The big bad serial killer is in court to complain. He isn't getting his pain medicine.

The self-styled chaplain was cuffed to a wheelchair and held a cane as he appeared in county court.

That loser is trying to make it look like the kid did it all - poor man can't even walk. But we know he is good at acting/lying - he conned his victims into believing he had a job for them. Beasley always has to have some kind of deception going on to entertain himself.

Rafferty expressed remorse for what happened to Kern. He said the Massillon man, while unknowingly being driven to his grave near Rolling Acres Mall, spoke of his love for his children. Rafferty said Kern was essentially being killed for his 1989 Buick that Beasley intended to scrap for money.

Because Kern was so poor, and their potential take so low, Rafferty said the death of a less-wealthy man “takes all the minimal sanity out of it.”

“This was completely unnecessary,” he told detectives. “I felt horrible.”

Too bad he didn't feel horrible enough to stop and turn in his psycopath of a partner.

Craigslist teen ‘never had a break in his life’

He was conceived only so his mother, at least for the nine-month pregnancy, would abstain from smoking crack cocaine.

But within four weeks of his birth, his mother left him to resume her crack habit, seeing the boy only sparingly over the next several years. On one such visit, his sixth birthday on Christmas Eve, she took him to a store, dropped him off and drove away, disappearing into drugs for two days.

As a kindergartner in Stow, the boy would rise and get dressed on his own, eat breakfast alone, walk to the school bus by himself and come home, again, alone. He lived with his father, but dad worked long hours as a machinist and rarely was around.

I don't see how the jury could have decided anything else. He should have taken the deal he was offered, imo.

Life in prison for Stow teen

Rafferty was set to be sentenced Monday. However, Common Pleas Judge Lynne Callahan delayed the hearing until Friday without explanation. Attorneys on the case are bound by her long-standing gag order. However, several sources close to the case say prosecutors were seeking Rafferty’s testimony against his co-defendant, Richard Beasley. In order to secure Rafferty’s appearance, prosecutors weree offering an extensive reduction to the sentence the Stow teen faces after his conviction last week in the murder, robbery and kidnapping of three men.

He should have taken the deal.

"... A remorseful teenager was sentenced Friday to life in prison with no chance for parole for his role in a deadly plot to lure men desperate for work with phony Craigslist job offers..."

Kind of surprising he received LWOP. The crimes, though, I found to be really heinous, not to mention idiotic.
Who in their right mind expects a big payday from single, out-of-work men ?
So sad for the victims and their families.

Sorry this link is being annoying. After our pc upgrade it doesn't work to 'copy and paste' very well.
This is the first article under "Latest Headlines" , with a photo of Rafferty.
