Speaking at a press conference, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, said that she regretted moving to the US and claimed "America took my kids away from me."

She said she had been told he had a "really bad wound to his right neck" which meant he could not eat and was being fed by a tube.

Mrs Tsarnaeva said that she was not sure whether she would accompany her husband. She was charged with shoplifting in the US last summer and is concerned she could be arrested.

Feds Find Cache of Fireworks Dumped in Boston Suburb

Overnight, federal agents and police discovered what could be fresh evidence of how the men believed responsible for the twin detonations at the Boston Marathon finish line constructed their bombs.

Agents uncovered a stash of firework shells, some of which appeared to have been emptied of their gunpowder. The cache was discovered in a used clothing collection bin in a grocery store parking lot in Watertown.

Instead of being angry that the State is paying for the parents to return, maybe be glad that what they say can shed some important insight?

There's always going to be bad people/people that never find their place and take it to the extreme... So don't let this alter the image you have of muslims/refugees/immigrants etc. I just feel the thread has been going a little off on the attitudes.

About Mom saying that she doesn't care if DT is killed and then herself, I see this in the light of their strong muslims beliefs. I think she just meant "if it's God's will"!

It sounded like a total freudian slip to me,especially the way she added "and I don't care if they kill me either" as an afterthought, like ooops,I think she meant what she said...

The Boston bomber's got a legal pit bull in his corner.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's defense case will be handled by one of New England’s top public defenders, a 21-year veteran with experience representing terror suspects.

Miriam Conrad, 56, is heading up a team tasked with beating charges of using a weapon of mass destruction to murder three and injure nearly 200 more, crimes which carry a possible death sentence.

I'm trying to find out if she's an anti dp advocate, I mean a renowned advocate. For some reason I think she is but can't place her name. I know she had something to do with representing Reid but its other stuff I'm wondering about. I think she may be one of the people I was searching info on when we were all speculating who could come to CMA's defense team & lend a hand. If this lady's an anti dp advocate, I highly suspect she'll save Dzhokhar's life. He may get lwop and still stay alive.

When I first *read* it, I thought she was just saying how upset she is she wants to die and everyone else can too. (Kind of selfish and overly dramatic, but you know.)

When I first *heard* it, I thought she was denouncing him for killing her oldest and first born, not that she would ever admit he killed TT out loud.

Anyone know what they are looking for at landfill?

I see fireworks discarded in the clothing bin has been mentioned, but what could they be looking for at landfill?

(At work, no speakers, and one of the bosses is here. :sigh:)

Maybe checking their trash from the weeks before? I have no clue. (The only thing you can hear on the live feed is the chopper. There is no one narrating.)

4:09am I am watching CNN.
They are now saying dad will return alone.
Mom will stay there.

IMO that means she has nothing to offer and she is
afraid the US will arrest her for shop-lifting.
She has no desire to help the US.

I doubt dad has much either...

They can help the U.S from their home in Dagestan or wherever it is that they live. They can Skype for all I care LOL

Here is an interesting read on some of the fighting etc. that has been going on in Chechnya. I did some reading after hearing about kidnappings through a family member of mine.

Anyone know what kind of lawyer Uncle Ruslan is? We know he's a lawyer, grad from Duke Law. But what is his expertise?

Does anyone remember a news station informing that police were using, or could have been using, bullets that weren't deadly but were meant to subdue? This pertained to the boat shoot out. Also, anybody remember the mention of sharpshooters being stationed in strategic areas around the boat?

It would be standard procedure to have snipers stationed around the boat. Every SWAT team has them.

Watching the landfill search, it seems like they are searching for something specific. Strange.

It sure does look that way.

Wonder if it is something a victim, witness, or DT told them about?

Snipped:
Hundreds of people — foreign aid workers, journalists, Russian soldiers and local residents — have been kidnapped by armed bands for ransom in Chechnya. An American missionary, Herbert Gregg, was held hostage for seven months in Chechnya before being released in June 1999.

Then I searched drug trafficking kidnapping terrorism & found this:

The entire article is moi interesting!

There is nothing those people could or WOULD say that would assist in this case, just more of the same stupidity we've already heard.

That's a bit short sighted isn't it? What if the father knows who the son saw while visiting Russia? Who they spent time with in the USA or if the sons confided in him their plans?

rubber bullets were used to shoot at the boat but I don't think during the initial gunfire

Duh, I keep forgetting "google is my friend."

Specifically Authorities are trying to find any sales receipts or discarded packaging from ammunition purchases or parts of homemade bombs that may have been used in test explosions.

Ok now color me even MORE CONFUSED... Wth do they need receipts IF THEY HAVE VIDEO SHOWING SUSPECTS PLACING THE BOMBS? Now I'm getting irritated.

Ooohhh! I think I can answer my own question... In going through all of Jahar's tweets & viewing the full conversations showing his friends in context of the conversations, one can deduce that tests were carried out on various dates prior to the bombings.
