No, Casey said, when she worked at Universal, they use to switch name tags for fun.

"Casey said"

I could not get past those two words in your post since I do not believe anything Casey says. Compound that with her propensity to steal and well, enuf said....

Well said! Let's see... there was her neighbors credit card from storage (he lived a street over?) which ended up where she dumped her baby's body.

I still want to know what card LE snatched up when Cindy was picking through her belongings, pocketing Amy's money and taking back her credit cards!

I'm in no way saying that Casey had an actual job but when I heard the term "work bag", I immediately thought of the work bag a stripper would have(mix cds, bathing suit, dresses, shoes, makeup) or escort(fetish items, condoms, etc).

Since noone seems to know what she did with her days and escort agencies were among the searched items on her computer...my mind tends to go there. There is the argument that she'd have money hand over fist if she did either of those things, but not if she did them half-heartedly, here and there.

I think dancing may have been "too much work" but answering a craigslist ad and hooking up might have been right up her alley. Fast money spends just as fast, especially if she did it once or twice, then decided stealing was wayyy easier, and she was better at it, so stick with what you know. Just my two cents about the term "work bag".

I agree. From the start of the case lots of people kept saying they thought she was working as an escort and I disagreed.. until I heard Cindy talking about casey's "work bag". That term is exactly the term used in that crowd for the "purse" they use for condoms, wipes, lotion, make-up, spare stockings, credit card slips, envelopes, cell phone etc.

Though I must say, I can't see her using the bag shown above for her "work bag".. very low class, ya know?

I have to disagree. Casey thinks too highly of herself. In her mind, she can get anything, and ANYONE, she wants. She wouldn't have to sell herself. Especially when she is so good at stealing..

Wow, you guys always amaze me with the things you know! I never thought about strippers or escorts carrying "work bags" much less what is in them, lol!

What would be in a work bag for an "event coordinator?" Wouldn't she only need her purse and maybe a lunch for her imaginary desk/telephone job? Maybe the work bag should have been titled "diaper bag?"

So AGK, you now have me wondering what was in the "Chris work bag." I think you may be onto something with your craigslist idea.

Why haven't we seen any of the contents of that bag entered as evidence?

What was in the bag? What "work" would KC have had to put in a "work" bag?

Thanks for this thread!

Jolynna, you need to brush up on your Anthonyesque logic, LOL! That is...

If there's a work bag, there must be work!

Thanks, guys, for clearing up the "work bag" vs. "purse" thing. I knew Casey didn't leave her everyday purse in that car. Like Cindy said snottily to a detective in some interview when he warned her not to forget her purse, "women don't leave their purses in cars and other places." Or something to that effect.

Az - I remember her making this snotty comment as well, only in my mind when she said it she was making some excuse for Casey. Maybe something like, "See, Casey couldn't possibly have been the one to leave the car there because women don't leave their purses in cars". I could be dreaming, but that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the thread on the purse/bag. Strikes me that maybe it was in the ZG case deposition or to a reporter. I recall her being very, very defensive when she said it - and snotty too (good word for it). I wish I could find that - I'll try!

ETA I have been thinking that this is the reason she makes an issue of it being a "purse", when it obviously is not a purse in the traditional sense. Because it just doesn't make sense that a woman would leave her purse in a car, therefore it was not Casey...See the Anthony logic at work here? Come to think of it, it is a Work Bag when Cindy needs to defend Casey's employment and it is a Purse when she needs a way to distance Casey from the car. A dual purpose accessory, to be sure, LOl!!

EtA - Thanks to The WorldAccording who found the exact clip. Here it is, if I have done the link properly.

Ha, yeah, that bag is definitely not as ghetto fabulous as she seems to have seen herself as being!

I think that maybe she knew somebody, or knew somebody that knew somebody(lake vag comes to mind) that was familiar with the lifestyle and she may have attempted to give the stripper lifestyle a go then figured it was too much hustling, rejection, too visible. But picking and choosing, stringing someone along via email, playing the "high priced call girl" role....who knows? Maybe Richard Gere was going to come along and discover her?

I disagree too LOL.. with the entire thing cuz of her stealing, her living at home, driving an old crappy used car- that's not how an escort lives! We debated all this stuff for months and nothing could have changed my mind until I heard the term "work bag" from Cindy's mouth.

haha Sadly I have no clue what an event coordinator would put in a work bag. I only know dysfunction, my dear ;)

I haven't posted on this case like I did in the beginning but still read & keep up. I felt compelled to post after reading this thread. There is something I remember being in the news around the time of Caylee's disappearance or the time of KC's arrest, can't remember which. but the thing is, it struck me at the time because my 'gut' said that KC was involved in escorting.

There was a BIG bust in Orlando for escort services soliciting on Craigslist around this time. Does anyone else remember this? Surely there are stories in the local news. How would I find a link to this story? Any help is appreciated.

My DBF's work buddy had a friend who was an escort. She was small time escort who drove a crappy car, was a single mom and lived with her parents. She wasn't a High Dollar escort but managed to eek out a living with what she had to work with. She had a 'pimp' or agent and was advertised on Craigslist.

Oh I wish I could find that link to the story about the arrests in Orlando! Anyway, something to think about.

Hi WM!!

There was some discussion about Craiglist and escort services on the thread about decomposition at the proximal root (oddly enough). No links but the date of the posts might help.

Casey doesn't know a lot about class ;)

KC would probably say it's not her bag just like she said it was not her dog when she was walking one of the Yorkies and it did it's business on a neighbors lawn. The truth may be that it is actually not her bag. That would be interesting. I can hear "Chris" now.....hey, that's MY bag!!!!"

Once again........Lot's of BS from mommy dearest. Who knows what all was in that "WORK BAG"?? She weeded thru everything and discarded what she wanted.

I've been going through the interviews all morning, and cannot find out what was in that bag except the Universal ID tag that other posters have mentioned... and that was in Cindy's SA depo. My what a big "work bag" to carry around an ID for a job you haven't been at in years.

Also where did you guys read that the ID was Chris'? That's new to me. TIA!

Check out the picture on page 1. It's a Universal name tag "Chris". I am not sure but I thought I heard Cindy tell either LE or the agent from the FBI on a tape about what was in the bag. All I remember now is that AH had given KC her resume and that was in the bag.

LOL! Goes to show you how observant I am. Geez...
I didn't notice the giant tag with the name CHRIS on it.
(shakes head and leaves thread)

With all the paper towels that she bought at Target she could have been a topless cleaning girl.

Thank you for the link Harmony. Raegan, you are funny! I'll post a link to the story if I locate it.
