The FBI and Texas Equusearch are assisting in the search. They spent time this morning mapping out search strategies. They're starting their search at the apartment complex where Jonathan lives and then expanding from there. They're looking for any clues that may lead to his location, including a portable or cordless phone which is missing from the home.

...and we have yet another version of the story...this one says he was last seen Friday night, not afternoon, and that he ran home from the sitter's; even though Mom changed her story to say he stayed home alone, not with a sitter. URRRGH!

What the heck?!!! How can people think they can change such huge details of a story when they've already been quoted saying something different??? :waitasec:

I'm stuck with those phone calls:

""I got two phone calls at work," mother Angela Davis said. "My job told me that my son called one time saying it was an emergency, and I never got that call. The second time I got a phone call from my boss. She said that it was a lady, and by the time I got to the phone they hung up.""

Now that it is known that a cordless home phone is missing, makes me think that perhaps Jonathan was faced with something when his step-father came home and Jonathan ran out of the house with the phone to call his mother.

fwiw.... this buffalo bayou area is soooo filled with crime that there is actually a "bayou body count" for all the bodies found.....

Houston is nicknamed the Bayou City because there are so many bayous. Buffalo Bayou is one of the largest and runs through downtown and around Memorial Park, a very large and well-used park.

The Bayou Body Count is a count of all crime-related deaths in the city of Houston, not just near Buffalo Bayou, as tracked by a local paper, The Houston Press. They are currently at #297.

If I understood right the mother is still questioned by the police at the station...

Well everyone, this little boy gripped me last night and I have not slept yet. I'm going to go sleep now. I just pray it doesn't take me 6 hours to catch up in this thread once I awake.

Take care all of you and hug your kids especially now.

ok, I must not have had the correct loaction of where he was last seen. This article states that it was Oak Street:

"
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As a mother makes an emotional plea to find her missing son, police believe the 12-year-old boy is in danger. Now, a special search team has been brought in to find him.

An Amber Alert is in effect and the search is underway for 12-year-old Jonathan Foster. Texas Equusearch is now involved in the search.

Dozens of volunteers gathered this morning at the Garden Oaks Baptist Church and are planning to go to eight to 10 possible locations to look for the fifth-grader.
Jonathan was last seen Friday night at his home on Oak Street near Garden Oaks. He had run home from a babysitter's house in the neighborhood. He was home playing video games when his stepfather says he stopped in, but Jonathan was gone just 25 minutes later when his mother came home from work.

"We are doing some driving and actually looking at these areas and then if they see an area where they could have dumped something, or a wooded or field area, they are going to be searching that," said Tim Miller with Texas Equusearch. ..."

Well, I would really like to know the SD's time line for Friday. They have not released anything about where he was and when, except for him saying he saw Jonathan at about 1:45. This really says very strongly that they are questioning him about this and we will know something when they are done with him.
I am truly p.o.'d at LE for sluffing this off as a runaway. Bad, bad move. Although, if it was the SD, it was probably too late by Friday night anyway. But, still, I truly believe if their 12 year old was missing, they wouldn't sit on it for two days.

Hopefully, Jonathan will be home when you awake.

New video about search.

Starting at about 1:30:

Reporter: "Also, they are looking for a portable or cordless home phone, which was missing from the boy's home."

This does not refer to the cell phone we've heard about from Aunt Renee. Are they saying that he may have taken the home phone handset when he left or was taken? Maybe he did not realize that it would not work unless it was within close range of the home? That could explain a 'hang-up" call, but I'm not convinced the calls weren't staged or made up by Mom and SD.

:waitasec: I don't see the comment indicating that the body found at the Bayou was a woman.

I see mention that there was a woman missing for the last few weeks.

Maybe I posted the wrong link... I have a thousand links going.

Is this comment referring to the burned body near east hardy or the body from tony marron park with what seemed to have reddish blonde hair (the bayou body found by the man walking his dog)
