The way this is going, seems to indicate that they’ve got this all figured out.

Im anticipating an announcement of an arrest.

USC confirms missing student, Samantha Josephson, has died

The 21-year-old's death marks the second USC student death in just one week. Evan Jeffery Gaines, 22, died Tuesday after suffering a gunshot wound.

No other details about the case were available early Saturday afternoon. However, Columbia police tweeted out they would be holding a press conference on the investigation sometime later on Saturday.

ETA: reports of a third --suspected suicide, also. Frightening times at USC. Be safe...

In the video, it is clear that there is a female in the passenger seat of the car.

Found the video, it looks like there is someone in the front passenger seat. Not enough for me to say male or female.

And there are about 30 people on the sidewalk just 10 feet from Samantha.

I don't get it - what were these two in the car doing?

If it is the same video I viewed, you can see a bright light briefly show what very much appears to be a female in the passenger seat flip her hair back. It was not originally noticed by me, but was pointed out on a fb post.

It's so odd. There had to be some pre-planning, the interior light turned off, pulling into the handicapped parking spot and she just jumps in the car. I agree with the earlier post that she was probably watching the car on the app and it must have been very close. We were in Columbia for Elton John's concert about two weeks ago and used Uber, of course as a couple and not a single girl. Makes you really think about using them if you're alone and have been drinking. Scary.

This is so chilling. As said above, the interior light does not go on when the door is opened and Samantha enters the car. It looks like she pulls the door open

There is someone in the front passenger seat Amateurs trying to analyze the video say there is someone in the back seat, too.

The Alcorn FB feed mentions something about finding her body but I'll wait for the LE News Conference.

This is just so creepy to think this could happen right in front of 30 other people

So sad to read of this. I'm rather shocked at the video though. It just strikes me as odd. Why were they pulling into a handicap parking spot? She showed no hesitation at all in getting in. Did it match the car that was supposed to show up? They showed no hesitation at all either that I could see. I mean a random person opens the car door and hops in and you just...go with it and drive off? They hadn't even pulled all the way in the parking spot and she was in the car. The passenger in the front seat is just staring forward when you see them in the flash of light. I'd think they'd be turning around to get a better look at who just climbed in the car. I can not imagine being that cool and calm at a total stranger unexpectedly hopping in the car.

I'm sure someone smarter than me has some better insights. But I just did not expect to see what I saw. HOW could someone have planned that scenario "just so" though?! Knowingly pulling in a handicapped spot and expected to just calmly drive off with the first person who hops in? If you drive up to a crowded event like that can you just expect someone in the crowd to think you are their uber?
