Sting Operation?!

Can anyone tell me just what "they would smoke out?" Casey was in jail, she wasn't going to show up at the crime site. Were they going to put a detective behind each tree in the woods? Were they going to have some LE sitting guard all day. If the person who committed this crime was not Casey, wouldn't the person be delighted to hear that it was impossible to find her body? If anyone came to snoop around they would ruin the crime scene (the reason I am sure they are upset about the tape) and give more ammunition to the defense? Aside from leaving a child out there in some Clousou type of sting and cannot think of a reason LE or the FBI would do such a thing.

Do you know anything about the fence which was supposedly put up after the TES search and now gone?

There is a poll here which was taken where people did say they thought Casey was innocent and did not do this. I believe there were 9 votes in that column.

In order to be on the side of the defense, wouldn't you have to believe that she is innocent? I see many posts defending her here and trying to lay the blame on someone else.

O my!!!! Never saw the poll .... I wouldn't go that far as to proclaim innocence. No, just because you acknowledge the right of the defense to exist and do their job does not say "I" am for the defense at all. I just agree that none of us should be tanked into prison before a vigorous examination of the situation is examined in front of a jury. When I strongly assume someone is guilty - I'm always afraid defense will get that person off. It has happened and I think people hate/fear all defense teams for that reason. I'm not afraid of the defense anymore than I am a prosecution that can indict a ham sandwich.

Well sai, LeLe! I think so many people on here are really emotionally invested in seeking justice for Caylee that sometimes that emotion spills over into the posts. Everyone has an opinion about everything they have learned, and I personally enjoy reading everyone's take on what we know and how they are processing it. I don't expect everyone to agree at all times. But, one thing I think we can all agree on is TM. He has the kindest eyes, and since they say that the eyes are the window into the soul, he surely has the kindest soul as well. Would he walk away without giving every effort to find this child? NEVER! But, if he were told to by LE, would he have a choice? I don't think so. And, I know he would cooperate with LE if he thought that it was what needed to be done to find that child. They may all have had strong suspicions that her body was where it was all along, but couldn't get in there because of the water. I know that some people have gone back and forth about whether that area was flooded or not, but as for me, I believe TM. :blowkiss:

I agree ......I think to question the caliber of this man is just uncalled for. Almost out of line.

I went to the Nov 15 on the media link thread and found LP at the little econ, and CA blasting him, saying, "He has crossed the line!" I wonder if it wasn't a trick to get KC to arrogantly say, "She isn't in the econ you fool, and I can prove it." I don't know if that was LP's plan, but it could be that is what happened. She is pretty arrogant to think LE is "stupid," as YM said, "Do you think we're stupid?" And LP does have experience dealing with perps.

Though I have doubts b/c I think Kronk was sent to that sight in August. jmo

ETA; TM is and honest and upright man, and a victim family member with a ton of experience in recovery. I think he saw the odds of her being found and truly thought she wouldn't. If KC hadn't told one or more, she may not have been, but a perp has got to brag after all. jmo

I got the feeling that TM had constraints placed upon him. He wasseled to the point it didn't make sense against his usual reputation. He displayed hopeful leadership confidence one week, then abruptly turned about face. There seemed to be as many hopeful "find places" that TM wasn't the force behind (out by the bridge along with the woman with hat and shovel and LP's dive search) competing for attention along with the supposed live sightings. Part of this is the fault of the media because no one can move without them there breathing down their necks.

I stand firm in my thoughts of Tim and TES. I have never met the man, never searched for him, however, I feel if he would have found even one 1 inch bone that belonged to Caylee, he would not have stopped until all that could be found was found. To Tim, this isn't about prosecution, this is about closure.
Not for one second will I believe that he was involved in any kind of sting. And to be honest with you, if he were, I don't know if I could hold him to the same regard..and that is a hard thing for me to say.
I believe that if anything was found, he would have parked that motor home there and waited for the waters to recede or found another method of finding the rest of her. He would not have allowed that area to be open to the general public just to wait to see if LE could implicate anyone else.
JMHO

I agree - there is no way that LE, TM or any search team would have kept this quiet. Finding Caylee was what it was all about - period. Not some sting to find out who did it. This kind of thinking that questions the only good guys in this bunch has got me scratching my head - let's get real here.

If LE had suspicions about the area that Caylee was found in they would have done a "Grid Search" to clear the area "Inch by Inch".

If the area was already "cleared" then LE would have no reason to "Stake-Out" the area.

Just a random Thought - If Krunk is a Meter Reader then he would only read a particular Meter once a Month or maybe even Every other Month.

That means he would only be in a "Certain Area" once a month or maybe every other Month.

I think he noticed the Bag back in AUGUST 11TH -13TH for the first time because he was in that area reading Meters - He tried to report it & nothing was found so he went about his business.

