Thanks for this article however, It has been nerve racking hearing preliminary COD from mis-information from various news agencies. I think this account is accurate. MF is very factual.

I dont believe the motive had anything to do with sex. In the video they don't even touch. He doesn't even wait for her or open the door for her. I see nothing that shows me he was even interested in her sexually and from what I have read she was clothed when found.

I think his motive was robbery. He may have lost all of his money so any loss would put him in a tailspin, even $300. IMO he has long had a gambling addiction. It takes big money to get into the million dollar poker tournament in Lima. Imo Joran didn't have enough so he saw she had big winnings and he took advantage of that.

I'm not following you, BB? We know that it is Stephany Flores because they found her dead in room 309, her family reported her missing and have since buried her. Who else could it possibly be?

The room is 309, which would seem to be on the 3rd floor. There are photos of the front of the hotel with open windows but no balconys. It has an inside hallway to the door. But nothing has been mentioned that I know of about an adjoining room, except for one statement I read where an employee referred to a "back door" ~ although this had been a translation so I'm not sure of the accuracy. MOO

Hello all.. I have been following this case via internet on my cell so I have not been able to post since it is a pain to type on my cell... but I did want to clear up one thing. I read the article linked in post 457. The English translation says "back door" but it is translated incorrectly. I read about how the "date rape drug" has a hypnotic effect to where the user can pretty much be commanded to do anything.
In looking at the video, it does appear to me that Stephany is in a hypnotic state. Joran could have given Stephany the drug in the car outside the hotel where they waited for 45 minutes so the drug would start working. It takes about that long for some drugs to take effect. That may explain why she doesn't have her purse, etc. He may have been giving her commands to "just follow". I think depending on the dosage, date rape drugs makes a person submit to commands rather than having them just pass out.
Also, if I read the timer on the video right, it seemed to me that it took 15 min to get from the lobby to the room...that is a considerable amount of time. If his friend was rooming with him, then his friend could have been in the room already waiting for them, or had a room in the same hotel (joint room)?? This may have been done by two people.
