Every defendant has the chance of being found not guilty, that is the whole reason they have trials.

As of right now, she is facing LWOP or Death.
Unless a lesser included is given in jury instructions.

Which is, of course what today was ALL about. They want the instruction read to the jurors that they have to think what the mind of a "battered woman" would do, rather than an normal person. I think they lost, and I think Nurmi will loose when they argue it in front of the Judge before deliberations.

I do believe there is some injury to it, however, not sustained by Travis kicking her, and if anything it occurred on June 4, 2008 when she was slashing and stabbing Travis. I also believe she probably can straighten it out when she chooses.

What really upsets me with ALV is that she had to have known that Jodi is lying about being physically abused and yet she chose to testify to the contrary just for money.

Some people were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was duped by the defense team, but IMO, I firmly believe she was not duped at all and just sided with the defense just for money.

The main reason I feel this way is because she herself said that she tries to use other information to corroborate what someone is telling her. Weeeelllllllllllllll, then why didnt she talk with her parents for 5 minutes each, which is the exact amount of time it took both of her parents to practically yell out to LE officer that Jodi has had serious mental issues.
We know the reason that ALV did not takl with her parents. Its because she KNEW. She totally knows what she is doing and she totally knows she is feeding a bunch of crap under oath just for MONEY!!!!

What an evil person ALV is. This is beyond cruel what she is doing. It is CRIMINAL. And if she has her way, and Jodi walks, and Jodi kills again, then that future blood will be directly on her hands.

And that is not even counting the public thrashing of Travis based all on Jodis lies, of which she has to know are lies.

I hope she can sleep at night with what she is doing, because I think KARMA is right around the corner for people like her.

Even if they did X-ray it, it might show it had been broken...but we have no idea how or when...defense will claim proof of abuse injury. :furious:

This is what Jodi told ALV in those forty four hours she spent her. She wasn't in a fog then. Jodi needs for people to think Travis left it (again no fault of Jodi's here) in the bathroom and she just grabbed it and then went nuts (or into a fog) because of her fear of a man she just shot in the head accidentally with the gun going off on it's own. Is Jodi going back for it is more premeditation?

Two things about the knife if she has to get it- 1) it renders her 62 second timeline null and void and 2) change of weapons makes it murder.

If she shot him as she claims, she is legally bound to STOP the attack. Shooting him, then having cognition to continue the attack by considering the location of the knife and using it is MURDER and no longer self defense.

The reference to 'terrorism' doesn't seem overreactive....my estranged husband was charged with 'terroristic threatening' of yours truly. Never put the two terms together till a poster questioned its appropriateness.

It is actually a term used within IPV circles too...it's termed intimate terrorism.

Think of how much information we have that the jurors have not seen. I think that once the trial is over, we are going to be utterly shocked by how much MORE was not allowed in! We don't even know what it is but this woman wrote a manifesto "in case" she got famous? OMG. I really think that we are going to be gobsmacked!

I am dying to know what is in the manifesto!! There is something really creepy, even for JA, about the fact she wrote a manifesto. The layers of her crazy seem to be endless. I will never understand why they didn't go with insanity, or diminished capacity. I think they would have actually had a shot

It was after the first afternoon break I think. She would put her jacket on backwards just covering her arms (and lap). When she stood for the jury off came the jacket. It was really wierd.

:seeya: I'd be guilty of that. I just didn't want to really accept a domestic violence expert would willingly, knowingly, disregard actual evidence of behaviors, on Jodi's part, being consistent with an abusive personality.

Any admittedly optimistic hope in my heart was very quickly extinguished for good with her blame-game of stalking victims. Absolutely, word-failingly deplorable. I call stalking psychological torture for very good reason...to dismiss and disregard that because he didn't act the way she thinks he should have - :banghead:!
