REVISIT Possible Reasons Purse/Work Bag in the Car

Didn't Cindy say that she got her laptop out of the car as well? I'm sure I read this somewhere because I seem to remember thinking "Why would she leave her laptop in the car". I don't leave mine anywhere....it cost too much.

Like I posted in another thread:

I seem to think she was just going to disappear, but maybe she ended up really liking Tony and couldn't leave? I mean, she stole from her friend Amy, knowing that she would find out when she got back from Puerto Rico. Maybe her plan was to disappear, steal someone's identity, and go from there. This is why she left her car in the parking lot with her purse and other belongings. She wanted people to think some kind of foul play occurred. This is also why she didn't consider that eventually people would start wondering where Caylee was- She was supposed to leave town before people noticed. She just didn't get around to it.

I too have always thought she was going to disappear also hence the reason her purse was left in her auto. Doesn't that scare a mod and dad worse than any thing. But as far as the car being out of gas,Leonard Padilla DID verify to Nancy Grace that it WAS out of gas. Also in George Anthony's initial report to the police he stated he had to go get gas after reclaiming the car. Also the tow people verified that it was out of gas and George had to fill it up.

1. Someone took her car without her knowledge
2. make it look like someone stole your car
3. hope someone steals your identity
4. just bought a new purse at target to match with your new checkbook you stole from your friend.

I like #4

ROFLMAO:woohoo:

Thank God.. I found what I was referring to right away. No sleeping on train tracks for me!
ETA: This is from cindy's SA deposition.

PG 305 CA: I took the -- I think there was her work bag, her purse was on the front seat, that -- and I found a steak knife in the front seat of the car and Casey's lanyard was on the front passenger's side of the car. I took that out and set it on -- we have a freezer in the garage. I set that there.

PG 309 CA: On the front seat I found her work bag. And then kind of like in the crevice of the seat I found a -- one of my flatware knives.

PG 311 CA: I believe it was just Casey's purse. There was items in her purse, but it was her purse and then the steak knife in the front seat, I'm pretty sure.
LDB: All right. You've used two different terms now to describe that, I'm sure, inadvertently. One is a work bag and one is a purse.
CA: Well, it's a purse, but she used that specifically as her work purse.
LDB: All right. So it's not like a small purse?
CA: It's between your purse and my purse.
LDB: Okay.
CA: This I would carry as a work bag [indicating].
LDB: Okay. What did you do with that item --
CA: Again --
LDB: --at that time?
CA: At that time I took it off the front seat and put it on the ice chest in the garage

FWIW...IMHO, this is the 'work bag' Cindy took out of the car that she also called a 'purse', but, used chiefly as a "work bag".

HTH.

Thanks Bond......James Bond.

Since this thread is regarding the work bag/purse, I have additional quotes to post from GA and CA's (FBI?) interviews. I will post 'em when I get home later.

What was in the bag? What "work" would KC have had to put in a "work" bag?

Thanks for this thread!

I think CA said there were resumes for AH in the bag. Not sure what else.

Someone else's resume. Yup, sounds about right......:waitasec:

Or - maybe KC was going to white out AH's name and add hers?:waitasec:

Cindy spin all the way, she knew KC didn't have a job, no money, Not a pot to pee in

I'm in no way saying that Casey had an actual job but when I heard the term "work bag", I immediately thought of the work bag a stripper would have(mix cds, bathing suit, dresses, shoes, makeup) or escort(fetish items, condoms, etc).

Since noone seems to know what she did with her days and escort agencies were among the searched items on her computer...my mind tends to go there. There is the argument that she'd have money hand over fist if she did either of those things, but not if she did them half-heartedly, here and there.

I think dancing may have been "too much work" but answering a craigslist ad and hooking up might have been right up her alley. Fast money spends just as fast, especially if she did it once or twice, then decided stealing was wayyy easier, and she was better at it, so stick with what you know. Just my two cents about the term "work bag".

Thanks, guys, for clearing up the "work bag" vs. "purse" thing. I knew Casey didn't leave her everyday purse in that car. Like Cindy said snottily to a detective in some interview when he warned her not to forget her purse, "women don't leave their purses in cars and other places." Or something to that effect.

Ugh, I hated this part of her interview because it seemed like a "I got the last word" exchange on CA's part. She says that women absolutely never leave their purses behind.
But, IIRC, there was another conversation where CA talks about KC keeping a spare key in her pocket, in case she locked her keys or her purse (or her child) in her car. Will have to find that one...

Clearly the bag did not even belong to Casey, since the name tag says 'Chris'. Casey is such a :loser: Cindy perpetuating her blatant lies is an affront to Caylee's memory.

Once again........Lot's of BS from mommy dearest. Who knows what all was in that "WORK BAG"?? She weeded thru everything and discarded what she wanted.

No, Casey said, when she worked at Universal, they use to switch name tags for fun.
