Holy moly, he very strongly resembles the missing child abducted from around Rock (Sean Lanier) that Bohemian posted upthread. [emoji15]

Only one male child close to the target age group, allegedly abducted by his mother in 2017. He was abducted from Round Rock but is thought to have travelled to Mexico:

That's what I thought when seeing the sketch. If the sketch is accurate to his skin tone, he's not very dark. Maybe he's of mixed ancestry (European white and hispanic)?

Sean does seem to resemble the sketch. He is biracial (Hispanic/Caucasian), aged 2 years and 3 months old, 2’ 5” tall and has ‘light brown’ hair (it looks dark brown in his photo) and brown eyes.

If someone in Galveston or Greater TX thinks the resemblance is strong enough, please call this in to LE. (I can’t as I live in Australia.)

The most recent news report posted up thread says the child is Hispanic, black hair and between 3 - 5 years of age. IMOO not the same child as the one from Round Rock.

"Hispanic" indicates Spanish (i.e. European; white) ancestry, and he is possibly mestizo -- which would account perhaps for the skin tone.

My 2, almost 3 year old is closer in size to many friend’s 4-5 year old children and my 5 1/2 year old is closer to the size of an average 6 1/2-7 year old. We have close nieces and nephews who are comparatively smaller on the charts than my kids are. My 5 year old has started losing milk teeth at about the same time as all of my older kids did. Dental findings upon autopsy should help to narrow down age a little bit.

That’s not entirely correct.

News reports say the found boy looks to be at least partially of Hispanic descent.

“The young boy, who may have been at least partially of Hispanic descent, was found by a 911 caller at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Seawall Boulevard.“

The RoundRock child is Hispanic and white, according to the website.

Will someone in Texas PLEASE call this in? (Or can anyone? If the latter, I’ll do it myself.)

Same with my nephews. Both were in 95+ percentile for their size and weight at 12 months on. Looked like 4 or 5-year-olds when they were 2 or 3. (*Insert shrill, auntie-like “They’re gonna be famous pro basketball players someday!” quip here.)

BBM. Thank you OC. I also think it might be worth a shot. It may turn out to be a long one but it’s better than none.

(btw, snap!)

I called it in. I hope we all know more soon, either way.

Does Sean Lanier have a thread on WS? I’m not having any luck on my search for one.

If the body wasn't badly decomposed (which we don't know yet, right?) and the sketch is fairly accurate...I don't see a resemblance to Sean at all, personally. The child in the sketch has wider set eyes, different ears, darker hair.

Thank you again OC. Only time will tell.

Sean doesn’t have a thread on WS as far as I can see. That may be because his was a familial abduction.

It is a sketch of a deceased child though Amy — not a photograph. There may be some postmortem changes to his facial characteristics (especially if the child was submerged or immersed in sea water).

You’re welcome, and no problem. I’d rather be safe than sorry. Doesn’t hurt anything to call it in, and the similarities warrant it, imho. ❤️

My heart is heavy. Sending up prayers for both boys and their families tonight. ... And for all the missing and unidentified children everywhere.
