It's odd that you call it a 'Clinton era military base gun ban', when you yourself linked an article above that states that the military directive (not an executive order) came from the Bush era. (Either way, it was neither Bush nor Clinton who was responsible for the decision -- it came from the Department of Defense during Bush's tenure.)

Montjoy, if you simply read the same article, you will see that the military base gun ban was implemented in March 1993; two months after Bill Clinton was sworn in as US President. The President of the United States is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. The US President can easily overrule or Trump the Department of Defense's high level official's directives..

It is TIME to start arming military recruitment centers and training centers/bases.
What in god's name is with disarming those places ? It is clear now that they are targets.
Do we just let those who serve and protect us get gunned down without regard ?? (sarcasm)
I'm going to say this and apologies in advance if I offend.... but the former pres. Clinton was foolish to disarm those places.
What was/is wrong with him ?? What was the reasoning behind his decision ?

President Obama needs to allow those places like the one targeted yesterday to be armed !!! I respect the office of the president, but I admit I do not always agree with the decisions President Obama has made.
That is my opinion as a United States citizen.

I think hatred not enough to call someone terrorist. Terrorism is more than just one event, but many driven by same 'islam spreading' ideology.
They rule with fear in Middle East and they want to do the same in West. Problem is we let them to do that, to kill more and more people.
Islamic terrorists have killed more people than 'white men', also in the States thousands as we all remember disastrous 9/11 like it happened yesterday.

Let me be clear, I don't think that Christianity is to blame for Christians who commit terrorist acts any more than I think that Islam is responsible for Muslims who commit terrorist acts.

But as for your question -- do you have any link to show that there are more Muslim than Christian terrorists in the USA? You won't find one.

bluesneakers, with the exception of Military Police on stateside military bases, yes they are essentially gun free zones. Soldiers and other base personnel are unarmed. The armed forces career resource center in Chattanooga, TN where the massacre happened yesterday, was a gun free zone.

What are the parameters of that statement? Do crimes committed against black citizens count? Let's add up the crimes committed in Chicago and Detroit.
Crimes against any citizen, by any group, should be called out. This is not what this country was built on. We called Roof a white supremist, this is an act of Islamic terror. And I have not heard any Muslim speak out against it. Are they afraid or in agreement? Don't know unless they tell me.

I am fine with that and most people should be. The only ones who would be against it would be people trying to hide what they are preaching about.

So long as ANY religious organization has nothing to hide, then they should welcome the FBI.

If you can show me an example of where a christian church was preaching death to America and someone in the church became a terrorist because of the church's teachings, I would love to see an example.

Maybe we have different definitions, because IMO essentially gun free isn't the same as gun free. Every base I've ever been stationed at had a sizeable collection of weapons.

Did you read the article? It's pretty clear. The list is "10 of the worst examples of non-Islamic terrorism that have occurred in the United States in the last 30 years." Not crimes. Terrorism.
