Hi Guys, I am fluent in Spanish as I was born and raised in P.R. Here's the translation. BTW, the Godmother never says she was at the house that night.

Praying for Baby Joshua in New Braunfels

EG (Joshua's Godmother): We do not believe he is dead. No. We know he is alive.

Reporter: The family of little Joshua Davis are waiting for him to come back home. His disappearance since last friday has prompted an intense search in New Braunfels, Texas.

EG: Everybody wants him to come back home.

Reporter: Today the search continued with local police officers concentrating on a perimeter of a mile and a half, searching outside nearby houses from where he was last seen.

SB (Joshua's Mom): Well, I mean there was only one person that was at the house last time....

Reporter: Joshua's mom assured us that there was only one person at her house the day her son disappeared.

LT. MP: Really we don't have anything specific as in suspects......

Reporter: The New Braunfels Police indicate that they do not have any suspects in this case. Nevertheless, the authorities have interviewed family and acquaintances.

LT. MP: As of right now we do not have specific indicators of where he may be...

Reporter: As of this moment, there is nothing that indicates where little Joshua may be, Police reiterates. Meanwhile, we can only remember him.

EG: All the time he had the most beautiful eyes and beautiful smile. I'm also not going to stop until he comes back home. I'm not going to stop.

I don't understand that statement. Only one person at her house? When ? I am confused.

LOL, I'm thinking they may not be together anymore. I think we automatically go to thinking that these are "old" grandparents in there 70's (at least I do when I hear the word grandparent). But, given that she is just 20, it is theoretically possible that her parents or the "grandparents" are not even 40 yet, very likely in their early 40's. Just a thought and something to keep in mind, KWIM?

SB's mom is 40, not sure about dad. So, yes, they are young.

From the interviews with the Parents (not really enough to make a good solid impression for me) but I am struck by the fact that they both refer to Josha in the present tense.

Many times but not all the time we will see parents or caregivers who are later proven to have done something to the missing child, or have direct knowledge of their partner harming the child, slip and refer to the missing child in past tense.

I'm still going to watch closely if we have more interviews to hear from them. But to be honest in comparison to some other missing children, we haven't had a lot of interviews with these parents.

I do really wish we could get an interview with one of the other adults that were in the home at that time. I find it kind of odd (but not really raising my eyebrows) that media hasn't followed up on that. It doesn't mean one thing or another, just a wish I have for more info.

Still trying to catch up and I have only 30 mins before I have a meeting I can not miss.

Prayers for Joshua.

I think that may have been misconstrued. Since the beginning she has said that there is one person that was there that she would suspect of taking Joshua. Which interview was that from?

Also ETA: What are the dot dot dot to show? Usually that is a depiction that the speaker said more, but it was not included in the quote. That is telling. The media airs what they want, not what we want them to. The sound bite can be an evil thing.

That is confusing...maybe only one GUEST and everyone else lived there? hmmm

You know what? I'm looking at some of the videos and the parents are actually crying. I mean you can see tears, they're not whining or whimpering, they are crying. I'm 50/50 on this one, but like someone else said, I'd like to see what the other adults-and even the 6 year old-eventually say...

The grandfather says about two sentences that the media has bothered to record. His name is J. Davis and his statements are included in the post with the parents statements. An aunt also speaks on camera, her comments are in the same post, however, I don't know if she was present the night in question.

Help? Am I allowed to post pics here? If it walks the line, I'll just not post it, not sure when it comes to TOS...

JD: "Someone had seen my son in Sadine (sp) Texas, maybe? At like a laundromat or something like that. And another caller had called in about seeing him, so hopefully, you know, that leads to something."

I am willing to bet this statement has been looked at somewhere in the past four threads, but where is Sadine (sp) TX? Is there one? (I suck at geography, and I'm not even sure that I got the name of the town right. It's kinda like playing telephone.)

Maybe they are talking about Seguin, TX?

If in doubt, always ask a mod :)

BUT you can link to it if it's online like a newspaper website or something, or a pic of Joshua :)

It's a link to photobucket, and how do I find one of these mods?

Quickest way is to click on the red triangle at the top right corner of your own post :) That will get your question to whatever mod is on duty the fastest.

I myself am not quite sure how to figure out which 1 is on duty for which thread LOL

If you go to the main page for the Missing Forum, at the bottom there's a list of all the mods for this forum. I know that Texas Mist and Imamaze are both mods here.

If you click on their names there, you can message them from there, too.

Does anyone know how long LE will continue the physical search efforts on a large scale? At what point do they say we need more information before we can go forward?

It sure seems like the news efforts have dropped off severely in the last 48 hours. These folks need to do something to keep Josh's face out there.

NEW BRAUNFELS - Eleven days after his disappearance from his New Braunfels home, a wider circle has been drawn for missing toddler Joshua Davis.

According to data culled by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children - data based on other successful rescue efforts for missing children - a radius of almost two miles is required for young children that wander off. The initial one-mile radius wasn't broad enough, said Lt. Michael Penshorn of the New Braunfels Police Department.
