3:03pm: Under cross-examination from defence counsel Michael Byrne QC, Senior Sergeant Taylor said no blood was found inside the Baden-Clays' house after Mrs Baden-Clay's disappearance.

He also said there were "no obvious indications of a cleanup" inside the house or inside Mrs Baden-Clay's silver Holden Captiva.

3:31pm: Senior Constable Streeting also tested the Baden-Clays' silver Holden Captiva for traces of blood.

He said one blood stain was found in the boot of the car.

He described the stain as a "transfer blood stain" and added that the blood appeared to have "dripped down" the rear door of the boot.

"When an object which could be a person or any person ... comes in contact with the surface and basically transfers the blood onto that surface," Senior Constable Streeting said.

"The only force acting on this blood is gravity making it flow down the surface."

3:35pm: Senior Constable Streeting could not say what "volume" of blood would have caused the stain.

He said it was not possible to determine the age of the blood stain.

"At this point in time it is not possible to date blood," he said.

"There's no way to look at a blood stain and say it's been there for x-amount of time.
