I explained that I was five years ago was arrested, I was suspicious of the disappearance of the girl. That was half hours after we had entered 309.

As I said, she hit me on my head with her left fist.

I have been traveling for work for the past three days and haven't had a chance to get caught up on everything, but I have a quick question...

I have heard conflicting reports that Joran's original attorney quit and then I heard he was back on the case and also heard that Cesar "can't remeber his last name" was on the case....

TIA for anyone willingly to clarify for me!!

I think many posters take his confession with a *huge* grain of salt because he lies so much. There's probably some truth in his confession but it's very hard to know what to believe when it comes from Joran.

I just saw the video that shows JVS cell.The video shows, what appears to me, a solid metal door to the cell.
I don't see how he can be friends with other inmates, play cards and chat without the door being unlocked and open.
Did I miss something?

All things considered, I think Stephany's death resulted from a failed sexual pass. I think Joran made a pass at her, she resisted, they began physically fighting and he killed her in a rage at being sexually rejected. I can't see him with premeditation bringing her back to his hotel room to rob and kill her no matter how desperate he was for money. That makes no sense. He would know that he would never get away with that. The big red flag here is that Stephany's pants were off. When he was asked by interrogators why he removed her pants he said he didn't know. Well, I think he did know. He would just never admit that though.

I agree...Remember Stephany was an advocate for warning other females of the dangers of travelling alone, etc...She must have known self defense against a rape.

I think it was robbery because he got her pin #(s) before killing her. She wouldn't have given that info to him voluntarily, imo.
The pants/shirt off - like someone else mentioned - after he killed her he was frantic trying to set up a crime scene (attempted rape) which was part of the phoney coffee trip.

In his state of mind, he was trying to get out of being accused - he just did a very poor job.

If you look at the end of the bed where the books are, you can barely see the bars. I think at one point, JC mentioned them. I thought it was a radiator of some kind at first.

Good point about shift change! Maybe whoever was on duty when the arguing was going on had already left when he went to get coffee, came back, etc. I don't remember though hearing any more about the argument since some initial reports. MOO

I hope we'll hear about the employee re time of arguing...I recall a GVS interview/videotape (somewhere) where Greta is at a similar room at the hotel in Peru. Greta described the rooms as like a "tomb." She was referring to the walls being able to block out sound, and that the walls were even covered with tile.

Welcome, nascareh! I read that, too. If he did kill her around 6:00 am, it could explain why he was so composed when he was staging the 2 coffee cups scenario. Also, he was clean and in different clothing. But how gross would it be to let along murder someone and then hang out with the dead body for 2 hours.

I totally believe Joran is capable of being that GROSS and disgusting.

What surprised me is that they were able to get a shirt and especially pants large enough to fit Joran. He is a huge guy and the Peruvians are by and large short people. I would have thought that they would have had to put his outfit on special order. I somehow don't see him being transferred to another prison or going into general population. I would think Cuba Cuba would want to keep him there for whatever good publicity they can muster. He is sort of a celebrity prisoner after all.

I thought about that too....especially upon seeing the little guy that was leading him to another area of the prison when JC was there for her story; but then I remembered the big guy that was escorting him for his perp walk photo shoot. The guy on Joran's right was just as big if not heftier than him. They should have had Patty G's son down there to take care of him. LOL He's not mama's baby any longer... BIG guy.

Thanks for that laugh,lol....someone earlier had written something about JVS knock knock game and I instantly had a knock knock joke but I was afraid it would upset folks as this is just so sad....we have to smile though to keep our sanity through these horrific cases,IMO
