Attorney General's spokespeople not explaining newest Pike County development.
They went to the Union Hill crimescene, but were only there a couple of hours.

bbm Do you have a link to the slumped over.? TIA

Argh! I just read it within the past 4 pages of this thread and now I can't find it. See this video, around the 2:15 time mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySCAXBNSyLk&feature=youtu.be

Those "new details provided by Kenneth about his son's death" that will be covered on tonights news include that he was shot 3 times, dragged to the back room and slumped over Chris. As soon as her report airs, I will post the link.

Attorney General's spokespeople not explaining newest Pike County development.
Said "they were there to hold the scene. They stayed a couple of hours and drove back out. If they were at the property to hold the scene, why not just drive cars?"

Now I really want to know if they went to any other locations..

I am forced to acknowledge defeat - just cant keep up!

I do not want the water search to be the dogs ...

do this for a laugh we can all use one

http://www.whio.com/videos/news/pike-county-investigation-may-move-toward-water/vDqjWx/

dive team here just to "hold the scene" what the h^ll does that mean -- you have to go underwater and hold the scene

my friends this is getting just out of control !!!

I am sorry I am visualizing three little men with their masks peeping out of this little pond "holding the scene"

that is the stupidest thing thus far !! Picture a toad or alligator eyes above water level ---dont see a thing!!

BBM. THIS! IS! HUGE!

This is the first time we have heard that 2 different guns were used. If this is true, then we know for sure that there were at least 2 killers.

Thanks for posting this. Great catch!

Two different killers, at least one of which was very familiar to the family pets, knew where each home was located in the darkness of night, and was able to gain access to said homes without waking the occupants.

I think the assassin(s) had a local escort, somebody that really hated this family.

This thread will be closing in 10 minutes. Please begin moving to Thread #5

I will try to bring over some of the news from today but you guys are free to bring over news links and snips as well so we are able to quickly reference those developments from today.

It is my hope to work on a MEDIA ONLY NO DISCUSSION thread this evening.

It looks to me like some kind of homemade swimming pool or watering trough for the dogs. It is located right next to all the dog houses. Side note: Who has THAT MANY DOGS?!
<Raises hand> We own that many dogs....and a few more. We have a kennel with show dogs. If these were the Coon hounds it's possible they were the dogs they hunted with and possibly bred. I'm aware of the other rumors regarding activities with dogs but typically I wouldn't think they'd be kept that close together IYKWIM

It was years before I knew my father in law's address. I went there. I didn't need directions, LOL. I really don't think the fact they didn't know the addresses is anything suspicious.
With email, people may not send cards anymore on Birthdays or special occasions. My Inlaws house #always escapes me. You would think after 33 years I'd know it! Everytime I send a card I have to ask my husband what the house # is!

The first of eight family members gunned down in Pike County was laid to rest Thursday.

“It's a sad day very sad day", Kenneth*Rhoden, father of GaryRhoden, said.

In a slow moving procession down a red dirt road in Kentucky, the body of Gary*Rhoden*was taken to its final resting place.

[...]

His father says the coroner told him Gary was shot three times in the head.

Kenneth believes the person or persons responsible knew the family.

[...]

Kenneth said according to the coroner there were two different bullet casings found at the scene, leading him to believe this crimes were the acts of more than one person.

bbm, Found at the scene the coroner reports, not (2) two different bullets in the body? OK let me say this, I just moved from a home that did have licensed weapons in it. On numerous occasion guns have been fired from inside the home, :) When we moved from that location to another, I found numerous shell casings behind dressers and on window sills.

Wouldn't they have picked up pings before today though? It's been a week...
I am fearing it is decomp smell or something floated to the surface based on the timing alone. MOO

I saw it, too. Someone said that he said Kenneth was shot 3 times in the head and was found slumped over CR1's legs. That means CR1 was killed first (at that crime scene), Gary second.

I'm wondering if Gary was sleeping in the living room, was shot, but only wounded there, maybe put up a fight. Then they went back to CR1's room and killed him. Gary was still alive, so they dragged him back there and shot him 3 times in the head, to make sure he was dead. The fight with Gary had to be over quick. If CR1 was in the back, he would have awoken and came down the hall. May have happened, too.

The idea of putting both bodies in the back room may have been to keep anyone coming to the front door from looking in the LR window and seeing bodies inside. Maybe killers were hoping to keep anyone from discovering them right away.

All just conjecture at this point, as not many details are public.

I think that is the roosters, not dogs ;)

I am sorry -- there is nothing funny about this--- hysterical .... am thinking heck we cant hold the scene above ground -----------------why on earth are we diving into some water for a couple of minutes

Sorry if already posted but I'm catching up. Looks like a lot of the property was inherited from his father. A number were either bought for nothing or for minuscule amounts (like $1800) and some from families that the Rhodens are facebook friends with!!

Also may be nothing but I saw on SM a post were the Rhodens were in fights (as seems usual) and someone (a family member I think) posted something like "let's kill them Camp Creek style"........I remembered when I saw the road the last property that they own is on "Camp Creek Road"......I wish I could find it again but I don't have time to search through all the SM again.

Because 8 people have been murdered.

Two different bullet casings on the scene seems more likely to indicate multiple killers. It seems unlikely that one person would go into a trailer to kill two very strong, healthy well armed men. And they knew two men were there.

Just me -- I am visual - I do not get "dragged" I get fleeing and sucumbing to shots moo
