I'm a true crime book fiend--although it's pretty hard to find any well written ones anymore. Remember the good old days of Fatal Vision & books that were 350+ pages? At least it's fun to reread the good ones like Helter Skelter!

You should check out a documentary that visits all the places in CA where Charlie & family hung out. It's from a guy that does murder tours in LA--I'll have to find out what the name is--it's very eerie![/QUOTE]

I want Ms ALV to answer the following:

- On your continuum, under which category would taunting the family of the dead victim fall?

- On your continuum, under which category would slashing tires fall? What about hacking into social media accounts? Breaking into a partner's home and stealing journals?

- What about going through your partner's cell phone? Following your ex-partner while on a date with a new love interest? Peeping through your ex-partner's windows?

- Driving an hour-and-a-half to confront your partner's new love interest?

- Hitting a sibling with a baseball bat? Hitting or kicking a parent?

I'm sure there's more, but that's a start.

I can't wait for Juan to turn this around and put the focus back on the true victim, TRAVIS!

Since LaViolette mentioned kicking dogs, I would hope that clip of Jodi telling Flores about kicking the dog might come in, possibly during rebuttal. But I would love to see that question along with the ones you posted! Oh, and so many more!

I don't think Juan will be as aggressive with ALV as he was with Samuels because he won't need to be. She will be a state witness when he finishes his cross. She doesn't seem like the type to be all Jodi all the time, who thinks she's the best thing since sliced bread, even if she did slaughter an innocent man and I expect her to be fair. :twocents:

Every defense witness thus far has turned out far better for the state and I don't see this one ending any differently.

This is OT but since we are in a holding pattern waiting for the trial to start I will share.

Yesterday the post lady blew her horn. I went outside and I had a package from my best friend from Tucson Az.

Guess what it was????

I opened it up and it is a large bag of Tootsie Pops and taped to the TP bag was two packages of Pop Rocks. Baaaawhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!:floorlaugh:

I couldn't stop laughing.

When hubby comes home and sees them......he immediately asked me "are you going to braid your hair too?":blushing:

Did you hear the woman interviewed? Cannot remember where... I will look. She worked with JA as a waitress and JA thought someone flirted with her bf at the time. They said JA ran and locked herself in the bathroom and proceeded to have a tantrum. She even kicked a hole in the wall!!! AT WORK of all places. I thought it was hogwash but now I think the woman was being honest!!
This would have been like before DB so 2000-2002 maybe?

JA is takes photo's while Travis 1st gets in the shower (hence no flash), gets closer and Travis hears/spots her there or maybe a flash does go off and Travis sees it..
JA has the gun, spouting off she will kill herself and some trumped up story that the photos will be Proof and/or JA spouted she will make it look like He killed her(?) by the photo shoot.. (she crazy so no telling what was said)
Travis may have somehow talked her out of it hence the sitting position in the shower.. shower door was open by the time of those photos..
Maybe Travis did reach for her/gun/knife and then camera dropped; IMO she had that knife handy like tucked in the back of her pants..
1st stab to chest could have happened while he was reaching and crawling near the bathtub; blood splatter while stabbing him more (in back and neck) while he was heading toward the sink area using the walls for support trying to get up etc.. if this timing works.. thoughts?

Hmmmm.....you could be right.

Although she's a narcissist and they don't kill themselves. She had an angry plan in the works IMO when she decided to drive from CA to his house, armed with a gun and at least one knife that we know of. Whether it was "take me with you to Cancun or else" or just "I hate you and now you're going to die" we'll never know, but I don't think she used the threat of suicide that day. IMO she was on a mission to kill.

I think you're spot on about Travis maybe reaching for the gun or knife, he had to have known he was in mortal danger and tried to protect himself.

Poor soul. He didn't deserve what that psychopath did to him. May he RIP.

She used flash in the very first two shower photos, 5:22:24 and 5:22:36, 10 minutes before the photo of him being dragged, bleeding, which prove the shower door was open because glass would have reflected the flash back and ruined the shots. She uses flash again twice more in the first minute. No idea why she didn't use flash in others.

Can anyone guess WHY she is making him lie down on his right side, left arm in the air, at the 1:46 mark in this video? In court JM identified it as Exhibit 157, taken at 5:28:54 on June 4. That was 86 seconds [1 minute 26 seconds] after the preceding photo that is at the 1:39 mark in this video. These really creep me out make me angry with JA for putting him through that added indignity. :furious:

I understand why the justice system does not allow people such as Ms. Talbot to testify. However, in retrospect, it appears that many people who knew both Travis and Jodi had no doubts that Jodi was directly involved in his murder and told thepolice from the very beginning. Surely someone saw something direct they could testify to that would portray Jodi as she truly is. This just baffles me.

i grew up in kansas and was 10 when the clutters were killed. it made a huge impression on me. i think it was the first murder case i got interested in, being an avid newspaper reader at an early age. that really was a great book and it's a really interesting case.

The murder location/body was located in AZ, so that's the jurisdiction. Only the killer traveled.

Murder is not a Federal crime, so the FBI wouldn't investigate.
