Maybe someone who has downloaded the Affadavit Attachment A and who lives closer to Birmingham, Alabama than I do could call the FBI Media Office and tell them about the obviously wrong date. They might also mention the lack of a previous filing date on the document.

WTH was Beth/reps EVEN thinking to go into this deal with the information Joran stated. Oh my goodness, I have a bridge to sell to them.

I can understand if this deal came about within the first year or so, but after every lie, in all forms possible, over five years and they still did this?

I just watched a video on CNN and they said that all of the surveillance from the hotel has been looked at. There were no breaks or pauses..etc. No one else entered but JVDS & SF and no one else left but JVDS. So there is NO possibility that anyone else was is in there. Also per the newscaster from CNN, most hotels (I think she meant maybe in Peru, not sure) do not normally have surveillance cameras in their hallways but that this hotel in Peru, did. JVDS may have figured they didn't or wasn't thinking about it because supposedly, if I'm wrong correct me, he had denied any involvement in the very beginning when questioned. Obviously it's known he is a liar and has confessed and changed stories in the past so it would be hard to trust anything he is saying anyhow.

The fact that this murder took place the exact day Natalee went missing, to me seems it was pre-meditated. Why on this exact date would he do almost the same thing he did with Natalee (met at Casino, then she went missing..)? Too much of a coincidence for it to be an act brought on by rage IMO. Also body language can tell us a lot and JVDS did not looked panic or hurried when leaving the hotel. And before entering the hotel room, when checking in, it looked like he knew what was going to happen.

I also wonder if, because he had no help, that this is why the body was not dumped in the ocean (as he had been searching for oceans/beaches in Lima on the computer I believe?) and left in the room. I wonder if in Natalee's case she also had been brought to a hotel and killed in the same manner and because he had help possibly, her body may had been dumped in Ocean ?

Is there any post/thread on here that has a list of all the facts of Natalee's case? It might be helpful to see the comparison of both cases.

I pray that the truth will come out and that both families will have closure and for this reason hope that Joran would not die in a prison until he has spoken the truth about Natalee & Stephany. I also pray that there will be justice and ultimately Gods' will be done.

Thank you everyone for the helpful information in this case. I've followed the Holloway case since 2005 off and on, searching the internet for info. Then when the McStay Family & Chelsea King cases came about, found this website, what a wealth of information it is.

The only problem that I see with this is that it was obviously his room. It was registered to him. Either way, if the body was found in there, cameras or not, he was going to be the first person suspected.

You do bring up a great point about the same days.

Maybe it is just me, but I'm torn between this guy just being a pathological liar, who has a temper and explodes at times, or a psychopath. If he did plan this as such, then I would definitely lean towards the psychopath. But, a lot of this just seems as if goes 'crazy', and this time around, he just didn't have anyone to help him 'clean up'.

I am NOT liking the date missing at all considering the last contact from Joran was May 17, 2010 and then 17 days later out pops an arrest warrant on June 3, 2010.

Clearly there was no additional evidence to make the original "insufficent" evidence, become now enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant.

My gut is telling me that there was correspondence from Beth/Rep to Joran shortly after they received Joran's email. There HAD to be, and I still have a feeling it was within a fews days before Stephany's murder.

One more piece needed to complete the puzzle for the 5th anniversary

Yep, and the quick typing and non dated Affidavit tells us a lot. There is more to come, if we ever find out I don't know.

It's been said that surveillance monitors were in full view at the front desk so it would be hard to assume he didn't know there were cameras. Maybe he was arrogant enough to think the cameras wouldn't catch it. Not on full time or whatever?

I also think he would have dumped Stephany's body in the ocean if he could have managed it. But this time he didn't have assistance like before.

And I SO wish this case could have it's own forum and not just this one thread. There is so much to discuss, especially since it really goes back five years and looks likes it's going to continue for some time.

Just bringing this over from the last thread to answer....

The handshake itself is a typical way to pass the drugs from one person to the other.
The cut is a cut of the drugs purchased, not cash.
I'm not saying she was a drug dealer at all. Just that if they were hanging out at the casino, and he says he's after some pot/coke, then she says "Yeah, I know who has some", and goes off to get it for him.

Not saying this is what happened...just a possibility.
ETA: after the handshake he plays around with his poker chips for a bit before putting his hand under the table. It would be waaay to obvious to put it into his pocket straight after the handshake. I guess it's the static from the little baggies that allow them to kinda stick to your palm.

The things you do for a missing daughter.

I have been in contact with Janis McCall, whose daughter went missing some 20 years ago, and she has never had her daughter, legally, declared dead. The way she puts it is, even if there is that 1% chance, she will never give up hope.

In this case, even if there is a 1% chance that she will gain the information to be able to bury her daughter (upon the assumption that she is dead), that almost has to be what you have to go on.

MHamby, didn't think about, thank you! So was he staying in this hotel before he and SF arrived or did he just check in that night?

I believe the FBI was looking at the broader picture and hoping that he would some how slip up and lead them to Natilie's body in one way or the other.

Now, it is obvious that he is going to be tried for this murder, and now everyone knows about the sting, so, now they present the affidavit.

I understand they may have wanted to solidify their case, etc. But why not unseal the affidavit at the same time they brought the extortion complaint to light in the press conference on 6/3 rather than waiting until today? And why wasn't it filed with the court until today. That doesn't make sense to me - at all.

I know and I knew I would get flack over what I wrote. However, we do know that all they wanted to do is get him anyway they could.

As one looking for answers after my child was killed, I can totally understand it. I would want answers no matter how much time had passed and I would most likely pay whatever I could to get them. My personal opinion, though.

What I'd like to know is what is the lady holding in her hand next to his shoulder? Is she using that as a reference to measure an injury that perhaps SF inflicted on Joran?

IDK. When I watch the video it is take from it seems clear to me that it is JORAN but in a script not block, but thought I should ask everyone else to take a peek.

I think she was measuring a bruise. Probably noted in the first thread.
