I empathize with the Anthony family for what they have had to face and for what still lies ahead. I'm aware this is not a popular sentiment on this forum; nevertheless, it is how I feel. And I understand them supporting KC, Cindy's attempts to mislead LE with changing stories and misplaced hairbrushes notwithstanding. I think that they have "circled the wagons" around KC now that they know there is nothing they can do anymore to save Caylee. They were just an average American family going about their little lopsided lives until KC turned their worlds upside down. Now they have to reconcile that they have lost not one, but two family members whom they loved. While I am sure there is anger toward KC, there is also obviously love, and I can't fault them for that. Parents protect, and if they are to be guilty of something, I think it's that they protected KC way too much and for far too long from the repercussions of her actions. But I know many other families who are guilty of the same thing, and their children ultimately turn out to be fine and would never consider doing the horrific things KC has done. In many ways, parenthood is just a crapshoot. Nothing is a given.
