What makes you think there was blood found?

They are keeping an open mind that this case could possibly be related to Holly's.

Imo they must have some reason to call her disappearance a "criminal matter" so quickly, while LE in other cases (Christina, Chelsea) stick to a "missing persons" case for much longer.

Has the husband made any statements? Her sister has spoken out, but has the husband? Not accusing, just wondered if I had missed an article where he had been interviewed.

Here's the route she likely took. The Dollar General ending point is where her car was found. So, it's a straight shot down Main Street.

I wonder if LE has searched the canal/creek bordering her work and where her car was found.

Her car could have just been left at the dollar store. Doesn't mean she was actually there.

Something has caused them to determine it is a criminal matter. My interpretation comes from ..... her disappearance is being treated as a "criminal matter," LE doesn't do that when an adult 'leaves voluntarily', which seems to be the usual first assumption.

The timeline keeps changing. Now they say she left DDG at 12:50. She then phoned her husband and left a FB message for her sister at about 1:00. It would be helpful to know the exact times of each. If she dialed her hub while driving, then hung up and texted while driving or visa versa), that timeline makes a lot of sense to get her very near the Dollar Store parking lot, sort of. That very well could have been about 1 mile up the road, more or less. What time did they find the car? At some point, was there another car or truck parked there as well?

She drives a Suburu Outback. It would be nice to know the year. Did she always park along the side of the building? Was she parked along the side or in the front the day she came missing?

From the street itself, there are very few windows for anyone to see anything going on at DDG from the insides of their buildings. Up the road is an apartment complex, with the back side facing the daycare. There is a automotive repair shop next to the daycare, which has a business office at the front, but everything seems to have a blocked view of the daycare. Along the side and back of the daycare building, there are houses, but mostly far away. There's a walking path across the street, and narrow (probably less traveled) road - LOTS of places for a person to hide.

All in all, unless you live or work over there, it makes no sense at all that you would venture down there. Someone not routine might look out of place. If some nefarious character spotted her while waiting for his car repairs, or walking the path, they could have come back any time later (even months or a year) to scope out the routines of everyone around.

Was her car locked in the parking lot? If it was unlocked and someone crawled in the back, they could surprise her and threaten her to pull off somewhere while she was driving, probably once she hung up her phone call and text.

Instead of looking at where she was headed, I think they should seriously look around where she left from, which is DDG.

Jmo hard to believe this would be random, in the middle of the day, with Jessica out to run what sounds like a brief errand...

I'm pulling together all the information on this case that I can so I can plot it all out on google earth. I want to see if there is any secluded spots between the day care and the fence company and why the car might have ended up behind the dollar general. If there is no evidence on the ground around the car, I am wondering if the "event" occurred elsewhere and the car was dumped there. Criminals that commit an act and people that go missing of their own free will need two things: 1. Time and 2. Distance. In either scenario, leaving the car where it may not be seen for a while provides both. It also appears that whomever put the car there knew the cameras did not cover that spot. That should be telling in itself. We do have five women missing in the same general area, but I would not go so far as to say any or all of them are related at this juncture, other than the fact they all vanished into thin air with little evidence to work with.

Can someone refresh me on Holly's case?

I was reading over there last night, trying to refresh my memory on things. There are many many posts on it, but IIRC (was reading during the night lol) she dropped her son off at school around 6:30 am and returned home. Her mother showed up around 7:00 am and Holly was not there. Glasses, cigarettes were there and they found an overturned cup of coffee and the coffee table askew. The mother called her boyfriend of four years and he came right over. She is still missing and all reports are that she would never leave her son.

(Long time Holly followers, if I have messed up anything, please correct).

I keep thinking with the holidays approaching, that she may have wanted to kill two birds with one stone, i.e. running errands on lunch hour. Maybe she stopped there because she needed paper plates or whatever. People close to her will know what her habits are though I think - I hope. JMO

No, that's pretty good summery. I added a link to the Holly thread to my post.

If the Dollar General is like the one here, if you park BEHIND it, You have the walk a ways to go in. It's not a stand alone store. It's more for delivery trucks and not parking spaces. Is this one different?

No that's how it seemed to be. The front is street/metered parking since this DG sits off of Main Street in what looks like a downtown type area. The main parking lot for the store is around back and is barely visible from the main road. It also means that cameras from all the main st businesses couldn't pick up any surveillance.

I hope they have looked for camera footage from all around then. Would she have come in from the Main St as well or from behind? There must be some footage along that route to show if she was driving her car.

Her sister is under the impression there was no sign of a struggle. It seems the criminal investigation may be based on circumstantial evidence rather than the obvious signs. Hoping a strong lead comes to light soon!

Northampton D.A. John Morganelli told NBC10 officials are treating the woman's disappearance as a criminal matter, mainly because she hasn't reached out to anyone, not even her husband, children or parents, since she went missing.

"She wouldn't just not go back to work," said Davis. "They're not sure if she was taken, if she left on her own or if she knew the person. There wasn't a sign of a struggle. So we're not sure what happened."

The only thing I'd amend, Cats, is that Holly dropped her son at the bus stop and did not take him all the way to school, IIRC.
