Interesting discussion on Dr Drew, on how his childhood left scars which allowed him to be sucked in by Jodi. That's like another level of sadness in this case.

I have always thought that his early years affected his attraction to Jodi. It was raw attraction, intense, unhealthy even.
And I agree with you about another level of sadness in this so very sad case.

Great idea but I don't think so . Here's the closet photo and there's a blue shirt. I do believe however that she absolutely was well aware of all of Travis' photos. I wonder where he kept it , if it was at his house or on his computer etc. She must have seen it!

Every time I see a pic of TA's closet, I am amazed on how many shoes he had. He had more shoes than I have and I have many.

Not that has been entered into evidence. I didn't watch all of the testimony, but I didn't see anything that goes into detail regarding the type of horrific childhood that the family had until their grandmother took them all in and raised them.

It will come in at some point. Most likely in the sentencing phase...

In the victim impact statements?

I'm still so jealous of his ability for buying shoes...and for his tidiness. There will be justice for you Travis! There will be...

I am in court and litigation way too much to ever feel sorry for an expert. There have been a few times that I have felt really bad for the way my pit bull attorney went after the lying, lying, liar. But that's a quasi-normal empathic response...until you remember that they are lying and cheating and trying to game a system. In this case, it's a brutal murder!!

I don't feel sorry for RS in the leAst bit. He wasn't "one of JA's victim's"! He has free will..he is a highly educated individual who had all the opportunities in life ( that not everyone gets) to make this world a better and/or safer place just by having been in it. No way will I ever feel sorry for him. In fact, I would feel sorry for Jodi before I felt sorry for that "expert"....-and trust me, that is saying something.

I couldn't agree more!!! And after day 1 of non being prepared and disorganized, he should have pulled an all nighter getting papers in order, reviewing dates, etc!!!!! My attorney would have chewed him up and spit him out too!!! And any of our witnesses, primarily an EXPERT, are NEVER so unprepared - EVER!!!!!!! It's honestly a disgrace to experts everywhere as well as the system, IMO.

This is so O/T but every time I see Travis' closet I just marvel at how organized and pretty it is. I wish my closets looked like that.

Me too... plus he has more shoes than I do. That closet is just so stunning. I wish I could do something like that.

Crazy thing is that JA did not request a lawyer. That is how slick she thinks she is. She went on and on to the detective thinking she would really walk out of that interrogation room. Scott free.

That is most likely when we will hear about who Travis REALLY was. Although Juan Martinez will hopefully give the jury a photo array during his closing arguments........Travis before, and after.

jumpin on a limb, please don't beat me. i think jm is a pretty good dresser. i like her suits.
I have no issue with her clothes either...AZ is pretty casual, even in courts. Heck my shark divorce lawyer came to court in a white suit and bolo tie with a chuck of turquoise in the middle  Like this one:

I have no issue with her clothes, heels, whatever. She looks sharp to me. Now her mitigation specialist on the other hand...nooooooooo....even for casual AZ just...no. Not a club. Nurmi.....well I am not a fan of his ties or color coordination lets just say.

I thought his father died in a motorcycle accident, but I may have dreamt that :/

He did.

Let's review today's testimony:

Alternate Reality= BullShiiiiite and Unicorns.

Pacifists kick their Moms...for no apparent reason.

Metal Bars cause detachment.

Also ... M'erF'er kicked a dog!!! That's it!! I wanna give her a red-azzed beat down.:cautionDrunk:

I find this ALvoilette very impressive....so far.

That's All.

I'm just glad Doc $ is off the stand. ALV is a breath of fresh air, and YES I am also interested in what she has to say.

Why was the doctor at the end of the day standing in the middle of the aisle for a few minutes by himself? I can't figure that out and I just came in the door.

I think anything that makes fun of people that has nothing to do with their character, etc. is just low and petty. Like Jodi's body parts, her appearance, Samuels' appearance, Nurmi's appearance, etc.

It's just mean spirited. I have brought this up before.

IMO Jodi's body parts are fair game. I mean, have you SEEN them?

:furious: OMG ... is anyone watching this HLN Show ? I have it on in the background.

:furious: I just do not think I can sit here and watch this ...

They have Peter Odom on and he is saying that Travis was abusive ... Dude, you got this totally wrong ! Jodi was the abuser !

I just can't believe HLN is going this far ... I mean are they trying to be "fair and balanced" ? Really ?

:moo::banghead::moo:

As I posted on the other thread in regards to the domestic violence and self defense expert about to testify, she might have to warp the truth.

ALV is credible enough to listen to her testimony. What she has to say will have to explain

how Jodi was the one in control at all times and in many relationships,

that she beat her own mother, and has a combative relationship with this same mother that sits in the courtroom everyday,

stalked all those bfs,

she was considered a sociopath by Travis and he felt scammed by Jodi,

ended up being the one that used a gun on a man who asked her to get out of his life,

lies continueously to defend herself, and everyone knows liars seize power and control with their lies and manipulations.

Nobody controlled Jodi ever. Jodi was never in an isolating relationship.

ALV is there with some points to make that will require her to make Travis the abuser. We all know that's how she has to testify. No doubt, Juan is well prepared for ALV.

BBM

Nobody ever controlled Jodi, so much so that when her parents, rightfully, tried she moved out and quit school to avoid having to live by someone elses rules (in her eyes being controlled).

I thought his father died in a motorcycle accident, but I may have dreamt that :/

According to the father's memorial on Find A Grave, he died in a motorcycle accident. You didn't dream it!

I think if there is a defense witness who can and will hold her own against Juan, it will be this one. DV is her entire life, just as Juan's entire life is prosecuting criminal cases. Her passion is equivalent to his, in other words. Let the games begin.

There is a good chance she will be a formidable opponent, however, in the end I believe Juan Martinez will win.

BBM I did not think it was funny and I would bet alot of WS members did not think it was funny to make fun of Dr. Samuels. Maybe not so much hypocrisy here as you might think.

Give it a couple days, and everyone will be making fun of LaViolette too! I have ZERO respect for Dr. Samuels, as he was unprepared, his work was sloppy, and YES, he looked liked Gus Searcy.

In the victim impact statements?
. Yes. I believe so. Additionally, it may even come out in rebuttal if the State can't get it on cross of ALV. Personally, I would bust the narrow door definition between lovers/spouses of "domestic violence" wide open!! I would enlarge the scope to encompass the entire family when domestic violence, abuse, neglect, etc...is involved.
