I completely get that (and agree with it) when no POI has been identified, or if someone has been clearly named you can't sleuth others.
But I am a little foggy on what happens when LE actually posts a picture of a POI and is only missing the identification. Wouldn't that be a huge part of our role, to try to simply point out who might match the picture? (without going further)

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think in that case you would call it in. Imagine if you were wrong and the internet got their pitchforks out for the wrong guy. Rumors and incorrect info spread so, so quickly with social media. Being publicly accused of a heinous crime you didn't commit would be awful.

As soon as he's names, it's on though! We can sleuth our little hearts out

These pics make him look very..pretty? I think he's going to be a good looking guy. Or he is not a he at all. He doesn't look very masculine.

Another thought...someone in the grocery store saw this guy and, after the kidnapping, remembered seeing him and called in a tip, so that's why LE reviewed the video.

This seems most likely to me, unless they know for a fact Carlesha was at that store at the same time. Maybe they're tracing her movements from Sunday to see if they cross paths.

I can't tell for sure but I think they both look similar enough to assume it's the same guy. The ATM pics are kind of distorted looking because of the bright light shining behind the suspect.

The time stamp on the video shows 6:04 a.m. on November 3, 2014.

Earlier Tuesday, Action News obtained new surveillance video showing the moments just before 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither was forcibly abducted.

The video shows the first moment Sunday night when the victim came in contact with the large man who took her.

The man is seen reaching his hand out to her on the 5400 block of Greene Street and Freeland-Gaither slowly backing away.

She tries to get around the man again, and that's when he lunges and grabs her. The two then disappear from view.

I just watched this video and it certainly appears, that the car the POI was driving came by the same direction that Carlesha was walking, that he drove passed her, turned onto side street and gets out, then you see the bus drive by and then it shows the other view.
It shows the 2 different views intertwined one from the first video released along with the other that showed up later yesterday where you do hear voices. ( that video was posted here as well.)

Makes me wonder if she was being followed all along, from the Godson's party, someone who might be there.

And just what is that behind the white parked car. On it's right backside That looked like a person. It never moved tho and I do see the person walking in the background when the other person drove up and backed up.

From the first time I saw the ATM pics I thought the POI looked like a younger Michael from Lost (Harold Perrineau) And now that is who I am seeing. ARGH!

This is my first time posting so please excuse me it this has been mentioned before. To me it looks as if he has a slight limp due to cerebral palsy. My niece has the same type of gait due to CP and it reminds me of her.

So, was she alone in the back seat breaking the windows and left there alone? Was someone back there with her and if so, how did she break them? If she was back there alone breaking the windows, were the doors child lock? How did he the subdue her from the fron seat in a nanosecond?

Possible, but if she knocked out one window, why wouldn't she have jumped through it as she broke it? if he was in the front seat and hitting the brakes? She then went and broke the other window, so he didn't subdue her, if he did until after both were broken. Something else is going on.
