Could this tie into the fight about babysitting? Maybe they needed someone to watch the kids while they celebrated early?

Possibly, altho I heard Natisha Lance say on Nancy Grace's show that the argument between Ron and Misty was about Misty taking off the previous weekend.

Investigators interviewed Timothy Croslin and his wife Saturday as they searched for clues that might help them find Haleigh, 6, who disappeared from her Satsuma, Fla., home on Feb. 9, according to Putnam County Sheriff spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood.

According to the Cape Cod Times, the Florida investigators were following up on a tip Haleigh was spotted at an Abington Walmart. Haleigh is 3 feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds.

Well...I guess the issue of Timmy and Chelsea moving are put to rest and the other issue of who was interviewed in the Cape, too. :p

Putnam County Sheriff agents and officials with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement traveled to the Cape to interview Croslin, Greenwood said, but he wouldn’t say why.

Now...Let me see...PCSO "agents" AND officials with the FDLE went clear to the Cape. This would sound like at least 4 or more people to me. Wow. Must have been SOME tip!

At Walmart...it means they also have surveillance tape!!!

I hope the surveillance tape is still available to LE...not copied over or anything...and I really hope and pray it is Haleigh.

I made a comment at the article link earlier today and you should read the comments from people there that claim to be local. Not many, but they claim it is C/T Croslin.

A poster reports the state police barracks is in So. Yarmouth..I know there's not that many on the Cape so it is very possible C/T may not actually live there but in nearby Dennis as they claim.

I think the larger stores like Target and Walmart do their surveillance tapes much different than other places. I believe they leave their tapes intact for extended periods.

Just sitting here thinkin'...If Haleigh does happen to be with Timmy & Chelsea, I'd just about walk all the way to MA to stomp a mud hole in somebody's backside! But I'm quite certain Ron would beat me there.

Abington? It is on the South Shore but not very close to the Cape or where on the Cape C/T supposedly live

Imagine that, it was Timmy and Chelsea. Who'd of thunk :p

I don't think they would be that stupid to have her themselves. However, it doesn't mean they couldn't send her with someone else who are either friends or family in the area.

I just think that if Haleigh was out in public, especially a HUGE store as walmart, there would have been more than one tip. Her face is memorable, more people surely would have recognized her, unless of course they chopped off her hair, or some other sort of disquise. JMO

Abington is about 60.41 miles from South Yarmouth, MA.

Abington is 20 miles south(east) of Boston. It's possible (IF) HaLeigh was with them, they were taking a trip into the city. There is a TON of things to do in Boston with kids. There is a children's museum, an aquarium, etc. Just a few thoughts.

Here's a few maps to give you an idea where Abignton is located. The second one shows Abington, as well Yarmouth.

(The red dot is Abington. The hook is Cape Cod)

In this map, you can see the red dot with the "A" in Abington. You can see South Yarmouth is labeled on the map.

Zephyr why do you think Ron would want HaLeigh to disappear? I don't believe that is the case, and no way would he sell her to anyone imo.

Flossie JMO, thanks for your opinion.

I posted a response in the Parking Lot - Haleigh Cummings #7 thread. It's post number 743 if you want to read it. Can't post it here - contains stuff not allowed upstairs. Sorry for taking so long to respond. Takes me forever to type that much.

My opinions only.

Interesting things about Abington, MA:

*is the fourth-smallest town
*As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 14,605 people
*approximately 2,300 students
*There is no freeway access to town; the town is located between Route 24 and Route 3.
*There is no air service in the town

Now...if a person wanted to go shopping for clothes for a child where they thought she would least be recognized...this to me is the perfect place. Off the beaten path. No air service meaning mainly locals being encountered. And one of the smallest towns in the state...meaning less chance of being of people knowing much about what is going on in Satsuma, Fl. I doubt if there are any fliers for Haleigh in Abington, MA. However, there must be one astute person who was on the lookout for her.

How do we know they didn't?

Maybe they had evidence that needed to be picked up and hand carried back to FL? Chain of evidence and all that.

I hope that Haleigh is found alive! This sounds pretty serious if the LE in Florida flew all the way to MA to interview this couple.

This might make sense, but there is absolutely no need to take a child with you to go out to buy clothes for them, so why would anyone take that risk of them being seen. There is also no current evidence available to us that any child was actually spotted, or that this person who claims that they saw them is even FROM the area!

Now, I would tend to think that they must have seen some security video or stills to at least confirm a small child was there, but the idea presented by another poster that PCSO went there to bring home evidence offered by T and C Croslin makes a whole lot more sense to me. Local LE and state police could easily have followed up on the supposed "sighting" and then reported back to PCSO. If there was evidence offered, however, LE needed to have a face to face interview and to "escort" the evidence back to Florida.

Well now we know who it was for sure that LE was there to see. It is also said they were following a tip that Haleigh was seen at the Walmart, I am sure the Walmart has video, they usually keep it for 30 day here, I am not sure how long they keep it over there though. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Haleigh was found over the weekend. I think they would of released that info if they did, but you never know.

Hunt for missing Fla. girl leads to Cape. Florida investigators were following up on a tip Haleigh was spotted at an Abington Walmart.

A nationwide search for a missing Florida girl came to Massachusetts over the weekend, when Sunshine State authorities traveled to Cape Cod to question Timothy Croslin and his wife Saturday. Florida Department of Law Enforcement traveled to the Cape to interview Croslin, Greenwood said, but he wouldn’t say why.

The tip regarding the sighting of Haleigh at WalMart reminds me of the tip regarding Caylee playing at the Florida Mall. It is comforting to know that LE is still following up on every tip that comes forward.
