Surely they can. I know everybody is frustrated but after following cases on here I do understand why there is no info coming out. LE just cannot comment until they know something for sure.

Cutting or intentionally flattening a tire would definitely be evidence of foul play so I assume that LE KNOWS that wasn't the case. It boggles my mind how many women & children (and some men too) disappear without a trace, never to be heard from again. Scary!!!!

I haven't read the thread yet, but did a search on Google for Dyersburg and thought it sure must be a nice place when I read this at the top of the list -

Dyersburg, TN

Dyersburg is composed of friendly, God-fearing and patriotic citizens living and enjoying big city conveniences.

Friends said this is the second divorce for the couple, who still lives together. David Swift has until November 10 to respond to the petition for divorce.
Action News 5's attempts to contact David Swift were unsuccessful Thursday, but on Facebook, he told a friend, "We want her home and love her very much. Preston, my son has been speaking with the media. My main focus is to working with the authorities to get her home safely. Thanks for the many prayers and kind words which is greatly appreciated."

Strange, as this article clearly states that foul play is suspected.

ETA: I reread you quote and I see it is basically saying that no evidence of foul play has yet been found. However, I think that foul play may be suspected, but who knows as LE and TBI are not giving pressers. :sigh: Where are you Karen?!

Agree - strange that one article says foul-play, now they aren't saying that...
Wonder what's up? Cut tires = foul play.
Is this going be one of those where the husband says his wife was depressed and suicidal.

I think they are playing along with hubby .. rope-a-dope .. keep him thinking they aren't looking at him etc ... imo

Eeeek....sounds a little bit over the top to me. Why couldn't they just say "friendly"? Do they actually think that many of their fellow citizens from other towns and cities are unpatriotic? Would they not welcome someone who is not 'God-fearing'? Doesn't sound too friendly to me.

(I admit it is likely well-intentioned. And sorry if I've stepped out of line here.) :innocent:

Love all of you guys, I say sheepishly.

While I recognize that this particular case has been far from determined to be related to the spouse, regarding other Tennessee women who have disappeared in less than favorable marital circumstances, we should include this one as well:

It relates to Marsha Brantley. She was missing for a number of months before her friends (not her husband) reported her missing. TBI is investigating this case as well. If you look at this article from yesterday, it pretty much sums up the case, if you don't have time to read the entire thread.

was the restraining order in rumor in Hollys case ever confirmed?

Karen filed for papers for divorce ,Gail had the police to her house shortly before she vanished. I also noticed the professional looking photos for these woman... They might have more in common then we think.

Is there a common professional service these woman would seek like legal help /Aid?

I see they have recovered some items they believe belong to Karen and sent them in for examination. "Roughly, thirty minutes into their search, Box stated Strike Team members had found evidence in an overgrown area believed to be connected to Swift.

"We will have to wait for the results to come back," said Box. "

UGH...not good news at all...:(

Remember, in Holly Bobo's case, they also found evidence. However, months later, we are no closer to knowing where Holly is.

I am praying for Karen. This case is under my skin. I just hope that she is found safe, but I know the odds, and I just do not feel good about this at all!
