Leave her To Heaven is on TCM right now. Great movie with Gene Tierney and Cornel Wilde.

Yes! We were just watching it, though we've seen it before. I love that movie! :happydance:

Some of the last words in that article are  and some are

CARL PANZRAM, 39

“HURRY UP, YOU HOOSIER *advertiser censored*, I COULD KILL TEN MEN WHILE YOU’RE FOOLING AROUND!”

PETER KURTEN A.K.A. THE VAMPIRE OF DUSSELDORF, 48

“TELL ME, AFTER MY HEAD HAS BEEN CHOPPED OFF, WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO HEAR, AT LEAST FOR A MOMENT, THE SOUND OF MY OWN BLOOD GUSHING FROM THE STUMP OF MY NECK? THAT WOULD BE A PLEASURE TO END ALL PLEASURES.”

JAMES D. FRENCH, 30

“HEY FELLAS! HOW ABOUT THIS FOR A HEADLINE FOR TOMORROW’S PAPER? ‘FRENCH FRIES’!”

And this one just makes me so sad (she was really sick towards the end, IMO):

AILEEN WUORNOS, 46

“I’D JUST LIKE TO SAY I’M SAILING WITH THE ROCK, AND I’LL BE BACK LIKE INDEPENDENCE DAY, WITH JESUS JUNE 6. LIKE THE MOVIE, BIG MOTHER SHIP AND ALL, I’LL BE BACK.”

Those first three, scary as hell. :scared:

But Aileen Wuornos, I know, it makes me so sad too. :(

She is absolutely ADORABLE! I, too, hope she's going to be okay. :)

But I'm a bit concerned that SeaWorld was called in (why not an animal welfare nonprofit?). SeaWorld has developed such a bad reputation and has been under withering scrutiny recently... :(

That thought crossed my mind too, but I don't know who is qualified to deal with animals such as this. Maybe that's why? I hope they sincerely help that little baby, and not just for exploitation.

So- I have looked at all possible interpretations -- and here is my assessments:

Eliciting all the subject's perceptions concerning the inkblots, sourcing the AICPA Procedure Study. The perception of each audit area was assessed on a nine-point Likert scale. Two scale orders were used, ranging from zero to eight (or eight to zero), with a midpoint of four. Unpaired t-tests comparing these two groups over the 11 individual process variables (3 for planning, 2 for risks, 3 for controls, 1 for testing and 2 for evidence) suggested that a potential nonresponse bias did not exist. Similar to the potential nonresponse bias, the potential order effect of the Likert scales was also analyzed. Unpaired t-tests comparing the two orders (i.e., zero to eight and eight to zero) over the 12 individual process variables suggested that an order effect did not exist.

The overall pattern of experience follows a well-defined path from less experience to greater experience as a subject attains a moderate to high level of sophistication of EC experience. Subjects with the greatest amount of experience tend to have that experience concentrated in assessing the risks and controls in EC systems
Before comparing the levels of EC system experience, consolidation of the data was performed. First, subject responses for the four levels of sophistication of EC system experience were reduced to three levels by combining the moderate and high levels of EC system experience. This reduction of levels was necessary due to the limited number of subjects responding to the high level of EC system experience. Second, a factor analysis was performed on the questions within each audit area to: (1) reduce the number of variables to a manageable number within each area (i.e., four factors or less) and (2) extract variables which represent meaningful concepts to the research. Using the data for all subjects, 15 factors were extracted from the answers to the inkblot.

Based on the factor analysis, a factor variable was created by averaging the responses across the questions within that factor. These factor variables served as dependent variables in an analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine if significant differences existed among the three levels of sophistication of EC experience. Thus, sophistication level of EC system experience served as the independent variable in the analysis.

These factor variables served as dependent variables in an analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine if significant differences existed among the three levels of sophistication of EC system experience. Based on the above analysis, six of the variables were significant at the 0.10 level (namely, Planning 1, Risk 1, Risk 3, Control 2, Testing 1 and Evidence 1). Post-hoc, pair-wise comparisons were performed to determine which of the answers were significantly different from one another.............

I have to say it looks like the Fallopian tube area of a female. Is my mind in the gutter? LOL

Nope, that was my first thought also. Most say it looks like a wolf or they turn it upside down and see a different image.

Howdy y'all. I took a break. Too many Lonzi Barton, Chance Walsh, Ember Grahams, Bella Bond. Way too many babies. I've been coloring up a storm in my inky books. I bought some Gel pens to try, and my Farber Castells have arrived. I am going to try using tiny touch of Vaseline with the colored pencils and see how that looks. How does your better half like her coloring books? Have you planed out your garden yet? IIRC you were going to try to grow something you'd never done before this year?

cj, I am so sorry that you have to face this struggle again. It's not a place a mother ever want to be. My prayers are with you and your's.

