There's a thread somewhere here for android users and our problems with live streaming.

I use wildabouttrial.com - they have a mobile app but I don't have much luck with that. I just stream over my wifi connection on my Samsung.

Ustream used to work for us android users, until they did a recent update and then for some unknown reason it quit working for us.

I did have to download Adobe Flash Player for Androids to make UStream work - but since it's not working now...guess that's a moot point.

I am a UStream user as well. Last week I had to use WAT, but this week UStream is back and working. I prefer that to WAT, as their screen doesn't adjust to my phone and it buffers WAY more than Ustream.

And to be clear, if you are using UStream on your phone, yes, you will have to download the app, if you use it with your browser on laptop or desktop, no you don't have to download anything.

Just search AZfamily.com

IMO, pedo didn't even come into her mind until after her first two lies did not pan out...all made up

Well perhaps but....I think there was still a plan to set him up never-the-less and perhaps expose him to his Bishop (or whoever the head of LDS is). She was going to either destroy his life or end it. I have no doubt about that.

No one tapes the other in the cloak of secrecy during a phone sex conversation if not to use later on for something unscrupulous. Like, blackmail on their spouse or something along those lines.

No one that I've ever met in my 54 years has EVER gotten off listening to an audio tape! Sex, when not physical, is a visual not an audible stimuli. Jodi's immaturity really shows its true colors within her web of lies because they are utterly nonsensical.

Look at it this way:

We can't be sure why Arias brought the gun. I would tend to think it was out of the adage "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it", due to whatever "plan" she had for the murder itself not really being solid in her mind, or to deal with inadvertency, witnesses or the possibility of taking out someone else if Travis was on the couch with another women.

But in the actual murder itself none of the wounds were immediately fatal. The stab to the inferior vena cava and pericardium would have been eventually fatal, but not immediately. The stab wounds to the back and slashes to the head were mostly superficial, being stopped by bone. The most devastating and fatal wound was the throat cut.

Now, there's really no subtle way to put this: Cutting people's throats and videotaping it has become a preferred terror tactic. They did it in Iraq, during the Chechen War and Mexican drug cartels do it. Many of these videos have ended up on the internet. I've seen a lot of them.

No one ever dies easy this way. In all the videos, even when a person's throat is cut down to the spine relatively quickly resulting in unconsciousness within 30 seconds or so, unconscious doesn't mean dead. It doesn't mean peaceful either. Even with the blood flow to the brain interrupted, the body still struggles to breathe. In the end it may come as "agonal breathing" where maybe a handful of reflexive breaths are taken in a minute. Before that, the body will work at breathing, sometimes almost hyperventilating even though the person is unconscious. On top of that, the breathing is done with copious amounts of blood flowing into the sectioned trachea, the victim is essentially drowning in their own blood. The body will struggle, writhe, fight in a purposeless manner to continue autonomic functions. This will continue until the person doing the cutting works their way through the vertebrae and cuts the spinal cord, which is no easy feat with a knife, or until the dying person runs out of steam in a minute or two...or three.

It's not pretty. It is, in fact, horrific. That is why cartels, for example, videotape it to show what happens to rival cartel members and others that would cross them.

I don't think, at the moment of the head shot, that Travis Alexander was dead. He was mortally wounded, but the "post mortem" appearance of the head wound was due, in part, to there being essentially no blood flow to the head.

If this was the case with Travis Alexander, that once his throat was cut his body still struggled to stay alive, and I have no reason to think that the throat cutting of Travis Alexander was any different than the sample I've seen, then Jodi Arias resorted to the gun as a coup de grace, to finish it because, despite what she saw in movies, killing someone is a lot harder and takes longer than she counted on.

Very difficult to read this post but thank you. I think this is what happened.

O/t hope everyone in the Midwest stays safe. Sounds like bad weather is and will be happening.

Floods, floods, and more floods. It sucks. The rain can end at any time, please and thank you.

I don't think the THs are the best source of reliable information in this trial. JMO.

I agree, they get people in the law profession to take the defendents side and the prosecuters side. Its only acting. We have no idea what they really think.

Good morning fellow WS'ers and Mods :)

:coffee: in hand, day off, let's :please: a FULL day in court.

I thought of another theory last night:

Looking at Travis's history he seemed to prefer brunettes (Deanna, Mimi) and Jodi was "pornstar" blonde.

