10:01am: The fourth week of the trial is under way in Court 11.

Gerard Baden-Clay has returned to the witness box to be questioned by his defence counsel Michael Byrne QC.

The trial drew a large crowd of curious court watchers this morning with the queue to the building stretching at least 100 metres from the front door by 7.45am.

10:08am: Mr Baden-Clay is speaking about his family life after the birth of his second daughter.

He said he did most of the heavy lifting of the evenings, bathing his children, feeding them dinner and putting them to bed.

"On most occasions Allison would go to bed pretty much as soon as I walked in the door," he said.

He said he and his parents opened their own real estate franchise Century 21 Westside at Kenmore in 2005.

''At first it was myself, my Mum and Dad and a girl called Cheryl," he said.

"It was just the four of us ...

"We started from nothing ... we had no clients, no listings, nothing, so we had to start everything from scratch so it was quite a challenge but ... we became very successful very quickly.

"That first year, 2005, we won the Quest Business Achievers Award for the Best Real Estate Agency in the western suburbs."
