Pastor says he was with RC right after GR interviewed him, and says that RC is most upset about the allegation that he hit Haleigh.

They just re-played one of the first interviews with RC in which he says, "he's not out for revenge", and the panel is wondering about that statement.........why did he mention revenge.

Strange choice of words, but maybe just an unfortunate choice!

I'm just praying that after talking to them, they have something new to go on!!!!! We need to move forward! :)

I wish we could see some progress. I suspect that Geraldo deal brought on talking to Ronald and Chad.

Didn't I see Crystal going in with LE also? TIA

I couldn't imagine having my daughter missing and then my ex coming and making accusations at me - people on the media calling me a bad parent, whenever I'm doing the absolute best I can.
I believe that Ron probably stopped doing at least the hard drugs. He goes to work every day. The kids brush their teeth (as per a picture I saw) and apparently has a set bedtime (I know A LOT of parents who barely make their kids brush their teeth, let alone having a set bedtime so to me, this is very noteworthy). Haleigh has nice clothes - we've seen pictures. Apparently they go to church some. (He made a choice to leave his children with a 17year old - a bad choice? Who knows but 17 is definitely old enough to baby sit a couple of kids at bedtime. 17 year olds definitely know the difference between right and wrong. Parent's aren't perfect, nobody is).
I just hope the family can keep rising above all the scrutiny and keep reminding people that Haleigh is the priority.
JMO :D

I don't think her age is the primary problem most of us have with entrusting the children to Misty. It certainly isn't for me.

(Not to say I would trust the BioMom either. Just sayin', I see no one here who I would absolve of serious responsibility. I see negligence to put the best interests of those sweet babies first all around. Heartbreaking.)

Me too...and to keep this story in the news until Haleigh is found! I really hope LE knows something...and I pray that little girl is safe and will be home soon.

What I don't understand is WHY Chad and the other maternal side wouldn't have gone to LE with that instead of Geraldo...are they that afraid of the police? or what? I just don't understand that at all.

Seriously, if my child is missing and the father tells me that they are 75% sure that they know who has her...then I'd be asking all kinds of questions while dialing the phone number to the investigator's desk!

boggles my mind....

He wasn't hunting at night. He used the wrong gun to hunt during muzzle loader season.

I'll have to hunt it down, thought for certain i read 2 hunting related charges, one the gun during muzzleloader season - the other was hunting at night.

Maybe the show has brought a little progress in the long run,at least there's some more news today. It needs to stay in the news till she's found.Chad was probably asked exactly what was said. These poor LE guys have to keep watching the news and hauling them in for questioning, like a revolving door.

It was not Chad, but Crystal's brother who heard the statement about being 75% sure that Misty's cousin took Haleigh. Misty's cousin has been cleared.

Beats me why Crystal did not go to LE being as only LE is in a position to help find Haleigh.

Oh, and on NG, Crystal's Mom cleared it up about it not being Chad that Ronald said that to. She said Ronald told it to Marcus, Crystal's brother. She further stated that Ronald had also made that same comment to a woman staying with them (Sheffield's) at their tent.

**Crystal said she has now taken a polygraph. She thinks she passed it. No confirmation of that from LE, tho.

Clear as mud???

Ron reminds me of my brother who also had children with 3 women (possibly he had more kids with more women that I don't even know about). The oldest boy stayed with his mother who was a good mother. The next two children were passed back and forth between him and his ex-wife on a constant basis. The last one he abandoned and left with another ex-wife to run off with yet another woman.

While he had custody of the middle two kids (a girl age 2 and an infant boy) he was (as usual) constantly drunk and on drugs. Unlike Ron he did not womanize at all--no girlfriends live in or otherwise so I did my best to help him out and provide a mother figure for the two babies. You'd think he'd be grateful but he wasn't. He was petty and critical and jealous of anything I did if it resulted in the kids showing affection towards me. It was almost as though he viewed their loving me as some sort of rejection of him.

