He is still licensed by Florida DOH.

But suspended in New Mexico and the board certifications for traditional medicine that he claims have expired.
I think.
Right, he is still licensed in Florida, but the Board disciplined him by issuing a Letter of Concern against his license and he was fined a monetary penalty. He has until 2018 to pay the $5000 fine and $1234 costs imposed.
The thing is, he was disciplined and penalized by the Florida Board of Medicine for:
1. Failure to notify the Florida Board of Medicine in writing within 30 days of the 6/2014 license suspension by the New Mexico Board, and
2. Failure to update his Florida practitioner profile to disclose the 6/2014 license suspension by the New Mexico Board within 15 days
He clearly has violated those same Florida statutes again by not notifying the Florida Board of Medicine regarding the 2/2016 order of suspension of his New Mexico license and by not updating his practitioner profile disclosing that suspension.
I think it's safe to say as soon as the FL Board finds out, his FL license will be suspended as well. I'm truly amazed that he has set up shop at a new practice in Boca as if his FL license isn't in jeopardy.
Regarding board certification, that is for a specialty. His Florida practitioner profile states he holds specialty certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. A search for his name returns:
Roy Gilbert Heilbron
Today's Date: Apr 4, 2016
Not Certified
INITIAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Internal Medicine: 1993
Cardiovascular Disease: 2009
http://www.abim.org/verify-physician/Heilbron-Roy-2!03LyEmWtc=.aspx
The search results page says:
"If you do not find your physician or they are listed as not certified, they may be certified by another board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Please check www.certificationmatters.org"
Well, a search for his name on that site produces no results, so he is not currently board certified in any specialty. That comes as no surprise though because the ABIM certification policy states:
"ABIM will suspend or revoke the Board Certification of any diplomate who has a suspended, revoked or surrendered license in one or more jurisdictions and no valid license in any jurisdiction. A diplomate who has a suspended, revoked or surrendered license in one or more jurisdictions but who continues to hold a valid license in another jurisdiction or a diplomate whose license in any jurisdiction has been restricted may be subject to disciplinary sanctions, including the suspension or revocation of the physician's Board Certification."

So, claiming he is board certified in internal medicine on his FL practitioner profile when he actually isn't, is yet another violation of the statute requiring physicians to keep their profile updated.
This guy is a mess.
