I keep wondering if the date is just a coincidence. I don't think the date meant anything to him.
The two weeks he had been there, I wonder had be brought any other girls to the room.
His entry to the hotel, I think hes trashed.imo

I agree. I'll bet he didn't have a clue the date meant anything. I saw him as trashed as well on entry. His wide eyed demeanor on exit could be explained by what had transpired in the room, the probable shower, the coffee. Sobered him right up!

Also, someone pointed out that he's wearing a watch when he leaves the hotel, which I noticed too. Only it doesn't look like a big 'blokey' watch.
When they arrive at the hotel it looks like stephany is wearing a loose- fitting watch. Her family says that all of her valuables were missing when they found her body
Could he be so brazen as to wear her watch after killing her?

Her watch in the video seems metallic with links and his looks like a black leather band.

Hang on a sec....I seem to remember reading at some point that they went to the hotel together earlier in the evening too?
Am I mistaken?

Because if true, then it would make perfect sense that she didn't have any of her belongings on her when they went to the room in the morning.

Maybe earlier in the evening he said something about it not being safe to have her purse, keys, cell, ect on her in a casino, and she could keep them in his room for safe-keeping. Which would also explain why she went back to the room with him in the morning..... Just to collect her belongings before heading home to get some sleep.

How close is the casino to the hotel?

I don't spend much time in casino's but in the limited time I have I never carry my purse. My attention is elsewhere and it seems like a very easy way to lose my purse. Just a thought as to why she doesn't have one with her.

As far as going up to his room, clearly there is no sexual vibe going on there which would give her a sense of security (not worried about what he expects when they get there). They are similar ages, in the same place, with obviously shared interest. He could have told her he wanted to show her something, give her something... I don't find it odd that she went up to his room at all.

I am curious if this is the first time she had been to the room, or is this just the video from the last time she is seen and the last time he leaves the room.

Well, she probably used the 1,000 for gambling, and she won 5k euro. Somewhere between 1,700 US dollars. So, we can say roughly she had 2k with her. Enough to get him to another country. Is that enough to kill for?
Dr. Baden said his intentions were sexual. So the money was a bonus.

Was she not planning on staying long? If indeed she won money at the casino, why leave it in the car?
I have NEVER left my purse in the car. Or my cellphone.

He does not appear drunk. Neither does she. They have been up all night, returning to his room around 5ish am.....he leaves three hours later....did they just go to sleep for the time being....did she?.....did he?
He doesn't even look tired when he leaves the hotelroom.
What am I missing here? ugh!

Maybe her purse was somehow already in his room for safe keeping while they went to the casino (convinced by him it was safe) and she came back with him to get it. This wasn't his plan.

Her hand is empty - I thought at first when I saw the video that she had something but her hand is empty - you see her loose watch on her RH and then she slips it into a front pocket - getting something? Making sure her car keys are in there?

Just some ramblings after reading the latest posts: She has her wallet and cell phone in her pants pocket --she is not wearing a dress. That's what they found of hers in the room. She was playing poker--I have never had a purse with me when I've played and I've never seen a female player with one--where would you put in while you were playing? On the table?--no one likes anything but drinks and butts on the table. Why did she go to his room? Because she was 21. Why does she look strange? I think it's obvious she is avoiding the cameras.
