I read the article linked in post 457. The English translation says "back door" but it is translated incorrectly. The employee actually stated that he/she used the copy of the room key to enter Joran's room. Hope that helps a little.

Also, if I read the timer on the video right, it seemed to me that it took 15 min to get from the lobby to the room...that is a considerable amount of time. If his friend was rooming with him, then his friend could have been in the room already waiting for them, or had a room in the same hotel (joint room)?? This may have been done by two people.

the timing of the video is confusing to me:

Lots of holes in that theory. If an assailant hid in the room until they came in, we would have seen VDS running out of the room to get help. If an assailant hid in the room until after VDS left at 8:45 the next morning, he would have needed a very good hiding place as well as being an expert at not making noise or moving for hours on end in a very small hotel room.

Is Tacopina just trying to get free publicity?

It's been a long time since I studied Spanish in college, but I recall, its the idiomatic phrases and irregular verbs that always throw you. Google Translation is what they refer to as "machine translation", it doesn't always recognize idioms.

I don't think they walked from the casino- it's another translation error. Videotaped walking TO the hotel vs. Videotaped walking INTO the hotel. She drove him from the casino to his hotel, where they sat for 45 minutes before going in. I believe there are witnesses to this- I'm going to go look for the link.

We don't know how many of the rooms on the 3rd floor were being occupied. Also, we don't know the temperature in the room or if the window in that room was opened for air flow. She was found on the third day. I'm not sure that the odor would have set in until then. Nonetheless, the workers noticed the odor on the 3rd day and went in and found her.

Remember that woman who was in the military, a short while after the female maiine was found in the other marines backyard, in a makeshift BBQ pit? Can't remember any names tonight...Maria Lauterbach, that was it. Anyway, shortly after that crime, a woman was killed (unrelated to Lauterbach case) and left in the bathtub of a hotel. IIRC it was on day #3 that a hotel worker entered the room due to the smell, or complaints about the smell....

Anyways I have followed the situation with Joran VDS since Natalie Holloway went missing.
I am pretty convinced that JVDS is in the big business of exporting women for sex, and is not working alone. If he sold Natalie to someone (one of his stories) that may have been the beginning of a means to support his gambling habit. I read somewhere he was involved in this in Thailand, so evidently he is involved and nothing says that he would stop doing this as a means of income. In the last five years, he may have a "black book" of people to sell to.
It was interesting to hear Blaze's interview with Geraldo tonight. Blaze indicated that Joran had a friend that was egging him on to get some girls for the night. I hope they find this "friend". Joran may have traveled to Peru with this person.
I read about how the "date rape drug" has a hypnotic effect to where the user can pretty much be commanded to do anything.
In looking at the video, it does appear to me that Stephany is in a hypnotic state. Joran could have given Stephany the drug in the car outside the hotel where they waited for 45 minutes so the drug would start working. It takes about that long for some drugs to take effect. That may explain why she doesn't have her purse, etc. He may have been giving her commands to "just follow". I think depending on the dosage, date rape drugs makes a person submit to commands rather than having them just pass out.