I wonder if in Salinas she did die her hair brown and when she went to Mesa tried to show-off her "new look" to Travis along with the ID concealment factor?

I think it was 100% identity cover, afterall, why would she care to show him she's now a brunette? She knew he was going to be dead soon.

Sorry if this is a repeat post, but are we having court today? Tru TV is showing Disorder in the court

I think if she saves JA from the death penalty she will be popular with the guilty set. There are people that are guilty of the crime, As Jodi is. This is not about guilt really.. This is about saving her from death. I think if she can do that for Jodi, It is a success.

But isn't JW a public defender? I think she'll always have clients since the court assigns those to public defenders right?

If I was close to JW, I don't think I'd be real supportive of her deliberate appearance as Jodi's BFF. Huddling, giggling, that image of her with Jodi's arm around her and her smile.....ick. I personally can't get past the sorority sister besties act to be sympathetic.

JW has made some really poor choices in her handling of this case. It's no one's fault but her own if she's not prepared or looks like a fool with her inane lines of questioning.

As a defense attorney she can't look disgusted with her client. I'm empathic to her career and the consequences of this trial, and the negative public view of her when we all really have no idea if she feels like we do about Jodi. Her obligations to her defense put her in a nasty light and shes been bullied for months.

Personally, I'm not a fan of her approach, her tactics, or her in general, and I don't support what she does on a moral level, but that's why I don't have an interest in being a defense attorney. Someone had to do it.

:croc::waiting::laughcry:

The questioning really is stupid and out of line and may I say...

she must move on she must stop this insanity..is her client telling her what and how to ask questions?
Also: showing a copyrighted paper as she did after saying it was wrong for her to do it..am I confusing you? well join the club! This line of questions is only to fill time or drag it out or?:HHJP:

Grasping for straws on a very public scale...

It's more sad and reeks of desperation than anything else...

"Happy as he** in jail"....says a lot about Jodi. I wonder if the parents might have been a little bit too, since they didn't have to worry about her shenanigans for a change.

Catching up and watching JVM right now.

Seeing the replay on Dr. Demarte's testimony. Wow, she is so calm when answering Wilmott's dummmbbb questions.

Keep that up, Dr!! Just stay calm and intelligent and you will win this dance!

Oh my goodness. I got sick just reading this. I could never, ever watch anything so gruesome.

The Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows to watch, but lately it has gotten so gruesome I have to look away at some of the scenes. And that's just a TV show with dummies and fake blood.

I can't imagine seeing the real thing.

I watch The Walking Dead too!

I've seen one real video of a throat slashing. It is highly, highly disturbing. Probably one of the most disturbing things I've ever see and I've seen a lot of that stuff. It makes me sick to think of what Travis went through at the hands of that demon.

The pedophilia accusation was contrived to bolster her "abuse" story that his behavior got worse after she walked in on him taking care of business with the photo on the bed. While her defense is comprised of one lie after the other, the pedo stuff was a huge blunder. She originally told ALV (and maybe others) that Travis had *advertiser censored*/pics on his computer. She dialed it back to the photos on the bed story because nothing was found on his computer, phone, etc., and it wouldn't hold up. Based on juror questions on the subject, it seemed that they dismissed the pedo claim in its entirety. Thank goodness.

Yes! I've been waiting for the DT to reference that again. I thought maybe Samuels would dwell on it, but poof! Another lie wasted, and after Arias went to all that trouble to make it up.

Unfortunately for the DT some of TA's friends gave a video to Dr Drew in which Travis is talking about when he was mugged, a knife held to his throat - the fear he felt....JA is lying on his lap listening. It made for interesting viewing...
She took the story and transposed it to her life- plagiarized the whole story from him !

She's amazing. She makes JW look like an idiot just by answering the questions factually and to-the-point.

Can anyone who watches on an android recommend a link for the live trial that works??? Tyia :blowkiss:
You can find live stream links to the trial at the beginning of each new thread--including the one to AZ Central.

Her total isolation and 23 hours a day in her cell is the only reason I want the death penalty. I think she would thrive in a gen pop prison--she's a warped parasitical predator with aggression and anger problems. She deserves to be all by herself for the rest of her life. JMO

Extremely well said!!! :seeya: Plus the hour of recreation time would be by herself.
