What's interesting to me is that not all the victims are female. One is an Asian male in women's clothes. What was up with that???

Remains found wrapped in burlap in W. VA earlier this month. Man had been missing since 2012.

Interesting, in that the word "burlap" is not mentioned once in that news story. If you want to acquaint yourself to the endlessly discussed topic of burlap as it relates to the Long Island Serial Killer, here's 1000 posts from this forum that relate to it:

Yeah the article was mislinked to that dog found yesterday in burlap.

And thanks. <modsnip> Nothing was endless. Just thought I found a hit. It's 7:30 am haven't even had coffee yet. Catching up.

Many times murderers utilize burlap to symbolize poverty.

<modsnip> Again, if you want to learn something about what people who have followed this particular case say about burlap as it relates to this particular case, read the posts at the link I provided. New posters don't need to completely acquaint themselves with a case before jumping in, but they should at least do some background work.

That sounds nuts, can you provide even one link that backs that up? Again, if you want to learn something about what people who have followed this particular case say about burlap as it relates to this particular case, read the posts at the link I provided. It's a pretty well known idea in criminology (these aren't the first ppl wrapped in burlap in the history of civilization.

http://www.rickross.com/reference/general/general1155.html

"The burlap, representing poverty, was pinned with crosses bearing the image of St. Lazarus, the patron saint of the poor. Scattered around the body were coins and pieces of fruit. Experts told police the baby's body was placed near water because African slaves were brought here by boat and near trees because trees symbolize life."

This is just the most recent article on my dash. I really don't want to have to do an entire search history here to prove it to you. You can research further if you'd like.

Furthermore all victims came from poverty. IMO it is important when looking at ritualistic murder To almost take it from a historical and theological perspective.

Of course this crime was not Santeria or any sort of voodoo, but the suspect/s do seem to have something they are trying to show or gain attention from in utilizing the sackcloth as a trademark of some sort (beyond its more obvious use).

I know that throughout theological history "sackcloth" or "burlap" has much significance with sorrow among the poor. Judaism and Christianity both note "Sackcloth" often as a means for expressing sorrow and humility.

I think Bc SG and the victims grew up poor/lower income the murderer is saying something with the sackcloth/burlap (beyond the obvious gains of using burlap for its physical properties) That's all. I'll go post it on the other thread now.

Guys fluke was screaming for months before her body was found where it was! Remember the other site?
I think mp chased her down, killed her, left her in the brush and chucked her belongings.

very plausible-seems a lot has been made of her possibly drowning in regards to water depth--

another angle on drowning: (definition used by World health Organization)
"Drowning is the process of experiencing respiratory impairment from submersion/immersion in liquid. This definition does not imply fatality, or even the necessity for medical treatment after removal of the cause, ***nor that any fluid necessarily enters the lungs.****

--the is a perfect scenario of someone tackled, and having their held held in the low-level water/muck until she asphyxiates, by someone pissed of for having to chase her down---

Fathom this utterly bizarre circumstance. Blue's handler, John Mallia, just happens to stop at a point along the road where Blue quickly found a body. Then, a year later, the same John Mallia just happens to find SGs pocketbook (six days later SG was found). John Mallia, in the right place at the right time to discover crucial evidence - twice! John Mallia, likely tipped to evidence location by the killer - twice!

way back,I think we started talking about this, but oddly it was considered "off limits" and in poor taste to consider him, despite the coincidences, including finding another body with the dog in the car

and she was found face down, which rectifies earlier misreports of her being found "leaning against a tree" by "fishy" guy

Yes, it's interesting that they worked that tidbit in there. What else was new? I can't think of anything.

Not exactly "new" but these things have been discussed/disputed here in the past:

It was reported that the Brannan 911 call came in at 5:21a. LE reports that officer arrived at OB by 5:40a. LE reports SG's 911 call was transferred to state police. There is proof that the doc called MG 2 days after SG was reported missing AND it was reported to LE early on. MP and JB both reportedly passed polygraphs.

And, once again we see Coletti say MP followed SG.

Oh, also... I do believe Varrone's impression of SG's call was different than the description the detective provided in his letter. (might have to review that one again myself)

Varrone dodged the question about SG being hysterical. He said the argument could be made. He was selective with the adjectives he chose to describe SG on the phone.
