Oh...I don't know...calling the teenager with a seeming penchant for drugs and casual sex such a great mommy-the best of all Ron's paramours (my paraphrase) seems to be quite cruel to the mother of her grandchildren. Again, JMO

Since this is the TN thread I won't respond other than saying I do not believe she was being intentionally "cruel".

:waitasec: I am speaking about TN. That is my opinion of her comments about the mother of her grandchildren and I stand by them.

ITA she obviously has all kinds of info about the other side of the family, a lot of which we have learned, and we did not learn it through her. She didn't stoop to that level. She voiced her opinion which she is absolutely entitled to do. I certainly won't fault her for that.

I have to agree re the restraint-but the mud slinging she did at Haleigh and Jr's mother expense showed more of her true side..I can't imagine how she could ever look Haleigh or Junior in the eye and explain how Misty was the better mommy than their own mother...Made me cringe for those kids...

Again since this is the TN thread so I won't respond other than to say I do not call TN's statements "mudslinging" or cruel for a variety of reasons. But I do agree unsubstantiated mudslinging towards a parent at a child's expense during a time of unprecedented stress and trauma in said child's life is totally unwarranted and "cruel".

Elle, oh, man, I don't want to do this again...sheesh

1. She confirmed RC picked up Haleigh (she wasn't there)
2. she told us RC had a fight with JO about a gun (she wasn't there)
3. she told us about JO being a bad guy.
4. she told us about Misty and she is a better mother than their own
5. She told us RC and Misty were up all Sunday night "discussing their relationship".
6. She told us M was exhausted from doing so and that is why she didn't hear the door.
7. She told us what M was wearing when R got home.
8. She told us dirty clothes are on the floor near the door almost all the time.
9. She told us Ron was cleared.
10.She told us the RC called her during 911....
11.She told us she sent "a family member" there to check on things.
......there is more, these are off the top of my head.

TN hit my hinky meter when she showed the photo she said came from her home that she brought with her for LE, IIRC............
and how did she ge there so quick.........IIRC,it's been noted in some posts that she didn't live where she said she did.
IMO, I feel TN has been lying from the minute we first met her on TV.

Ceeker...Not according to my thinking, Crystal had every right to try and save JR from that family. She had just learned her daughter came up missing on Ron's watch and had been sleeping with a 16 yr old, who had recently turned 17 and was in care of her children 24/7.

Did you expect Crystal to not try and save her son? To think she wouldn't try and get him out of harms' way would not be logical.

Yep..possible.
IMO..TN is controlling and passive-aggressive in nature.

Well, the way I look at it she's being cruel by saying Misty was the best step mommy on the planet.
Either she meant that about Misty (ummm...no comment needed), or she was being intentionally hurtful towards Crystal.

IMO, she did it intentionally, which was just plain old wrong.

BBM-ITA with you on this....

IMO...she would be the ultimate nightmare for a mother-in-law.....brrrrrr....
......have no facts to support that speculation, just wish I did..

Yes but to address your statement "... calling the teenager with a seeming penchant for drugs and casual sex such a great mommy-the best of all Ron's paramours (my paraphrase) seems to be quite cruel to the mother of her grandchildren" would involve IMO discussing the level of "cruelty" in that statement which would involve discussing more than one teenager/motherly figure with a seeming penchant for drugs and casual sex so I left it alone.

Whatever I think of the legitimacy of the implication, I don't believe that was what was in TN's mind at the time (to be cruel) because IMO there were probably more direct ways to do that :)

Yeah, but TN doesn't go direct; she prefers the indirect route...IMO.

Well I am fine with agreeing to disagree and I disagree.

:)

Again this is the TN thread but according to my thinking, I would have marched right down to the courthouse with or without my probono attorney and filled IMMEDIATELY for custody in this situation, right or wrong on my part. For whatever reason CS did NOT do that. Did she try to save her son? I guess that's up for debate LOL

Yeah, but TN doesn't go direct; she prefers the indirect route...IMO.

Re" BBM. Which IMO in this instance is probably the less cruel way to go about it, if indeed that was her intent, which I still don't think it truly was or she would have done much more damage to CS than saying Misty was "motherly".

my bold...Could you direct me to that post. Most of the facts I have read involving this case come from LE.

Also, TN does not live with Granny Sykes does she? I don't think it is safe to assume that most of the facts that TN receives comes from her son and daughter in law.

Elle1919: She was referring to the info given to TN on 2/9/09.

As far as damge to Crystal by TN, we do not know what she has done....and shouldn't. Suggesting the young girl who had recently entered her son's life as a better mother than Crystal was is mud-slinging at its best. She got her digs in...IMO

I think the direct approach is much more commendable than a stab in the back with a smile. Especially when the only reason for the subterfuge is a concern for your own appearance to others. JMO.

Elle, oh, man, I don't want to do this again...sheesh

1. She confirmed RC picked up Haleigh (she wasn't there) yes, from the bus stop Monday on that we agree.
2. she told us RC had a fight with JO about a gun (she wasn't there)TN and Misty both recall an incident over a gun, LE has not commented on the gun and RC say's there was not fight over a gun.
3. she told us about JO being a bad guy. I think the comment you are referring to was where TN was responding to a question posed to her about "cousin Joe" I remember she commented that she had no way of knowing if that person had previously harmed a child.
4. she told us about Misty and she is a better mother than their ownYes TN did tell us about Misty but I do not remember her saying that Misty was a better mother than Crystal. You might have drawn that conclusion but I did not.
5. She told us RC and Misty were up all Sunday night "discussing their relationship".okay
6. She told us M was exhausted from doing so and that is why she didn't hear the door.I believe what TN was doing was explaining that she thought RC and MC were up the whole evening before talking so perhaps she wouldn't hear Hankjr knocking on the door. I didn't take her comment to mean that it was impossible for Misty to have heard knocking, she was trying to give her opinion why she might not hear knocking.
7. She told us what M was wearing when R got home.
8. She told us dirty clothes are on the floor near the door almost all the time.
9. She told us Ron was cleared. Perhaps Law Enforcement told her Ronald was cleared?
10.She told us the RC called her during 911....I don't know about you but I personally can hear RC talking to someone in the background of the 911 call while the dispatcher is talking to Misty. I find it probable that RC DID call his mother then.
11.She told us she sent "a family member" there to check on things.
......there is more, these are off the top of my head.

My answers in red. Thank you for taking the time to do that. #'s 7 and 8 on your list seem to be observations that TN willingly gave us based on her observations the night Haleigh went missing. In TN's most recent interview that she doesn't care who is involved see below from NG interview...

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0909/23/ng.01.html

snip from NG 9/23/09 ..I believe Haleigh is alive. I have faith in God to take care of my baby girl and find her. And I don`t care who had something to do with it. Those are the people who need to be put away and bring my baby girl home. end snip...

It sounds to me like TN doesn't care who is involved, she wants to see Haleigh found and the people responsible put away.