When he was back in that Area again in September - October maybe the area was flooded.

It wasn't until December 11th when Krunk was back in that area Reading Meters that he decided to check the area again - He's only working in that particular area once a month & the water level was down.

He found the bag because he knew the exact spot that it was in because he had seen it before.

As far as Hoover & Casey - I think one or both of them were told the location of the Body. Somebody wanted the Body moved & disposed of because they knew that the body would eventually be found.

Who didn't want the Body found?

Casey - Cindy - George - Lee - Jose

I'd bet that it's at least two of the above...!

That I can see. I would be surprised if they didnt have all of them, anyone associated with them, anyone who worked for them ( free or not ) under surveillance. The part I doubt is anyone in LE or TES leaving her body out there.

I agree

Here is what I know everyone on this board agrees on.

1. we have fallen in love with Caylee
2. we wanted her found
3. we want her laid to rest
4. there are a lot of strong emontions attached to this case
5. we want justice for Caylee
6. we appreciate the efforts of LE, Tes and anyone who searched or donated, prayed, cheered on those searchers.

I really really doubt that happened, not with Tim being involved anyways. The reason I say that is when Tim & crew left Orlando the last time, they came straight to NC, about 20 minutes from my home. I searched with all of them, Tim included for a woman in Lawndale, NC. Heart break & disappointment was written all over his face & the face of all those who came who also were part of the Caylee search. There is NO WAY what we were seeing while with Tim was not real. He was personally crushed at not finding Caylee.

As you may recall, Tim was admitted to the hospital in Fl & released just a day or two before she was found. Caylee was found on Tim's birthday. It was like she was calling to be found & I thought it was amazing she was found on his birthday. It was if this little angel knew the love, hard work, dedication, heart ache & the personal tow this took on him. For TES, it doesn't matter who finds her, just that she is found.

I never heard that either, wow, found on his B-day, amazing. I do believe in angels:)

Gee...Manny...they do have cameras n such for surveillance work where people don't lurk behind trees or climb up into trees to stake out areas. This isn't some lame PI operation...it is the FBI. Maybe they were getting very tired of being lied to by Casey, the defense team, and the A fam camp so decided to put an end to it to find Caylee.

This tape, imo, does NOT benefit the defense at all. Of course, they will spin it as such...but I don't see it.

Excellent idea for a thread, I believe it needs looking at. I have thought about it- when LP made his statement, and again when I found out that Kronk had brought LE to the site in Aug. But I just can't see LE doing it. They are geared to prosecution and to delay the recovery would put that in jepordy. Also think of the dangers of the crime scene being altered- animals (including humans) could remove things, wind and water could cause more damage to the evidence. The fact that the duct tape was still attached is an absolute miracle to me as it is. Plus there would be a danger of the news getting out into the public domain, and believe me they don't want that.

I do believe that LE has pressured the family and defense, I believe that some things the prosecution and LE has said were designed to force the defense/family to make a move for the remains. I would bet that all family members were being followed while KC was out on bail. And I believe that LE was well aware that much of the KC speak was code. And I think that they might even have figured it out, except they hit that old LE failing- assumption. I think they thought that area had been searched. I think when the remains were found they even said the area had been searched by TES. Of course we know now that TES was there but the area was unsearchable.

I also think this was LE's biggest oversight in the case. The area closest to the house should have been searched very early on, they knew KC had been back to the home several times and was the area that KC was most familiar with. But I think they treated it differently because they believed that KC left the home with Caylee.

Did Kronk ever mention that LE was not looking in the right spot the first few times he called? Or did LE admit they had not searched in the "correct" area? I think JB and DC have some secrets between them. JMO

I never heard that either, wow, found on his B-day, amazing. I do believe in angels:)

So do I! It made me cry to think how happy TM must have been to have gotten the call that she was found, and wondered if this could have been his birthday present form his daughter. I know the thought had to have crossed his mind and brought him some peace knowing that she was with Caylee and would look after her now. (Oh! I'm tearing up just thinking about it again!)

the area is not that large that it could not have been drained. After Fay my neighborhood was thigh deep in water and there are hundreds of homes in it. They set up a big pump on the main stree and within 24 hours the place was dry. Freaked me out I thought we would be in water for weeks.

It can be done.

Yes, but if LE or TES thought her little bones were in there, they could not drain it, as it would suck up some of the smallest bones from her little hands and feet. Also, they would want to preserve the crime scene, and pumping out all the water in order to do a search, would definite move everything around and place it where it wasn't originally, stirring up the entire crime scene.

and maybe after finding the Blackjack LE had SEVERAL AREAS under surveillance from the info they got off it.

Is it a fact LE has the blackjack? (I haven't heard that along with all the other stuff I hadn't heard:)

What a perfect blackmail setup to get DC in trouble...Then it is tampering with evidence. How can it be used?
