On the "Insider" thread someone suggested Al Pacino would be great in the role of JM. OMG! I hadn't thought of him, yes, yes, yes. And in the movie there must be an incidental scene, in a hotel, where he dances the tango with Gabrielle Anwar again. That would blow my mind!

I think she was looking for some ABC gum. She also looked under the table-that explains the handstand! :floorlaugh:

That's EXACTLY what I thought! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I thought he acted like he was at a cocktail party surrounded by admiring (?!) strangers saying, "Oh, I just the article summaries, someone as smart as me doesn't have to read the actual articles. That's for you ignorant lay people."

So true!

Kind of like when Arias was answering juror questions as though she was fielding questions from the students on "Inside The Actors Studio" .... the delusion runs high.

Ding ding ding! Yes.

Hey all - I was gone all day yesterday at the doctors but recorded the trial and while watching it last night about to fall asleep something caught my eye - and my guess is you guys caught it too, but just in case I found it on youtube.

WTH is she sneaking in the yellow folder??????
Watch 27:37ish- it appears she puts something in or under the folder while looking dead on at the witness (so an ultimate deception)
sneekyjodi.jpg

Then at 27:42 it appears to me she takes the folder off the table and places it under herself!

IS SHE SNEAKING SOMETHING OUT OF THE COURTROOM? PAPERCLIPS or other contraband????? WTH is she doing????????
Thoughts? If already mentioned, please excuse the re-posting!

Earlier times of interest too:
21:35 possibly slipping something in the folder
22:16 moves yellow folder over

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 32 - Part 1 - YouTube

I am not caught up so please forgive if someone has posted this . . . . @ about 28:25 the yellow tablet that had been under her or the table (or at least out of sight for a minute or so) magically returns back to the table.

Is this another case of JA thinking she was sneaking one over on people again - while the Dr. is talking about memory (or the lack of it) . . . she is not being overseen by a Deputy behind her near the door (no one is there). and the focus is supposedly off of her. She is hoping everyone is distracted away from her sneaking something (IMO)

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 32 - Part 1 - YouTube

Good morning all :seeya:

I watched this several times, and she appears to slip one of the pencils into the yellow notebook, and then slides the notebook back in front of her. The computer screen that is in front of her obscures our view, but I think the notebook is still on the table in front of her as you can see its black edge.

This is just me, but if you watch bits and pieces...I went from 27:00...keep watching the table. There are 2 pencils by the orange folder. She moves her hand around one of them and puts it in her folder...only one pencil left after that.
Don't know why she'd take a pencil. I KNOW she's NOT gonna jab it into a vein or anything.
Are pencils expensive in jail???

A court watcher on another blog said JA was sketching the 'expert witness'. She probably intended to sell it on EBay - now she can use it as TP in her little jail cell.

WOW, ANJ, I think you are correct about the yellow folder......she did put it under her.....what is she up to???

can someone no be contacted about this?
i mean its not just once its happened we've seen it a lot.

would love to see her being caught with contraband since she seems to think she is so so sneaky

The court/MCAO has informed us that they are overwhelmed with phone calls with advice/suggestions regarding this case. Please refrain from calling the Maricopa County Attorney Office and/or Superior Court. Mr. Martinez has all the pertinent information he needs and is in complete control of his case. Thx for your support. ~Admin 2~

That officer is obviously not watching her. She is dishonest, sneaky and she'll try to get away with everything.

Someone needs to tell the officer or judge or her attorneys. She's a <mod snip>.

Disgusting. There is already a Lifetime movie in the works about JA? Murder as entertainment. I feel more and more sadness for Travis' family each day of this travesty.

Whoever that woman is that's always sitting at the table right behind the defense counsel's table was wearing a blouse today that was unbuttoned and spread out practically to her navel. I kept looking at her expecting her to suddenly jump up and start doing a strip tease. I just can't believe that she was allowed to look like that in court of all places.

Maybe she is trying to take the men jurors focus off the trial (distraction) and on her so they are not paying attention to the testibloney?? Just a thought.

I haven't had time to read all that's been posted on this thread. So my apology if this has already been brought here.

On GMA this am they were talking about this case. They reported that to date, it has cost tax payers over $800,000 to defend Ms. Arias. :what:

Bet the good people of Arizona are just thrilled about that. :(

fwiw,
fran

From the gallery all I can see is the back of her from about shoulders up. I'm pretty short tho'.

Wow! I see that! (in the video). She is one sneaky beezy that's for sure.
I have no idea what it is, but there are cameras all over and she is escorted back to a holding cell, and then stripped of street clothes and back to her black and white prison wear. I don't think she could manage to smuggle a folder out, but with her, who knows.

Good catch!

BTW, Hope you eye(s) are better today.

thanks...but I don't think it was the folder she wanted..it was what was under it....as she was fingering the yellow folder she made sure the 'paper' or what ever it was, was under the folder. I am 99.99% sure I have seen her passing slips of paper to Mitigation Specialist that sits behind her....then the MA passes the note or what ever it is...to who ever??

That Ms. Stodola works for the public defender's office-and thus has her salary paid for by the taxpayers of Arizona-doesn't excuse her. In fact, its all the more reason for her to act and dress professionally

I would have hoped that appearing in a courtroom for a death penalty case would have been enough motivation for her to act professionally. I guess not. Perhaps she can find some inspiration from observing the impeccably dignified behavior of Travis' brothers and sisters, who endured weeks of listening to the sociopath who murdered their brother lie about him and everything else on the stand.

I don't know that I have seen her act inappropriately in this case. It's easy to expect someone to be stone faced for four months when you aren't the one sitting behind the murderer with the camera zoomed in on her.

I think her clothes are by all accounts a distraction, but she hasn't been stripping in the aisles. "Hello, I am calling to report that the mitigation spec. is wearing clothes far too tight/bright/low cut for my tastes and I am paying her salary with my tax dollars so I demand that she wears a burqua" doesn't seem like it will get much traction.

Someone's family member has died in every case that she works on. I can hate Jodi, I can hate rent-an experts and what they have to say, I can even hate the spectacular amount of side-boob that I was exposed to yesterday, but I'm not going to make a federal case out of it and cause her any grief at her place of employment.

My other thought, since I understand she is the mitigation specialist, is that she might be trying to dress more provocatively to make a contrast to JA's librarian appearance, ie, taking one for the team. Otherwise, it makes no sense to me.
