Thomas’s attorney, Michael Trevino, said that he found out about the murder charge through the media Friday afternoon. He also said that a deal for Thomas already had been arranged through the juvenile courts.

“I predict they will have egg on their face over this when they learn the full involvement of their new witness,” Trevino said.

Thomas was moved to a juvenile detention facility in November.

Does anybody think it could be harmful to Anne's case that prosecutors have gone against their deal? Like could Chloe's lawyer fight it and have things thrown out? KWIS?

I think the case is in a pretty good position right now. You've got one defendant that will serve 35 years, and that is dependent on hopefully locating her body. Worst case scenario is that Chloe ends up with only accessory to murder, and no murder charges. I don't think that will happen though.

IMO Chadd is probably telling the truth. Chloe's version of events seemed very vague to me and I always had a feeling there would be more to the story. Let's just pray that Chadd helps bring Anne home to her family.

I still feel like more than these two were involved, and maybe they can't take LE to the location of Annie Jo's remains because they aren't the ones who dumped her there.

Haven't found evidence of any friendship between Annie Jo and Chloe, but Annie Jo and Chadd were certainly aware of each other, at least since the summer before her death.

The thing is she was tagging him on most the post.
With that being said I'm just going to throw it out there that maybe Chole was jealous of her relationship with Chadd? Or upset she kept tagging Chadd? I get the feeling that this is the case here. There is not any other reason I can seem to find. I'm not buying the stealing of the car story.

Chloe may have been jealous of Annie Jo for other reasons — more stable home, more privileged lifestyle (from Chloe's POV, maybe) — but not over Chadd, I don't think. I saw her FB posts in the weeks after Annie Jo disappeared and she was missing his older brother pretty hard because he was in jail.

Chadd and Annie Jo seemed to have a little flirtation going on during the summer of 2013. They definitely appeared to be friendly toward each other. How does he then just *oh, so casually* agree to murder her just eight months later, just because Chloe suggested it? For what? A car? A little cash? Why would he do this to Annie Jo?

I'm just not... it's not making sense. There's more to the story, IMO.

If she lied during her deposition, it would automatically make the agreement null and void.

My money says she lied and they can prove it.

So then idk if this was talked about. But what was Choles relationship woth Chads brother like? Maybe Chadd felt Anne Jo was the reason his brother was in jail. Idk

We don't know yet about the info Chadd has been able to provide about where they dumped Annie Jo, but they are slow to find her if he has already been out with them. Chloe's info was certainly vague and useless without any doubt. I agree with you on them knowing what road they took and which direction they traveled.

I've been thinking maybe they both don't want to tell where she is because we would maybe find other things out. Maybe this was a thrill kill. Sure wouldn't be the first teenagers to do this. Maybe they did more then just strangle her and don't want to own it. After all 35 years is a pretty light sentience for murder imo so why take a chance and mess that up.

Jealousy, sexual advances gone horribly wrong, or someone thinking Annie Jo was a snitch — those have always been the top three on my list of possible motives.

Robbery? Nope.

Unless...if...big IF Anne Jo was holding on to some drugs or something for Chadds older brother. That wouldn't be to far fatched. I've seen it befor where drug dealers will have their girlfriend or someone who is not obvious to the police hold their supply for them.

Anything is possible, but if she was the reason...why would she have willingly gone to meet with his GF and brother? If she gave him up for drugs, she would be smart enough to know they would be really angry.

Annie Jo doesn't strike me as the type, but then I guess it is what would make her a good candidate to hold for him. I still don't see robbery as a motive here.
