911: 911 emergency
BL: Yes, I'm in the middle of a field. In fact we just pushed some guys over, right here going towards Abilene on both sides. My truck ran out of gas. There’s one car here. A guy (or some guys) chased me to the woods. (Unintelligible to me)Please hurry!
911: Okay, now run that by me one more…
BL: And when I was talking to em I sort of (or suddenly) like ran into em
911: Oh, you ran into him, okay.
BL: Yeah-I got the first guy (unintelligible, 911 operator talks over)
911: Do you need an ambulance?
Other voice: Yeah.
BL: No, I need the cops.
911: Okay. Is anybody hurt? Sir? Hello? Hello? Hello?
This recording is so plain to me. (I think?) I truly think he "ran into" some guys who were on the side of the road, as in he just saw them. I too don't believe he hit anything or anyone with his vehicle. (He could have been doing a drug deal himself in fact and trying to cover that up! But I am not going to judge him or hold that against him either.)
"There's one car here" indicates there was definitely someone else on the road and I believe they headed back towards San Angelo before LE and Kyle arrived at the truck. OR they could have hid on one of the side roads or adjoining fields too.
"They chased me into the woods" is evident because he is definitely out of breath in the 911 call, trying to get his story out and get help all the while very winded and out of breath.
"I've got one guy here" makes me think he has overpowered the one guy. I still think the other guy on the 911 tape sounds like someone is sitting on him when he says "yea" to "do you need an ambulance?"
Why doesn't he answer when the 911 operator says hello? I am not sure if he is trying to be quiet or if he disconnected or what, but unfortunately I think this is where "The other guy/s" came into the picture and did Brandon in and rescued their friend Brandon had at the time of the 911 call. Who were these people? Drug dealers more than likely, but why get rid of Brandon unless it was a drug deal gone bad.
I have never been around drug dealers and would not pretend to know how they behave, but we know for a fact BL had used in the past. If that was the case, why would some drug dealers kill him because he saw something? I kind of feel like anyone who has purchased and sold drugs knows how to behave around other people who do this kind of business so why kill him just because he came upon them?
I think there has to be something else we are all missing. If it was drug related, I don't think they would kill him over not having money to buy as much as he said he would or something like that.....maybe it was over something old or he was set up? I still wish we could find out about the argument at Walmart....if it occurred. And if it did occur, what it was about. I am sure we probably will never know the answers to why BL is no longer with his family, but it makes me sad and I never knew him.
