I thought that the video from the hearing would be available the evening after the hearing, but I haven't seen it. Has anyone else?

For Juan's not arguing in the hearing, look through the Tweets that came out of the hearing that was held at 3pm on Friday, October 31. I read that all of the usual reporters were not there, but there were a few. After Mr. Bodney presented the arguments for the media's motion to stay the proceedings, the judge asks for arguments from the prosecution and the defense. Juan does not argue.

I hope this isn't too OT. What do they do with lifer inmates when they get very elderly, do they keep them there or put them in some kind of nursing home?

I would think they would be given adequate care for health problems, medications, etc. but other than that, no special treatment. Since most crimes are committed in the heady days of youth, and even though with the DP the sentence is delayed for decades as a matter of course, I doubt many death row inmates are set to reach very old age, and the prison environment itself is not exactly conducive to a long, long life.

ETA: I just noticed you said lifers and not DR inmates. I guess the first part of my post would still apply.

Do Judges confer with each other regarding cases? For example would/could Judge Sherry have consulted another judge before she closed the courtroom to the media and public?
I really don't know if they do, but I think it would be nice if they had other judges to consult.

I think it would be a good idea for a judge, much like an attorney to become death qualified to have another judge helping them out. I don't know how that would work. It just might have saved some of the things that are going on in this case. They may already have such a thing.

Just my curiosity getting the best of me.

I think a couple have reported it but not sure anyone used the word "indeed." Basically, it is believed by media that it is Jodi testifying but none have said they're 100% positive (at least not that I have seen).
