Terrorist Attack at Boston Marathon #6 *SUSPECT APPREHENDED*

Sorry if this has already been mentioned and I missed it, but I can't help but wonder if TT wasn't involved...

Gym owner Allan said that Tamerlan had once introduced him to an American, Brendan Mess, whom Tamerlan described as his best friend.

Two years ago, Mess and two other men were brutally killed in a Waltham apartment where they were found by police with their throats slit and their bodies covered with marijuana. The murders remain unsolved.

Detectives who walked into that apartment on Sept. 12, 2011, found the bodies of Cambridge natives Brendan Mess, 25, Erik Weissman, 31, and Raphael Teken, 37, all stabbed in the neck, and covered with marijuana.

Rosalinda Morgan lives next door to the scene of the crime, at 8 Harding Ave. She was recovering from back surgery at her home on Sept. 12, 2011, when police officers arrived. Even though she lives on the second floor of the building, and can see into Mess’ apartment, she said she didn’t hear anything on that day.

According to Morgan, five men lived in the apartment and they were frequently coming in and out. One of the men drove a Mercedes-Benz, she said.

A year after the incident, Morgan wants answers, but has yet to hear anything about what might have happened that day.

A DOJ official explains why Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzokhar Tsarnaev has not been read his Miranda rights.

"The suspect is en route to the hospital for immediate treatment," the official tells TPM's Sahil Kapur. "But we plan to invoke the public safety exception to Miranda in order to question the suspect extensively about other potential explosive devices or accomplices and to gain critical intelligence."

The public safety exception allows law enforcement officials to question suspects briefly in a legally admissable way prior to providing Miranda rights in cases of terrorism or when the public might face imminent threat.

I read that this morning. I wouldn't be surprised if they do some more investigation now and find out that TT was in fact responsible. Just too much of a coincidence...

If it is real and i have no reason to think its not, i bet they were for sale in the Umass Dartmouth bookshop along with a bunch of other crazy front plates. In no way do i think because his friend had it that it meant anything more than the other couple of hundred who may have bought it had it. Its just ironic given the situation. I will blame him for lots of things but not something that looks school produced and what seems to me to be typical college bravado...terrorista doesn't mean terrorist in their lexicon imo

Mods could chime in, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was not one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging case this board has had as far as sleuthing due to the wild speculation online, innocent people getting singled out, etc.

In a situation like this, where there are numerous similarities between the Bombers and their friends, it would be obscenely reckless IMO to dismiss this license plate, their nationalities, their travels, without vetting them every which way...up and down. Innocent people are dead...there appears to be good reason to suspect radical ideologies behind this terror. We cannot just laugh this off...or deride attempts to investigate. Is this a coincidence...maybe...but we darenot PRESUME so.
