At last came the day that many Peruvians waited because they wanted to see close to the Dutchman, a man as handsome as dangerous. Everyone can not believe that this foreigner is like a vampire movie, seduces her 'Dam', sucks the blood, destroys his life and flees in search of another. After a long journey, Joran Van Der Sloot arrived the Dirincri, where it will be investigated and interrogated for six days before a lawyer for the crime of Stephany Flores Ramirez found dead last Wednesday. Receptionist. Aoad Anhely Marchena, an employee of 'Tac' discovered the body of Stephany on June 1 at 23 hours after a woman called Joran asking. "I realized it was two days and went to charge. Listen to the radio and TV to loud and I thought I slept well but I returned and found the body," noted the PNP. Meanwhile, the Uruguayan businessman Elton Garcia began the search of Joran because he feared he had been kidnapped.

Hi BB, There is more tho, and I think this is the sentence about the blood on his shirt: "Asimismo, la sangre hallada en la camisa del extranjero corresponde a la víctima".

ETA: LOL Beyond Belief, I should have known better that you were working on translating that. You're a peach!

I'm not following you, BB? We know that it is Stephany Flores because they found her dead in room 309, her family reported her missing and have since buried her. Who else could it possibly be?
We never see her face. Just throwing around defense junk. Of course they will have her on video at the casino dressed in the same clothing. :)

Joe T is such a defense lawyer! How do we know someone wasn't waiting in the room for them? Well, how did they get in without the key? We see Joran being handed the key. How did they go in and out without being seen by the camera at the front desk and in from of room 309? how did they go undetected in the room? What did this person do--hide under the bed planning to attack them both, then think--wait maybe the man will go out and leave the woman alone and then I can murder her. Pleeeeze!

From the link above:

Finally, he said "turn right and saw that there was one person on the floor, I was scared at that moment, I thought it was the citizens Netherlands and afraid I got closer and saw that he had long hair. When in doubt, and I approached I realized that it was a woman who was dead, had bleeding in the nose, wearing a dark polo red panties, the side was covered with a white garment. "

So... she was not found fully clothed. Sounds like her pants had been removed. Not sure what the white garment is... possibly a sheet or even Joran's white button-down shirt.

Doesn't sit right with me. Odd comment from the female employee who went to check the room - confusing 6'4"/200+ pound short-haired VDS (for even a second) with the body of SR on the floor. Wonder what this may about.

Evidence. A luminol test in the room occupied Van Der Sloot was found bloodstains on his victim in the bathroom and bed. Moreover, it was confirmed that the marks left on the vessels of the casino by Dutchman correspond to those found in the deceased . In addition, blood found on his shirt from abroad for the victim. Stephany thousand suns won playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday last week but neither she nor her criminal were enrolled in the tournament Pocker.
Heres the rest of it scandi, you were right.

I would imagine finding a body on the floor, and dead at that, would be a shocking event. Perhaps the employee was describing it as they remembered seeing it, room...bed unmade...clothes on floor....tennis shoes...a body....thought it was Joran, then noticed long hair (perhaps moved the white thing covering Stephany)...sees her, notes whatever it was that was red....etc.
and thats how the employee describes the scene.

probably just that split-second confusion we all have when something that is supposed to be there is not there and our brain can't make sense of whatever is there instead

which link? there was no link posted - only pics uploaded in that post ...
I had clicked on the photobucket pic and got the message that it was unsafe and thought it would be best to let others know.
Sincerely,
Savannahanna

To add a bit regarding my post above, I have been a nurse for years...its amazing how much info/ details you recall after finding a patient on the floor, or finding a patient deceased, and you have to write up an incident report afterwards...maybe it was similar for the employee after finding the body and then relating the info to authorities and/or reporters?

Not to mention the employee might have taken all of it in in a span of just a few seconds...then fled the room. Details come back to you later...

yes of course - thank you for letting everyone know

I didn't click on the pics themselves ... just looked at them ... so that explains my confusion (-;

Lol, I have two sister in laws both from Venezuela, when they get upset they jabber so fast in spanish you would never understand what they said.
Seeing a body must be a very shocking experience.

I know it's not funny, but this happens all the time in hotels (not the murder part thank god). They hand out the key, and viola, you walk into an occupied room. now the chances of said person murdering your just met "friend" is about zero chance. So for JVS I'll never buy that type of defense.

My mother was a victim - she left the room for only a short period of time, and someone came in and stole her diamond and sapphire ring. Probably a maid, but none-the-less. If someone wants to get into your room - they can.

OTOH, I won't stay at a Holiday Inn because they are now testing out using the smartphone as hotel keys!

In short, the technology sends an encrypted, unique audio code to a guest’s phone prior to check-in. When played back outside the guestroom, the signal unlocks the door, letting the guest skip the front desk — guests would also receive a text message with their room assignments — while also eliminating the need for keycards, which is green and saves money.

Do you know how many internet thieves can intercept that information? Bloody scary.

I think this case is making me weary of hotels!

Its a surprise/ shock even in a hospital setting/ medical facility where a fallen patient or deceased patient is not completely out of the realm of possibility. I am always sort of shocked for a few seconds...I can't EVEN IMAGINE finding a decomposing body in a hotel room, no way. I have found more injured and deceased people than I can remember, but I guarantee you if I ever came across a 2-3 day old decomposed body, I would NEVER forget it and would be freaked out in a big way. JMO. I don't know how LE does it!! Even more incredible is volunteers who are actually LOOKING for a deceased body, regular people with no training and experience- major kudos to those people.

I would NEVER travel alone, to ANY destination. Not safe, this world of ours, anymore. I used to be so bold and daring, hitch-hiked all up and down the east coast (only alone once) in the 70's.... DUMB DUMB DUMB. I was young and dumb. Its a miracle nothing ever happened.

Oscuro typically means dark. For exmple the color black. Or it can be used to describe a darker shade of another color. The employee is describing her dark colored shirt and red underwear. Sorry if this has already been clarified. Again I'm on my cell and still getting used to how it works so typing has been a pain to get used to.

Also, I would be glad to help in translating anything I can. Mind you, my spanish is from mexico so some words/slang may be a used a little different in Peru. As long as my kids don't n eed me and my phone has battery life, ill be able to do it. Although, it may take me a little longer using my cell. We won't have internet at home until tueday.

That's awesome of you CMo2, there was a post back aways. I will check it may have been sometime this afternoon, and we were hoping for translating :)

Nothing really new on Geraldo. I guess the Minister of Interior was dead serious about Peru's authorities not talking to the press without his consent. Nothing new has come out at all.

But if you are interested it will be on again at 1:00 AM EST.

Weather in Lima, Peru on 5/30/10:

Not sure how these weather conditions relate to the rate of decomposition. I'd also wonder if there was an air conditioner in the room. The colder it is, the slower the decomp.

Thoughts.

ps: another disturbing article. Not for the weak of heart -- and I don't think I would wish this on anyone.
