All this pseudo-psychological gossip relating to his facial movements is fair but nobody really knows what is behind it. A soulless smirk is not enough to convict a person of any crime they are being accused of.

That said, I'm thrilled he's been caught and hope to discover more information as I do believe he is guilty. I don't believe Natalee and Stephany are his only victims... interesting how both young women have their names spelled in a trendy fashion, though... maybe there is a Brittanie out there.

That sounds like a possible defense strategy. It's very likely, also, that his mother and friends of his father will contribute money for a good attorney. On the plus side, doesn't the hotel have video footage of who came and went? It will be a difficult case to make if there's no video of anyone else going into JVS room. In addition, Stephany was reportedly robbed of $5,000 and JVS suddenly had a lot of cash after he disappeared from the hotel.

It just seems an uphill fight to defend him in Peru where the victim's father has all the connections.

I haven't heard about any video footage, just reports from hotel staff about seeing Joran and Stephany enter the room and then Joran leave later in the morning. I sure HOPE the hotel has video!

That's just it. I'm nervous. Yesterday I was thrilled beyond belief thinking this is it for him. He will finally get his. Then I just started to worry about someone screwing up/tampering with/losing the evidence, survelience tapes magically disappearing, witnesses recanting their stories or being labeled non-credible, Aruba finding some way to get their little golden boy out of the hell hole prison, and it just goes on and on in my mind.

How many times did Beth get her hopes up that justice would finally be served only to have her heart broken in a million pieces time after time. I guess I will rejoice and be glad when we have something more concrete that justice will be served.

Verminslooth might not have daddy cleaning up his mess this time, but he has a whole island of cheerleaders and supporters behind him, as sick as that is.

BBM.

That's fine. That island can continue to "cheerlead" for him. I just hope they know that very few Americans will ever vacation in their country ever again. Myself included. And if they want to continue to think he's a wonderful boy then they can let him prey upon their own young daughters. Then we'll see how much they support him.

I thank the Good Lord that devine intervention is taking place.

I can't help but think that this would trigger much sadness for Natalee's parents. I'm sure this is very hard on them.

I pray justice is swift and the punishment fits the crimes that he has commited.

Hey! What a great time to make my 100th post!

Me too. I want video. No eyewitnesses, which can be bought off by his family.

Peru is now on the world stage. The daughter of a man with political ambitions. What better opportunity to prove to the citizens of Peru that he is a fair man and worthy of their support. Joran will be treated well and will get a fair trial. The media will be all over this for a long time.

That's what I wrote in the earlier thread, but no one responded. I'm telling you, that will be his defense. Plenty of potential suspects: father, ex-girlfriend, enemies of father. Remember that the family first suspected she had been kidnapped.
bolded by me.

sorry if someone has already posted this, but one of her friends said that she was very afraid of something bad happening to her in that gambling environment(see link below), so it's hard to understand why she would have left willingly with VDS, or anyone else from that "scene".

I wonder how he spirited her out of the casino, what promises did he make. Did he use the same MO with Natalee in Aruba? This article says that Miss Flores was a known lesbian, who was struggling with her sexuality. I wouldn't be surprised if this had something to do with him killing her.

How does he get this money to move around and visit different places? Is it inheritance money? Gambling? This has always baffled me. What does he do? Is he still in college?

By the way... haven't seen this posted yet. The victim's father was not just a racecar driver.

He's also run for president and vice president of Peru.

JVS is screwed.

KARMA at it's best!!!

Praise God this scum was caught.:woohoo::loser::dance::boohoo::behindbar:
:praying::dervish::toastred:

I hope he has some connections like Moron Verminsloth's daddy did....maybe he won't make it to trial....no wait...I want him to go to a Peruvian prison first and THEN meet her daddy's connections!

Those fighting for Natalee were tenacious and strong - what was missing was the connections to make things happen in Aruba. Seems to me Stephany's dad has the connections to make things happen and will make the law work for both, his daughter and Natalee. Maybe this is all my big wish, but somehow it seems possible. moo

He seems to be very into drugs, if that tape of him in the car with that reporter is any indication (the one where he didn't know he was being taped). I don't know if that means he just uses, or if he sells, too...just sayin' ..Assuming that selling could help finance his traveling.

I can't think of any good reason why he would want to return to the crimescene AFTER the fact with two coffees and take the chance of getting caught right there and then, perhaps by housekeeping or anyone who may have found the girl in the meantime.
Why did he not run then? Hop the plane?
I find it highly unlikely to return to the hotelroom with two coffees to stage a diff scenario when he left behind so much other evidence that strongly points in his direction.

Did someone else entered the room in the meantime?
Did he kill her when he returned with the coffees?
Did her father catch up with her...and became angry?

So many diff scenarios however him running suggests involvement. Can't wait to hear more details

Hmm... very interesting questions. However, he probably knew no one would enter his room since he told the staff not to enter his room while he was staying there. He may have even left a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door.

Maybe he left to get coffee to establish an alibi and was going to call the police when he "found" her in the room, but changed his mind and took off. Or maybe he just needed two cups of coffee to clear his mind and figure out what to do. (But why not order one large coffee instead of two?)

Yes, and the murder occurred in the victim's homeland.

I think he's been connected to the "underworld" and various activities involved in that world since his days in Aruba!! Hopefully, this will lead to other busts of people connected to him!

According to his gambling friends in the Netherlands, he was borrowing money from everyone. He apparently borrowed enough funds to get to Lima with the promise he was entered in a SA Poker Tour/Tournament. A post farther back quoted his poker buddy's blog where he said JVS had been calling everyone asking them to send more money as he had none for food or to pay his hotel bill. Everyone refused and the friend speculated JVS may have killed this woman for money.

At least that would be a motive. Maybe she went home to get more money.

*respectfully snipped*

Well, perhaps Vermin's manner of committing murder is escalating. He may have started out drugging women (perhaps after torturing animals as a child) and now he is hitting them over the head, breaking their necks, and stabbing them. Where is Agent Hotchner when you need him?

Seriously, like others have suggested, someone needs to track Vermin's travel schedule against deaths/disappearances. Where is Garcia when you need her?
Sorry for the Criminal Minds references, but Vermin is definitly someone who needs to be under the microscope and exposed.

Hope both coffee cups were still in the room - DNA from both cups might prove valuable. moo

So...with no money...How did he pay the driver/drivers to take him the 4 hour trip that cost $650???? as he was fleeing...With her money, I presume??