I am so sorry , I haven't read through all the post, so forgive me if I miss anyone.

Neesaki, Niner,Spell, Dasiymae, YesorNo one of our sources for trivia, I've missed you all.

Zuri, how are you doing? How has to reseach for Knox doing?

I too am eagerly waiting my Juan Martinez book with pages. What would I do without pages?

I got that 'dreaded phone call in the middle of the night". Paul called me from the hospital and told me Ryan is trying breathe on his own!! Praise God! We are not over the hurdle yet, but this is a step in the right direction...

An Army of Juan

"Maricopa County prosecutor Juan Martinez seized the international spotlight during the Jodi Arias trial. Is he destined for greater things, or will his controversial methods prove his undoing?...

But little else has changed. He remains the most reviled – and revered – person at the Maricopa County courthouse....

Martinez’s backstory is admirable, even inspiring. Born in Mexico, he is the second-youngest of seven siblings and immigrated to the States as a youngster not knowing any English. (Martinez, who can be as soft-spoken out of court as he is combative inside of it, declined to speak with PHOENIX magazine for this story.)

Martinez and his family settled in California, where he learned the language, adapted to the new culture and became the first of his family to attend college, much less graduate.

He ran cross-country in high school and was a fine student, determined to make something of himself in his adopted country. After completing his undergraduate work, Martinez was accepted at Arizona State University’s law school, and graduated in 1984.

Like many career prosecutors, Martinez worked as a criminal-defense attorney for a short spell after law school. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office hired him in 1988, and he soon proved himself as a workhorse in the trenches of the local justice system.

Over time, Martinez honed the combative courtroom style that would prove so effective with juries – and maddening to his opponents. He habitually interrupts contrary witnesses and opposing counsel, throwing off their rhythm and shifting the discussion where he wishes – and he usually gets away with it....

Some of the Juanettes... :juanettes:...claim to have taken matters into their own hands, literally. At least one woman, a trial watcher who became a regular “commentator” on national shows, bragged to other groupies and to at least one reporter about having bedded Martinez. Untold others in the blogosphere fantasized in writing about doing just that. (For the record, Martinez has a longtime partner with whom he co-owns a home.)...

How much longer Martinez remains at the MCAO remains to be seen. More than one source in and out of the agency says he is angling for a national media forum akin to Nancy Grace’s, a kindred “they’re-all-guilty” sort with a knack for overstatement. He’s also said to be doing a book about Arias with a ghostwriter..."

Is this writer, Paul Rubin, another Kiefer? I don't like the tone of this article too much. :stormingmad:

Maria, the “Mitigation Specialist”

"...The Headline Test
A simple way to think about the complex ethical issues is to apply the “headline test”. In other words, to consider how a person would feel about the conduct if it were accurately described on the front page of the newspaper. If the story would result in embarrassment, the conduct should be reconsidered.

~ ~ ~

Maria, you fail miserably!....

Maria was willing to smuggle contraband at the expense of other clients. She appeared in a video falsely identifying a convicted murderer as a victim of domestic violence knowing FULL WELL that it would cause pain for the victims family. She continues to call people names and insult their intelligence on a social network. One is left to wonder to what extreme would this woman go? HOW she is still working for the County is a mystery. Her behavior is unbecoming to a public servant, to say the least."

Neesaki- said "thought a bear too", but then thought "two creepy heads at the top, kind of in profile, they look like evil aliens", but then changed her mind again and said "But that doesn't take into consideration the rest of it, so I'm sticking with a bear."

Dmacky- said "I think the ink block looks like a cows face with a hat on."

Niner said- "looks like two people with their mouths open and an xray in the middle..."

Our new poster, siverkitty, said- "looks like Magical Mystery Tour-era cartoon poster of George Harrison cuddling two John Lennon figures." :welcome4:

Spellbound said, very adamantly I must say, that "there is no cow with a hat. So there!" and "And x-ray, huh? Interesting."

Hatfield said- "looks like the Fillopian tube area of a female."

franquerolane said- "angry goat"

GigiG agreed with Hatfield.

And the person who came in late:

BTW- where is my money? 5 cents from everyone now. Put the $ in the cup by the SB door and I'll collect it in the AM. Thank-you. (another BTW- Spelly you owe me 10 cents for being stubborn about your answer. You too Neesaki for changing your mind).

Let me know if y'all want another inkblot and I'll analyze your answers again. :winkkiss: (I love y'all :heartbeat: )

Am I just dense? What does this mean?

 I was thinking the same thing! LOL! That reminds me of a quote my girlfriend & I in high school came up with:

"It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I have so many complicated problems in my personality that I find it difficult to achieve a decision at this time."