Needless to say a person with a substance abuse problem is often extremely verbally abusive as was my brother. Not only vulgar language but constant physical threats against anyone including the two babies as they grew older and did things that annoyed him. When the boy Jack was 3 he came to my house with a bruise fading just under his eye, I naively thought he'd just bumped into something. My mother phoned me and told me to ask Jack how he got the shiner. Both he and his sister at the same time said "Daddy hit me (him) in the face with a metal serving spoon."

I have no idea if my brother was sober or high or if he was aiming for Jack's behind and he boy moved the wrong way...what he'd done appalled me. My mother and I reported him to CPS who said they investigated but we were never contacted and nothing changed except my brother cut me and my mother completely out of the two babies' lives forever.

The bottom line point I wish to make is that I have absolutely NO doubt my brother loved his kids. He said he did often and I could see he sincerely meant and felt that he did BUT his love was not normal. It was toxic, dangerous, possibly lethal. I thank God neither of those kids died in his care but I don't know how else they may have suffered at his hands (and at his cruel and nasty mouth) after he cut me out of their lives.

So when Ron says he loves his kids I believe this BUT at the same time I believe his idea of love is not normal or what normal people view as love and loving behavior and I would never defend him in anything he's done based solely upon his declarations of love for his kids.

I hope your niece and nephew are ok. Some day they may come, on their own, back to your mom and yourself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that happens and that is a happy reunion. Children are very resilant and the love you and your mom showed them has probably left a lasting impression. :blowkiss:

Off Topic: Actually, in some places like Nashville, TN...it is illegal to spit on the sidewalks. LOL

Tulsa, OK has a law against alligators being allowed downtown. Hahahaha~ Guess I won't be walking my Gator today.

On Topic: I guess my point is a hunting infraction is a dime a dozen in areas where hunting is a way of life. I know tons of hunters who at one time or another have been caught doing something they shouldn't over the years (usually when they were young and dumb).

And that must make it ok.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this , but something in RC's interview w/ GR really struck me. It is the very end of the interview(don't know how to link) but GR asks him if he still believes that Haleigh was still alive. His response was "I will always believe she is alive until they find her". I found that response strange. Maybe I am reading into this, but if my child was missing I don't think this would be my response. "Until they find" makes it sound like he may know already that she is not alive.

Mom and step-dad rushed to his defense the other night with GR. A pattern ?

I think so. I noticed on JVM they were showing clips of the players going into the police station...there went Crystal walking in by herself. Then it shows Ron and Mom was with him.......just struck me as odd.

And that must make it ok.

I don't think that is what SeriouslySearching was trying to say.

Where I grew up it happened all the time. My dad didn't like it but it was a "way of life" for some. Many of them did it for food on their table. Deer hunting season is only like 6 weeks long and each hunter can only get 1 deer. Many of these people take the "extra" deer at night, it's quick, it's easy however it is illegal. Many times the Game Wardens turned the other way. I myself have no problem with it and I have NEVER eaten deer meat yuk!

I guess it's just about how and where you grew up as to how you would look at this as a crime or as survival. IMO

Thank You.....:blowkiss:

Denada Dah'ling!

I don't see any boats docked there. Do we know if the dog went right to the dock?

ONE THING i DO KNOW IS THAT DOGS NEVER LIE. With qualifications that is. All they want is their reward when finished. I would say if the dog actually hit at a spot by or on that dock, that would have to be the exit point to what was done with her next. But wasn't she also tracked to the RR tracks where the trail stopped?

Maybe someone knows more about the dock. Do we have a thread on this?

I can't imagine they wouldn't have dragged the river yet if this is the case, unless they were hoping she would be found so they wouldn't have to go thru the expense of a water dragging search there.

sorry if this is a bit O/T :eek:

Probably a more appropriate answer would have been "unless LE tells me otherwise, I will always believe she is alive".

Especially with the Caylee case just down the road.

This lot of interesting players may need a PR specialist soon - if only to difuse some of the rumours and bring some of the truth to the front.

Best,

Melanie
