Red bolded : Good question.
Or when was the last text/call communication sent from any of them ?

Blue bolded : That makes sense in how he may have controlled them, so no one could escape !

If found in the house I'd have assumed killed in their sleep, but then someone would've woken up from the noise of the gun.
Dying in their sleep might have been more merciful, but this monster (one would assume) seemed to take pleasure in inflicting as much terror as possible.
Slain outside and fully awake and alert. :(

Since the perp died in a cowardly fashion, he can't face a long slow wait in a jail cell before perishing from old age or execution --which would be the more likely scenario.
A crime like this would place JM at the top of the list in the state of OK !
So many have been impacted and horrified at his senseless crime.
Imo.

If law enforcement knew the girls were with this family, and became missing then this home where his wife and children were should have been one of the first places to look.
I haven’t seen A good timeline, this is what I’ve pieced together from the articles below.

What is a 1st degree RSO doing out on bond for solicitation of minor? Flight risk, maybe?
What is an RSO doing around teen girls? We have a registry to prevent this.
What is an RSO doing with a gun? RSOs are felons, cannot legally purchase a gun

The population of Henryetta is about 6000, why did no one, including LE, realize this RSO was in the community around young girls and out on bond pending a court case?

It sure looks to me like the justice system let this one go free, rather than keep him in jail until he was tried on charges. Someone needs to answer!

Completely agree with the above statements. They are very good questions that need to be answered by Oklahoma LE and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

IMO the citizens of Oklahoma, who pay the salaries of these people, deserve a detailed explanation of how and why this man was released and how, when, and why a convicted felon and RSO was able to purchase a gun.

MOO, but if this man solicited a minor using a contraband cell phone, while serving time in prison on rape charges, then clearly his behavior, attitudes, and mental health hadn't changed. Clearly he was a significant danger to others despite serving a prison sentence.

In order to prevent this from happening again to another innocent family, the public needs to know why the ODC released him to begin with, and what changes need to be made going forward.

He faced charges of child *advertiser censored* and soliciting sexual conduct/communication with a minor, and his initial court appearance was scheduled for November of that year. A preliminary hearing and a trial were rescheduled multiple times.

The state had planned to introduce evidence of McFadden's "prior bad acts" at the trial that was set to begin this week. In court documents, the state accused McFadden of sending handwritten letters and text messages to the teen "in which he not only discussed their relationship but also discussed things of a sexual nature and was manipulative and controlling of the victim."

According to the state, the defense counsel planned to argue that McFadden was in contact not with the teen but with her 21-year-old friend, instead, and that another inmate owned the phone McFadden was allegedly using.

The Muskogee County District Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.

I think they could have scattered after either the first shot rang out, or when they knew what was going to happen next. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were shot in the back. Maybe not the first, but I'd think the others would have run if fear didn't grip them. It's hard to imagine that many killed in the yard. Inside a house you're more contained.
The images I saw showed a home with a fenced yard. So, still somewhat contained?

According to Mayo, Holly Guess did not know the full extent of McFadden’s past sex crimes and that he apparently hired an actress to impersonate the victim of his crime to tell her daughter it was a misunderstanding.

Lynn Wyatt, the aunt of Holly Guess, told “Banfield” that the woman who impersonated McFadden’s rape victim recently reached out to her, explaining that she was sorry and was paid to lie for him.

Two of the kids found dead in Oklahoma were not the biological children of Joe Guess, but he told “Banfield” that he had always been in their lives and was even trying to adopt them, despite the fact that he and their mother had divorced.

He believed that McFadden had a “clean past.”

Guess was unaware that McFadden was a sex offender and said that if he had known, she wouldn’t have been living at the home.

I know this is just a technicality, BUT during the interview when LW states impersonator reached out to her, AB asks her.." did you report this to the police?". I have listened to her response 5 times and can't determine what her reply is before she continues to explain about calling cops with questions if the girls are even allowed in the house with him. My question is...What was her response- did she report conversation with impersonator to the authorities?

DISTRICT ATTORNEY EXPLAINS JESSE MCFADDEN'S EARLY PRISON RELEASE, TRIAL DELAYS

When a person registers as a sex offender in a given county, how do they go about it? Does LE get an update to alert them? The gm and aunt in the above vids state when they called the sheriff's office they denied any knowledge of JM being a registered sex offender, and would check into it and call them back. No return call ever came. I am NOT pointing the finger at anyone. I just wondered how the process works.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY EXPLAINS JESSE MCFADDEN'S EARLY PRISON RELEASE, TRIAL DELAYS

[...]
McFadden was convicted of rape in 2003 in Pittsburg County and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He was released after serving just under 17 years, in 2020, because of the way DOC calculates time.

Prisoners on different levels can get different credits, like credits for good behavior, having a job while in prison, taking classes and other things.

“It was an 85% crime so he was never going to get out before he served that. Through his programs that he took and the level he was, he was a level 4, which means he obtains credits like 45 days per month,” said Kay Thompson with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

DOC said McFadden wasn’t released early but, instead, his sentence was considered served, which means he wasn’t released on probation and didn’t have to report to DOC when he was released.

BBM.

This is MOO, but the way I read this report his release from prison appears to be based on a simple mathematical formula of 'credits' rather than his actual mental health status.

I would hope/expect the release of any prisoner would also based on a reasonable risk to the general public, but in the the link above the Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesperson doesn't mention anything about that.

Question: Did anyone in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections give him a comprehensive mental health evaluation before he was recommended for release?

I'm struggling so much to understand how the perp managed to murder 6 people without one of them breaking and running for cover ?
Just paralyzed by fear, probably.

Kids.
He slaughtered kids.
Imo.
I was thinking about this, I think if someone put my sisters and brother and I together and started shooting at us I would cling to them, not run from them. That’s my thinking not having ever been in the situation.

The woman who impersonated his victim is a monster. Who does that to another woman? Who does that to anyone? IMO

I work hard to not judge others for their decisions that don't impact anyone else, but this woman's decision is the exact opposite of that! And then for her to reach out to the family and tell them what she did - only to assuage her own guilt? That's some interior ugliness that is not going to go away. I hope she has charges brought against her.

Holly telling her ex that this man’s background check is clear.. so either she checked and knew or lied and did not check him. I am just confused by all the details in these interviews… this one regarding clear background statement and the one of the grandmother and aunt saying they knew about his record but because Holly said they couldn’t confront him they just dropped it??? And the aunt said she hasn’t reported the impersonator??? Am I following this correctly? It just cannot be true all of this

I also don’t understand why this wouldn’t be reported to the police. family said in interview they have not reported the person. makes me question the validity of the claim? could they be saying this to make things look less bad? just speculating moo

Besides being a tragedy, this whole thing is a flying cluster!

The mother of the convicted sex offender who was to appear in a new child sex abuse trial the same day he was found dead with six other people during a search for two missing teenagers on a rural property said her "heart is breaking" for all the families involved.
[snip]
"I've not had any time to think about my son or anything like that," his mother, Ladonna McFadden, said Tuesday in a brief interview by telephone. "I can't imagine what they went through."

"I don't understand it," she added through tears. "I never, ever, ever would have expected anything like this."
