He does not appear drunk. Neither does she. They have been up all night, returning to his room around 5ish am.....he leaves three hours later....did they just go to sleep for the time being....did she?.....did he?
He doesn't even look tired when he leaves the hotelroom.
What am I missing here? ugh!

She could have kept the money in the pocket of her jeans.

I guess I am not the only one that thought that JVDS looked rested. Some say he is relaxed (?)...Maybe it was the long shower he took after....

Does she have a jacket tied around her waist? Looking at the video it's like something is hanging around her waist or her pants are really baggy in the butt area. Dunno, hard to see. Anyone else see anything?

Funny how 2 people can view things differently...I thought she was just wearing a stylish dress.
 
I keep wondering if the date is just a coincidence. I don't think the date meant anything to him.
The two weeks he had been there, I wonder had be brought any other girls to the room.
His entry to the hotel, I think hes trashed.imo

Earlier today I read they sat in her car for about 45 min or so before going up to his room. I wonder if that is where he slipped her a ruffie and maybe had already taken the money out of her wallet.

That would give a reason for her demeanor, eh? Then when they got in the room someone heard an argument between them and the bed was totally messed up when she was discovered. She might have got a little life back in herself after sitting down and wanted her money back! Then he put the make on her if he was all steamed up, maybe to distract her, she said stop and he snapped w/ anger. Just sayin'. IMO

It could also be that Joran struck up a conversation with Stephany because he saw she was winning. His plan was to steal the money after he got her into the room, and figured she would not realize it until he had skipped out. So he slipped something into a drink she already had or that he bought for her. (There has been much talk of him being broke.) He probably did this right before the casino closed so that the drug would be just taking effect as they left. He charmed her, pretended to be a gentleman by walking her to her car. By then she was feeling woozy, and maybe even thought she was getting sick, or had eaten something that didn't sit right, etc. So this "gentleman" (as he was pretending) suggested that she should not drive in that condition, but that it would be fine with him if she went back to his room with him, just to sleep it off. To gain her confidence he didn't make any advances to her at all en route to the hotel. A sexual assault was not his first motive, although that would have been a nice addition to his night, no doubt he would have thought.

At any rate, they get to the room, she by now is ready to sleep. Maybe he planned to take the money in the morning so that she would not have time to notice it was missing. But, when morning comes and he starts to execute his plan she awakens, sees what he is doing, and confronts him. That is when he went into a rage, and Stephany lost her life. Just pure conjecture here, but seems plausible to me. JMHO
 
Could he have taken the purse from her in the car...took the money out and wouldn't give it back...was playing with her...told her if she came back to the room for a nitecap he'd give it back to her...just thinking. Her demeanor is a bit off...could she have been angry?

Sounds about right. I think its funny how the hotel staff recall an arguement between the 2, but not to think to check on her for 72 hours. I am still stuck on that!!

Which vid are you referring too? When he leaves the hotel in the striped shirt he's carrying 2 bags that are filled to capacity...but I doubt the coffee was in there. LOL

Also, someone pointed out that he's wearing a watch when he leaves the hotel, which I noticed too. Only it doesn't look like a big 'blokey' watch.

Could he be so brazen as to wear her watch after killing her?
 
The more I look at the video - she seems stoned yet apprehensive if that makes sense.

Looking at the video when she enters the hotel room - she is clearly wearing a dress over pants or has something tied to her waste.
 
JVDS sociopathic rage would have been something like : Can't get sex from her, or her money, she is of no use to me. I believe his rage had been building up over a period of time, especially since his financial status was reportedly bleak. Again, MOO.
 
I don't spend much time in casino's but in the limited time I have I never carry my purse. My attention is elsewhere and it seems like a very easy way to lose my purse. Just a thought as to why she doesn't have one with her.

As far as going up to his room, clearly there is no sexual vibe going on there which would give her a sense of security (not worried about what he expects when they get there). They are similar ages, in the same place, with obviously shared interest. He could have told her he wanted to show her something, give her something... I don't find it odd that she went up to his room at all.

I am curious if this is the first time she had been to the room, or is this just the video from the last time she is seen and the last time he leaves the room.
