Sorry if I caused any confusion. The link I posted was in regards to Danielle's previous divorce, and nothing to do with Austin? I only posted it because it pertains to Danielle, and I was not sleuthing anyone else. Just to clarify! Sorry again.

I still think it's such a mistake to get rid of the Facebook group(s) and only have a separate website. Sooo many people read their feeds, or remember to check things via social media and not individual site anymore. There are still several missing people who have fallen off the radar a little bit on WS but I still check their FB groups!

I saw on FB that the family decided to keep the FB page going, at least for a little while. I think it is good to keep posts on people's timelines as a reminder that she is still missing. I can imagine that it is also really hard to have to deal with the negative aspect of FB.

I also wondered if the extensive flooding would bring something to light. I hope so.

As much as we would like for it to, I seriously doubt it. Anything that would have been useful is way down the river now. I just wish more details and info would be given on the party. Are people from the party not speaking?

If Austin is such an introvert and doesn't talk to anyone in town (as mentioned by a poster who visited a store Austin frequents), why were at this outdoor party with lots of people partying and drinking? Someone invited them.

The couple must have known these people well enough they felt comfortable bringing their child. I don't get why info on the party never made it to the media.

Yes, the whole issue surrounding the party is interesting. Purely speculation on my part, but it makes me wonder if something happened at the party that would be detrimental to the investigation if it got out, otherwise, you would think that there would be something where people at the party were talking about what happened that night? You usually see interviews in the media with the people that they were with when they were last seen in public right when the case is first being investigated and has the most media attention.

Again, many questions and no answers and sadly for the family, no Danielle.

Or pictures would've been posted, whether it was a kids/adult birthday party or just a hanging out BBQ'n w/friends...normally there are pictures.
The only reason there wouldn't be talk or chat about the party is if maybe it was like some kind of adult only type of private gathering.
Or.....Was there ever a party?? Where did that info come from? And has it ever been confirmed by anyone? Can't talk about or post pictures of an event that never happened.

Oh wow. I am very familiar with the location she was last seen in Waller (Fieldstore Area) lived there for years. My ex-husband still lives about 5-10 mins from the trailer park mentioned on the missing flier. I will be there this weekend due to family stuff. I still have lots of friends in this area and we are around the same age as Danielle. I think I might ask some of them if they know or heard anything. I can't believe I haven't heard about this till stumbling across it on here. I do currently live in Houston and I guess missed this being on the news.

And now that I am really thinking about this. My ex-husbands ex-girlfriend lived in one of those trailers around the time that Danielle went missing. We are facebook friends I will try to see if she knows anything too.

Is there a local paper in Magnolia that may have covered it more thoroughly than the Houston news outlets?

I think someone at the party knows something.

OR there is a stigma of victim blaming that makes people stay back because they think she knew he was violent, had threatened her, harmed her kids, etc. some people are still very adamant that a victim can control an abuser based on the victim's actions when we all know that is not true. If one thing doesn't set off an abuser, something else will -- it has zilch to do with the victim.

I met sister of Danielle at a fund raiser for Texas Equusearch yesterday at Jackie's Brickhouse in Kemah. Such a sad story. Danielle where are you?

I spent last night reading the entire thread to get caught up. Wow what a bizarre and heartbreaking story IMO Danielle never made it home after the party. Too bad a neighbor did not see the family arriving back home afterwords to verify if she was with them or not. The husband's silence is very telling to me. I really hope answers come soon.

One of the local TV stations did run the story 2 or 3 times. I think it ran a couple of times the weekend after she went missing, and then again about a month later. Unfortunately, Houston and the surrounding areas have so many of these types of stories (missing, murdered, random findings of bodies along the side of a road), that the news outlets pick them up for a quick blurb and then they are gone.

I think the local Potpourri paper covered it but there was no information other than what was in the flyer and local media. That has a free delivery circulation that goes out to local residents, we got that. It also went into another local paper, but it wasn't one I was familiar with and we don't get it.

I believe that her Mom and sister paid to have flyers made up and then delivered to homes on certain postal routes in the area asking people to check their property. I don't have details of how far or exactly what locations were covered. There was talk about it initially, and then I did see a follow up question from someone that had received one, so that definitely happened.

IMO there is information that is being withheld. Going by posts that were put onto the Find Danielle FB page that were deleted etc., there is information that is not wanted to be shared or "out there" in the public domain, for whatever reason. It may or may not have to do with her going missing, but there appears to be a "behind the scenes" story going on that has not been made public. It just adds to the shroud of mystery concerning her disappearance. The reasons given for deleting the "chatter" was that it would not help to find her. Again, speculation on my part, but it really seems to me they need proof that she is not alive to make a case.
