LE says there is no connection. I have to wonder about that just a bit. Jamie was a member of the Holly Grim missing person FB page.

Wonder if that's just a coincident that Jamie didn't seem to be an avid Facebook user yet liked Holly's page.

It is very strange. Maybe it's because Holly was a resident of the East Penn school district area, and Jamie was at one time too...a small town area, perhaps Holly's disappearance might have caught Jamie's attention.

This case is a tough one. With Jamie having a transient lifestyle, how can anyone know any area to organize searches of, or put fliers out?

Police have said foul play not expected as the skull is uninjured....but the rest of the body is missing so not sure why they are so confident.

Mmm, that's a strange one, it's not like she could have hidden her head and gone elsewhere.

Mind you, we had a local case here a couple of years ago which reported a mans head had been found and other body parts were "scattered around the village". The police said there were no suspicious circumstances...!! Folk were baffled until it was revealed he had hung himself and then over time (as bits had dropped off - yuck!) animals had scavenged the parts and spread them about. Gruesome.

There was a case in the UK where some poor man had hung himself in a tree on a golfclub, and over time, parts of his skeletal remains fell to the floor. Unfortunately, the person who found the first bones took them home and did not inform LE. It was only when more bones fell later, that he came forward.

In the case of the Gouldsboro remains though, I can't help feeling police have a pretty good idea of who the person is and how they died already. Otherwise,I just can't figure how they could judge no foul play just from a skull. The person could have been shot in the heart or something.

Well, there are a lot of people missing... I hope they follow up with the identity!

Troopers and Lehigh Township police have opened up a joint investigation.

It was miles back in woods off Route 507, just north of Gouldsboro. State police say they have sent the skull to an anthropologist for testing. Until those test results come back, police don’t know much about how old the skull is or where it came from.

April 30-Troopers were expected back at the scene Thursday afternoon to continue investigating.

I have posted this in the Jamie Metzlinger and Kortnie Stouffer threads.

One of my theories for the missing women in Allentown and Kortnie is a truck driver. Should you be interested in the truck driver theory, you may wish to google Adam Leroy Lane, the "Highway Killer" who operated here in PA. He committed murders in 2007. When caught, he had a copy of the DVD "Hunting Humans" in his possession. His case was documented on "48 Hours Live To Tell: Hunting Humans" Feb 26th, 2011.

Tracker, are you familiar at all with the Neal Falls thread that was recently started here on WS? I've been following along, and it's eerily reminded me of your theory. This guy has been linked to something like 20 states. There's no record of him being in PA released as of yet, but he's been tracked to Ohio and New York. This dude was a transient who basically just drove state to state, killing women. He followed the major highways. It's believed most of his victims had escort ads on backpage.com. When he was killed, he had a list of 10 potential victims on him, all from backpage.

Most of his potential victims had unstable lifestyles. Jamie Metzger would fit his MO. Holly, not so much....except there's that possible rumor much earlier in her case that a friend saw her picture/ad on an "adult website". The similarities are a little strange.

There's some new activity going on with Holly's case as appears on her facebook page. There seems to be frustrations with a lack of info and searches (understandably). A woman has volunteered to organize searches again and gather info.

It's been mentioned by a poster that there was a report of a man looking into a woman's kitchen through her screen door at a location near Holly before Holly disappeared. They said the news article had shortly after been removed from the internet. They are trying to get old archives of the paper to find the article.

Another comment also revisted an old account of a witness who says they saw Holly having a confrontation with a man outside the morning she disappeared. That info was also removed from the internet.

I think the lack of info and updates have been frustrating for everyone concerned. There are so many people here on WS and also in Holly's area that are very eager to help, but without any info being passed along, and no searches (or results of searches) being shared or publicized, there's little anyone can do to help.

This isn't directly related to Holly's case, but I'm posting a link to an old article here just so it's archived. This happened a few years before Holly's disappearance, but in the article it states that this had gone on two years before the present article was written.

it's an account of a peeping Tom in Holly's general area. He was caught looking into people's homes several times in a specific neighborhood, and on at least one occasion he tried to enter a home. It gives a good physical description as well as vehicle description.
He was doing these things at odd times...I think the article says between 9pm and 1am.

It's close proximity to Holly, and as said in the article, it had been going on in spurts since 2009.

Ok, I need some help discerning what this actually means:

Holly is listed on the ViCAP Missing Persons List for the FBI.

"ViCAP Missing Persons
The Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) maintains the largest investigative repository of major violent crime cases in the U.S. It is designed to collect and analyze information about homicides, sexual assaults, missing persons, and other violent crimes involving unidentified human remains. "

Does that mean they are comparing her case to unidentified remains cases, or does that mean with the word INVOLVING, that they have unidentified remains that are hers?

https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/vicap/missing-persons

https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/vicap/missing-persons/holly-ann-grim

"Attention: Homicide, Missing Persons and Crime Analysis Units
Missing Person – Holly Ann Grim Missing: November 22, 2013 Wescosville, Lehigh County, PA
ViCAP ALERT
MISSING PERSON – WESCOSVILLE, PA"

"ViCAP Alert # 2015-03-02 / Released: 03/19/2015 / GWW"

IMOO.

I have no idea, but to me it means that her DNA, dental records, statistics are on file or in a data base rather that she is immediately available for comparison to unidentified bodies as they are found.
