Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 34

We know that Jodi used Matt McCartney's computer or Darryl's computer on June 3, 2008 to check her email. They should request those computers to check any emails or other comments written by Jodi using those computers. Matt and Darryl would mess their pants up if Maricopa County deputies gave them search warrants for their computers this week. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something on Bobby's computer written BEFORE she was arrested asking him to lie for her.

Hrm.... I usually replace my pc about every 4-5 years. I would hope they would have done this shortly after her arrest or they are likely sol at this point.

JSS's image was seriously tarnished long ago I'm afraid. I do not know how to research lengths of trials but I remember reading that the Manson trial was considered super long and it lasted 9 months I think.

Angelo Buono's trial lasted just under 2 years.

After following these JA trials from the beginning, I think I am going to throw in the towel, and just wait to hear that the jury went into deliberations. This thing has gone so far off the tracks, I just cannot follow it anymore. Hopefully, the previously stated will happen soon. I just do not see how this jury can even make an educated decision on what they are tasked with. I am lost, and I know whats up. They don't or at least we believe they don't.

Oh for Pete sake- they ARE the most childish bunch of "adults" ever.

If you were losing in a tennis match, would you want to lose 6-0 or 6-1? Imo, Nurms & Co. are looking for any little point they can to avoid being completely shutout.

Even if that one point is won on an unforced error, and not by anything they happened to do or say, you know... inside court.

JM should offer to postpone resting until the DT can produce their witnesses. He could have Taylor on for a week telling every little bit he knows about JA.

But what really sucks, IMO, is that JM could not call any of Travis' friends because they all had media interviews, or emailed Travis about how bad he was to Jodi, or emailed others regarding the defense pedo lie. As I said before, with friends like that Travis didn't need enemies and he was sleeping with the enemy. I find it really sad. Some people will get mad and defend his friends but that's my opinion. JM couldn't call ANY of them, even Taylor!! And now the Hughes tend to make money from writing a book. I would be interested to know how all his family members really feel about his "friends".

ETA: I blame the defense for all their lies but his friends were too ready to accept what they heard instead of going to the detective or prosecutor to find the truth. Again, IMO.

I think it was fine that Juan kept his portion short and sweet. Juan's main ammunition is the gruesome murder. He does not need to go off on too many tangents. He needed to combat the computer *advertiser censored* accusations and the bogus prosecutorial misconduct krap, so he is bringing in the 3 computer experts. But I don't think he needs to bring in all these extra witnesses to JA's evilness. I think his closing argument will be strong enough to hit that home.

He had one lay witness to show who Jodi was (Abe).

He had one to show who Travis was (Deanna).

That's all he needs. Any more than that is overkill. Focusing too much on Travis would make this about Travis when it isn't and it would give the defense too much ammo. I like what he did here. Short and to the point. He's done good.
