Owner of the Infamous Purple Truck - Dr. Roy Heilbron

So, does anyone have any idea why Dr. Roy came himself in the purple pickup truck to pick up the electronics? If he only wanted/needed the information contained on the hard drives ETC wouldn't they have saved that to a flash drive or something? Or was he using the equipment to set up his new practice in Aventura? It's beginning to seem to me that Dr Roy, MS and whoever is involved in this convoluted scheme were and are targeting an extremely vulnerable portion of our population, including the elderly, by appealing to patients who are looking to improve their energy, health and longevity. . . .

That Roy Heilbron (I'm dropping the "Dr." until I see some evidence he's licensed) would want Mark's used electronics (remember how shoddy the Sievers' office looked behind the receptionist's station?) makes as much sense to me as Roy Heilbron, Ferrari enthusiast, wanting to test drive Mark's filthy minivan. Doesn't compute. That he would be willing to spend a week with Mark in order to pick up shoddy, used equipment makes even less sense. So I'm guessing there was a prior relationship.

I love pornstache! That is so clever

I take no credit for that term, but I think it's so descriptive, lol! :D

From what I understand (lol) from reading the legal documents/transcripts of RH's discipline hearings, he is a doctor and nobody can take that away because he did the work, but licensing and certification are something else. At the time of those transcripts, his only certification was for holistic practice, not cardiology or anything else.

I found this site that explains it better for those of us not in the medical field and it helped me understand SO MUCH more: http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2012/06/matter-doctor-board-certified-board-eligible.html

"...The terms “board certified” and “board eligible” are confusing to people not in the medical profession. It doesn’t help that more than a few doctors blur the distinctions to their own benefit. This post gives you a brief rundown on what’s at stake in the distinctions..."

I'm sure there was. Purple truck guy and i have other names for him as well seems to be very tight with TS's mentor , the Dr she admired for his medical approaches. His fb page is full of pictures of the mentor and him. so its pretty obvious Mark crossed paths with the truck guy too. I"m still curious if he crossed paths with TS, gut feeling is probably he did.

Jumping off that idea that MS and RH have known each other for a time, it's still very odd and very distasteful to have a strange man - and he would be a stranger to the girls - live for a week locked up in that death house with the girls. Neato dad. Fine, if he lived alone, but I wonder what the girls thought?

It appeared MS & RH were very comfortable with eachother.. ie, hanging out in the garage laughing while on the computer, MS taking photos of RH while riding his super sweet motorcycle down Jarvis. It appeared to be a very jovial visit, as well as when they loaded up the truck...although a bit like Curly & Moe with objects falling out of the truck.

The fact that this neighborhood has questioned such bizarre behavior by MS for so long, I'm now wondering....so could he have actually been on some type of drug? What would make someone go into someone else's home and just stand there staring? The roof episodes? Casing the neighborhood from shortly after they moved in and has continued for years...like he's totally paranoid. The fireworks with no regard to anyone or the safety of the homes. Thought the "bizarre" was finally behind :jail: and yet it still continues to unravel in another crazy direction. Hope Dateline/48 hours is up for a mini series event...this story is going to take a while and probably still be left with unanswered questions.

Thanks for so much helpful info to now wrack my brain!

Appeared comfortable. Not sure what I can post, but "appeared" to have known him or just very kind and welcoming personalities.

He is still licensed by Florida DOH.

https://appsmqa.doh.state.fl.us/MQA...seVerification?LicInd=54345&Procde=1501&org=

But suspended in New Mexico and the board certifications for traditional medicine that he claims have expired.

I think.

Right, he is still licensed in Florida, but the Board disciplined him by issuing a Letter of Concern against his license and he was fined a monetary penalty. He has until 2018 to pay the $5000 fine and $1234 costs imposed.

The thing is, he was disciplined and penalized by the Florida Board of Medicine for:
1. Failure to notify the Florida Board of Medicine in writing within 30 days of the 6/2014 license suspension by the New Mexico Board, and
2. Failure to update his Florida practitioner profile to disclose the 6/2014 license suspension by the New Mexico Board within 15 days

He clearly has violated those same Florida statutes again by not notifying the Florida Board of Medicine regarding the 2/2016 order of suspension of his New Mexico license and by not updating his practitioner profile disclosing that suspension.

I think it's safe to say as soon as the FL Board finds out, his FL license will be suspended as well. I'm truly amazed that he has set up shop at a new practice in Boca as if his FL license isn't in jeopardy.

Regarding board certification, that is for a specialty. His Florida practitioner profile states he holds specialty certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. A search for his name returns:

Roy Gilbert Heilbron

Today's Date: Apr 4, 2016
Not Certified

INITIAL CERTIFICATIONS:

Internal Medicine: 1993
Cardiovascular Disease: 2009

http://www.abim.org/verify-physician/Heilbron-Roy-2!03LyEmWtc=.aspx

The search results page says:
"If you do not find your physician or they are listed as not certified, they may be certified by another board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Please check www.certificationmatters.org"

Well, a search for his name on that site produces no results, so he is not currently board certified in any specialty. That comes as no surprise though because the ABIM certification policy states:

"ABIM will suspend or revoke the Board Certification of any diplomate who has a suspended, revoked or surrendered license in one or more jurisdictions and no valid license in any jurisdiction. A diplomate who has a suspended, revoked or surrendered license in one or more jurisdictions but who continues to hold a valid license in another jurisdiction — or a diplomate whose license in any jurisdiction has been restricted — may be subject to disciplinary sanctions, including the suspension or revocation of the physician's Board Certification."

http://www.abim.org/certification/policies/general/policies.aspx#eligibility

So, claiming he is board certified in internal medicine on his FL practitioner profile when he actually isn't, is yet another violation of the statute requiring physicians to keep their profile updated.

This guy is a mess.

Maybe those former patients of TS should contact the medical board with all the info on DR truck's suspended license, the emails they are getting from MS and Dr truck and any info like not getting medical records but it appears Dr Truck may have them...at least the medical board will be informed. IT will not hurt

This makes you wonder how R. H. manipulated tests results. You would think that any research he conducted would be flagged as suspect....
NIN's post showed that Dr. Sievers was a fan of Dr. Shealy. Eileen's shows that there is a connection between Dr. Shealy and Roy Heilbron (license suspended?), and thus that Dr. Sievers is more likely to have met or corresponded with Heilbron than we might have guessed.

By the way, the Heilbron/Shealy article on chelation is correct that chelation has long been the standard treatment for lead poisoning. According to a quick check with a Mayo Clinic article, it still is. The results of the TACT study that Heilbron has promoted seem weak to me, with most of the benefit occurring in diabetics and glucose used as the placebo in all populations studied, even the diabetics. As is so often the case in what we think of as "evidence-based medicine," the problem is with poorly designed studies (including bad placebos) and bias of one sort of another. In some cases, the company whose drug is being tested provides both the drug and the placebo and the placebo is never identified even in the full, published journal article.

The sloppiness of the Shealy/Helbron article is appalling. Twice these doctors, one of them a Duke Medical graduate, use "chelation's" as the plural of chelation. They refer to results being "fat better" when they clearly mean "far better." I may be picky, but I want a doctor who cares about his work.

Didn't LS say that there was a guy attending a conference that "expressed interest in Teresa? Could this be RH? Or maybe I'm suffering from memory loss like Mark.

:silly:

It's hours later, I've read your post a few times during that period while trying to find my place again and  it suddenly hits me that your DOH is Dept. of Health and not DOH in my innerspace Homer Simpson voice.

It pizzed me off SO BAD that he didn't even spell Teresa's name correctly in that letter.

Receiving the email made my skin crawl. The total lack of respect for Dr. Sievers in the content of the email makes my blood boil!

We've speculated throughout the threads that TS was possibly about to discover something nefarious that MS was up to behind her back, With indictment of dr Roy just a few days after TS' death... and the disposal of fax machines, etc being dumped from the office, there's got to be some connection. IMO

I wondered that also. The money found in the home safe, was that money for the practice or personal $$? After seeing those office pics, I highly doubt he had the office records in any order that she could tell if money was disappearing or not.

Reading about one member's identity theft pains me and concerns me that more of this could go on in the future.
I also believe that we will learn of more fraud, drug use/selling, and other nefarious things before justice is handed down. This case is really what scary dreams are made of and although I know some of you have expressed disbelief that TS could be manipulated this way, believe me when I say it could happen to anyone. She was obviously a very bright, well educated and caring woman who loved her family, patients and pets. She was a victim of a perfect storm of greed and manipulation. How deep that storm grew to be remains to be seen. Thank heaven her girls are safe now.
****i agree with you 💯% when you say we will learn more. We will learn more, it won't be pretty. My thoughts are so warped, and hopefully not on the money. I thank God the girls are away from that situation (aka their lives) but it was not soon enough. TS was a busy doc, mom and yes wife. It makes my heart break to think that her private life which she is/was entitled to is being exposed. It is the ONLY way however that justice will be served. And yes... I have a lot more to say I am just not going to.

Don't feel like you are out standing in the field by yourself....I thought the EXACT same thing.

Great post mom2chloe! I think one of the many factors that makes this case so interesting to some of us and me personally is that this incredibly intelligent woman was fooled by a man and ultimately ended up dead. How after 16 years and two kids was she just figuring out he was no good? He has had a lifetime of being associated with shady characters, one of which was a murderer. TS eventually was also surrounded by shady people. Did she know their backgrounds or was she too busy to check? In hindsight there were clues everywhere that her husband had a dark soul and surrounded himself with like people. Where all these people attracted to MS and his evil vibe or TS and her trusting nature? So many questions as to how this perfect storm brewed. The scariest question to me is if this bright, intelligent woman couldn't spot a killer who slept right next to her for 16 years would any of us be able to???

eta: To bring my post back to topic I would like to add that I'm seriously considering sending the medical board's findings and ruling regarding Dr. Purple Truck to the Boca news paper.
