This is so sad, the goats are so cute. She seemed to have a happy full life with her kids and husband. She and I have something in common, I make and sell Native jewelry. She seemed to really love living in AZ.
She also raised chickens, and eggs (would trade and ship them).

Nick Barghouthi, 40, a clerk at the County Line gas station and convenience store, said Mayes had been a regular customer for nine months. On his most recent visit April 30, he had changed his appearance.

"He used to have a pony tail, but the day I saw him, his pony tail was gone," Barghouthi said.

Barghouthi said he turned over the surveillance video when law enforcement agents came to talk to him about Mayes.

JB seemed to be motivated and more educated then the others. She was going to school and then running this business. She seemed to be a great mother and nurturer for these girls. She was just in with the wrong families. So sad for her and her daughters.

I wonder if he bought his special crackers, peanut butter, mayo and tomato soup at County Line?

We don't know very much yet about the extended Bain family. I'm sure they are beyond devastated. And as someone posted earlier, they may very well have been advised by LE not to talk to media (even if they want to)...very delicate situation, obviously.

Okay folks, let's keep in mind the source for all this latest "character" information for Adam. Every bit of it is coming from Teresa Mayes's family (her mother and her sister).

IF this guy was truly this odd on the outside (meaning that it is painfully obvious) I don't think that Joann is the type to let him hang around day and night. Don't forget that it was stated early on that Adam "babysat" the girls frequently.

I take everything Teresa's family has to say with a grain of salt. They are only getting her defense ready. And, this whole "mental retardation" thing doesn't sit right with me either. If Teresa started to wildy text and Facebook after the murders, she clearly knew she had done something wrong and was looking for advice!

Now, the man who came forward and said that Adam was trying to buy Viagra. I think this story is credible. This witness has no stake in the matter.

Is this referring to one trailer or two?

Police located a trailer that Mayes had rented from Union County, Miss., that contained items belonging to the two girls, the documents state.

Mayes was last seen on April 30, in surveillance video from a grocery market in Guntown, Miss., where he lives. Police have also found a trailer Mayes rented from Guntown that contained personal items belonging to the two young girls.

That's interesting, Guntown is in Lee County, so it could be two different rentals and maybe why LE isn't giving a vehicle description. Another thing, they didn't take anything with them from the house, so if the first rental had hair clippings and such, he could have bought clothes and things for them in the planning stage. It's not like he can go in and rent anything now, makes me wonder more about the Linda Reed case.

Cue the 'Deliverance' banjos.:banghead:

He was telling people the younger two girls are his. Not just TM is saying that he believed the two girls were his children. So either he was completely delusional or had a reason to believe they might be his children.

I'm thinking it is a total fantasy. Or like he mentally 'adopted' them in his mind only. The one girl is 12. How old would he have been when she was born?

I am having a lot of trouble with things that TM's family is saying.

They have hinted that TM was frightened of AM and might have been intimidated by TM into helping with the murders. Weren't they divorced? There is always a degree of independence with a divorce, even if they later renew a relationship. And murder is a huge step. A step that most won't take unless there is something in it for them.

Now I do agree that she might have been easily manipulated. Like maybe she could have been convinced that she might become Mommy. And like maybe they might get back together and become a family.

Another thing I have trouble with is that AM and JB had a previous relationship. JB is married to GB and according to all reports AM was close to the family. Reportedly he spent a lot of time with the family, stayed with them. I can't see any man allowing an ex to spend that much time with his wife. Now I can see a man who knew that someone had a crush on his wife to hang around. IF the wife didn't seem to have that type of feeling for the man. IF say she looked at the guy like a brother or a BFF.

I can see AM having a crush on JB, perhaps wishing he had a relationship with JB. And being allowed to hang around, seeing the girls grow up, maybe fantasizing that he was their father. Maybe fantasizing a relationship between him and JB. Unfortunately if he was that capable of fantasy, he would also be able to fantacize a relationship between himself and one or both of the children becoming sexual. He could transfer his feelings for their mother to the children.

JB was 31, AM is 36. Does anyone know how old GB is?

Does anyone recall (or can find) a link where it was stated that LE first interviewed AM on Sunday, April 29 (and what time)? It's in the Timeline thread (ty HM!).

I know they (TBI) tried to re-interview him on Tuesday, May 1, but he had fled.

This is one of those things that has grown legs due to bad reporting IMO.

In earlier articles they referred to where he lived as being near Guntown. But he actually lived in Union County. This are very close.

Then in an article it stated he rented a trailer and for several pages in the thread everyone thought he rented a trailer to transport the bodies.

This was actually a misunderstanding of the rented trailer he lived in. A media article helped to start the misinterpretation.

I truely believe it was the girls he was interested in. That is who he hung out with, babysat for and took back to MS to with him to stay at his house.

I think they are not giving vehicle descriptions because they dont want ppl shooting some innocent person driving a certain kind of car that has their kids in it!

They dont want ppl chasing him!

but they do want to know if ppl see him!

The part of Guntown where he lived is in Union Co. The command post is in the town (very small) of Guntown which is in Lee Co. Lot of the little towns around here seem to be split between 2 counties. Just up the highway from Guntown is a small town, Baldwyn, which has a split right down Main St. of Lee Co and Prentiss Co. Lee side of street is wet (can buy alcohol); Prentiss side of street is DRY (NO alcohol). Welcome to Mississippi......LOL......

Added: Alpine is just a community name. Postal mailing address for the area is Guntown.

GB> 60 ish

AM> early thirties

I'm sure someone has exact ages. At this point I've pretty much thrown out my notebook.

I'm guessing that they are talking about the girls' belongings being found in the blue trailer behind AM's mom/parents' home. I've been thinking (guessing) that AM and TM lived there (if not in the trailer-mobile home there).

Whether AM rented a trailer that you pull behind a car/truck is an unanswered question, complicated by nothing being released (that I've seen) about the whereabouts of the U-Haul (was it a truck, or trailer? I don't recall) that GB and AM were intending to take to AZ soon.

Someone even speculated that AM rented a tow-behind trailer, either separately for the crimes, or it was the alleged U-Haul that was to go to AZ (with GB).

ARGH!

(not to mention that this article needs proof-reading and editting...the paragraph in question is almost duplicated)

And he was caught on that video in the conv store on April 30th
