Jen tweeted that Juan said he would be calling Bishop Vernon Parker way back when, prompting us to sleuth him. A FB page, in an effort to undermine Jen and get a scoop said he was actually a defense witness. She said she got it from a source but never said who or how. Jen was sitting there that day and has always maintained it was Juan who said he would be calling him but people still chose to believe the FB person. And if it was a defense witness at the time, we wouldn't have even known his name since all their names are under seal.

And if it was a defense witness and he could shed any light on that mess, he would have been called already.

It's probably not super important but it would go a long way of painting a better picture of Jodi. The letter doesn't seem to be enough to me because the defense is just going to say she was so scared of his jealous wrath that she penned a fake letter to him to put his mind at ease.

But showing the jury she was manipulative in how she presented herself to the jury will give a full picture.

And according to Nurmi none of those points will be allowed to be covered by Abe because it is "too prejudicial" to his client.

So likely all he will be able to say is how they knew each other, that they did correspond via email, and that he didn't get that one.

Also, IF JA's mother or father were to take the stand, Juan could bring up all those "goodies" that were in her super secret testimony !
 
As to Vernon Parker, IF TA had ever once, attacked a woman on the couch, in Parkers home, we would have heard about it on the stand already.

I wish Abe would be allowed to say all those things and that 40 of TA's friends could testify he was a wonderful human being, and that any of the women "outted" for flirting with Travis could testify, all laughing, that they were messing with a snooping JA.

Given JSS and other realities, I'm thankful JM gets Abe at all, even if restricted to one email. Abe is going to be the only person testifying who is linked directly to JA. What will THAT say to the jury? :)

Now pondering if JSS will at some point be convinced to call it allocution and thus prevent Juan from crossing.

This is actually really funny. Has anyone ever tried to launch an appeal based on the prosecutor being too good at his job and scrambling people's lying brains? :floorlaugh:
