this is confusing..

http://www.kfvs12.com/story/15940482/search-continues-for-missing-dyer-county-mom

was 0130 am "early"? Was she picking up the kids from Dad's house? He was the last to see her right? And now we have that she went to bed with sick daughter and the daughter ends up in another room with mom gone???

I am confused!

Count me confuse too! I thought that she was dropping her kids off at dad's house at 1:30. If she went to bed with a sick daughter; wouldn't the daughter be the last one to see her - not her husband??

I really hope we do not get bad media in this case!!

so, who was watching the kids during the party? it seems they both still live in the same home?

Seems like that dad's story (and seems like he's sticking to it?) is that he last saw her at 1:30am when she dropped their daughter.

But it may be the daughter's story about going to bed with her mom.

So I wonder if she actually came home before 1:30am, yet the husband "saw" her at 1:30am so that's his "story".

We've just seen to many like this. Too many...

Some of her friends have replaced their FB pictures with ones of Karen standing by them. There are several pictures of Karen; and she is beautiful and happy in all of them. I can no longer see husbands FB page; and most of Karen's pictures and her wall are now private (they were not private a couple of days ago).

I am extremely concerned! Disappearing in the middle of the night is disconcerting.

If she left to buy medicine for her sick daughter; I hope they are checking area stores for surveillance. Is "husband" still living at home? She filed for divorce on Nov 11; where did he live in comparison?

I hope that LE found intel in her car!

Sorry for the ramble!! Hoping that today is the day that Karen is found!

ETA: I just saw NB's post about dad living at home. :sigh:

I'm confused on where this all took place too. Were they still living in the same house? Where was the daughter was picked up from? We need a timeline for the day...including hubby's, imo.

From assumptions that were staying in the same house, it sounds like someone could have moved the dd to another bed/room to be alone with the mother. Hope we have some clarification soon. This was their second time around at marriage. Divorced and remarried....now divorcing again. She sure doesn't look her age, does she?

BBM

This has changed in just one day!

At least not yet... :sigh:

Sorry to quote myself - but here it says that she was a talented landscaper and had a job the next day; but in Nurse's article it states that she taught at the YMCA. Did she do both?

I hope that there is a press conference soon to give us more information. I would like to know her actual schedule that night and her "living arrangements".

Where are you Karen?

Little map showing distance to her hometown of Walnut Ridge, AR. It' 111 miles...which is a long way to travel for regular landscaping, imo. From the schedule at the Y, she was only teaching 1 class a week. ??

The bloodhound should have found a trail from the car. I think the car/flat tire could be a red herring and she was never in the car.

I agree:

Dickie Vanstory and James Dickens with the Tennessee Department of Corrections in Lauderdale County brought a bloodhound and searched the area around Swift's residence and where her car was found.

"We did a circle of the perimeter," said Vanstory who has been with the TDOC since 1980.

Box said the dog didn't hit on anything that could help them at the moment and his department is looking at other pieces of information in the investigation.http://www.stategazette.com/story/1779590.html

her missing person flier asks for people to look in the bootheel area of MO as well... not familiar with the area....

keep looking for more news on Karen (her story worries me a lot) and not finding anything.. how odd....

According to court documents Swift filed for divorce on October 10, 2011 due to irreconcilable differences.

"I think she's kept it pretty private and quiet out of respect for family, kids, and husband," Engelhardt said.

Friends said this is the second divorce for the couple, who still lives together. David Swift has until November 10 to respond to the petition for divorce.

Action News 5's attempts to contact David Swift were unsuccessful Thursday, but on Facebook, he told a friend, "We want her home and love her very much. Preston, my son has been speaking with the media. My main focus is to working with the authorities to get her home safely. Thanks for the many prayers and kind words which is greatly appreciated."

As authorities continue to search for clues in Swift's disappearance, friends like Engelhardt hoped for the best.

this article says they still live together

NurseB - I can't get Karen off of my mind either. I am amazed that there is not more media. I am terribly worried about her. Her little girls are absolutely adorable. The interview with her son was heartbreaking. I cannot imagine the worry and stress that they are under. Thank NB you for always posting the articles!

me either...although not from TN, this case has some interesting common facts with the Jacque Rawson Waller case.

Seems not too coincidental they all had problematic marriages, including Jacque Waller.

How about Holly Bobo? She was from Darden TN?

Apparently kidnapped case unsolved (not married however?)

another woman missing from TN. Sorry but TBI has not solved one case. :(

Has anyone noticed how much Karen looks like an older Holly Bobo? (Sorry if this has been mentioned, I didn't read the entire thread.
