Well, the preacher mentions he moved into the rental in August so it was after that. She went missing August 31. It doesn't appear he had a boat based on the vehicle reporting requirements through SC Sex crime Registry.

Thanks, but if he killed a man for his boat he wouldn't be dumb enough to register the stolen boat, would he? Just wondering if any google earth views show a boat on his any of his properties or he ever mentioned a boat on fb. As I said, the only connection is geographical (Lake Russell/Calhoun Falls is 1.5 hours drive) and the suspicious death of Mitchell Gibson. Anyone could have killed Mitchell and taken his boat. I just wondered because the article says he mentions the lake twice and Todd seems to like to throw out clues about his victims as a way of bragging.

It sounds like this neighbor was friends with Kohlhepp, but never suspected him of anything.

So, people keep coming to the thread with the same question over and over of why it took so long to get the information about the cell pings back. I tried to answer it yesterday based on secondary experience being previously married to a LEO and I've been wracking my brain and Google trying to think of a way to explain it from my 911 dispatching experience in the county that KB and CDC went missing from. I've been out of then profession for about 8 years now, so things have probably changes some however there were a couple instances when I was working where we had to request pings from cell companies because someone called in to advise they'd been in an accident and had gone off the road and we couldn't find them. Our call location system would triangulate cell calls based off the three nearest cell towers. However, it wasn't perfect and sometimes calls would jump towers and you would get a call from another county or even state. When you request info from a cell company, they are in the business of protecting their customer's legal rights from LE in these situations, so we had to prove the customer was in imminent danger. Of course we had a 911 call, but we still had to get an warrant signed by a judge, if I am not mistaken and it sometimes still took a couple hours turn around time before we got the location back from the cell company. Most of the times one of us stayed on the phone with the victim until we got help there, the voice in the darkness, praying their phone didn't die or lose signal.

With this case I imagine they had a hard time proving their was imminent danger, since it was probably the cell ping to a RSO's property that was the clear indicator that they were indeed in danger. I'm curious to find out how they finally convinced the cell company to.give up the info. As I was trying to find a good link for you guys last night showing what different cell companies require as proof and what they will release to whom I noted that a lot require permission from the account holder and or a court order. Unfortunately, I was having computer issues and gave up and went to bed. I am out running errands so when I get back home, I will try to find it again.

If the police already had the ping location weeks ago, that would seem to indicate to me that the hold up was not the cell phone carrier. The location was determined by a ping and not a 911 call, therefore that info came from the company and was given to LE. I really don't see any legal roadblocks as to why they sat on this so long. If I'm a judge and LE comes to me with a missing person case, location of the missing person's cell phone ping, information on the property and the RSO that owns it, and asks for a warrant, I can't see what more I would need from them before signing one. It's been a long time since I was in a college civics class, but I do believe exigency may have even allowed LE to enter without a warrant. Like you said in your post though, maybe LE or the Judge knew that ping location may not be exact. But to argue that, we are not talking about searching a house in a city where the margin of error on the ping could put you in some wrong home, we talking about rural country property that is 90+ acres, so the margin of error shouldn't really affect anybody else.

I'm not saying anybody did anything wrong yet, since I don't have all the info. I've read this site long enough to know that sometimes info is later released that logically explains some of these type of questions. But sometimes that is what happens, and mistakes or oversights are made. For KB's sake, I hope it wasn't a mistake that led her to be held weeks longer.

It was the posting about bush hogging all day and he was tired and sore. Said he should probably just invest in concrete and green paint (to make it look like grass but don't have to mow?) Think it was just a stupid joke.

I noticed this in many of his other quotes on FB and Amazon, also in a conversation with the man who rented one of his homes. He refers to a girlfriend, sometimes a gf with a child. On Amazon it shows he purchased children's toys allegedly for a girlfriend's child. Yet no one mentions meeting anyone he dated. Very creepy.

2 things i'm not sure if everyone knows or is remembering.

TK liked a facebook photo KB posted of herself in August 2015. not sure when he liked the photo but it looked like pretty soon after she posted it. it was the photo of her in a bar bathroom.

also, on 8/21/16, she posted in a forum on the other site that she lives in anderson but works/spends a lot of time in greenville, and she wanted to get to know friends there. we know she was working for HIM in greenville--didn't they meet up on 8/31 there? so maybe she started the week before, or the work just got more frequent, or she could have been there for other types of work as well...
i'm just observing that she was in greenville a lot, and possibly had just started frequenting it, and knew she would be there in the future.

this woman with initials AB was calling him sweetie and honey up until summer '16 I think? and i actually doubt it was a fake account of his because the comments were deleted after his arrest. i couldn't find out who she was online yet.

It looks as though there is something in the thick of trees in the 2014 picture. In the 2015 picture those trees have been thinned significantly.

that is so weird, and they're a completely different color from anything else in the screenshot. totally a wild guess but maybe they are bushes because the land had already been cleared of trees? they would be a different kind of plant and in the shadows more, hence the darker tint...

I'd like to know what exactly she was asked to do in each home and whether this was the 'going rate' for this type of work. I wonder if he kidnapped her simply because she was an easy target (working for him and trusting enough because of this to meet with him alone) or he targeted her specifically. If he targeted her maybe the $500 per house was supposed to be too good for her to turn down and this was his plan all along.

I also have to wonder whether he expected Charlie to visit with KB that day. Did he want to kill Charlie so that the one person who most likely knew KB went to meet him could not alert the police when she went missing? Or was it a surprise Charlie turned up.

It is such a horrifying thing to happen to anyone. I feel physically sick looking at where KB was kept (from the pictures posted here). Nothing could make the world feel safe again, I hope she has all the support there is to help her rebuild her life.
