Missing woman's boyfriend investigated for domestic assault

WFAA has learned that Dallas police were called to Valdez' home at least twice in the last two years because Valdez allegedly assaulted her.

In both cases, police were told Valdez had a weapon and was beating his girlfriend. Her family confirmed the abuse reports, and said he is not helping in their search.

"We haven't seen him since ... Sunday," Espinosa's cousin Wendy Lopez said.

Wow!!! This does not sound good. [emoji37]

The thoughts & opinions stated above are that, MY random thoughts & opinions.

It's hard for me to even look at the picture of her abuser. Prayers for her family and especially her children.Prayers also that DPD are successful in finding Marisol's body and the evidence that they need to put this man away for the rest of his life.

P.S. I know I'm assuming in my statement . . . but the picture is becoming clear.

Are A House Fire & Disappearance Of Dallas Mom Linked?

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Investigators in Dallas want to know if a house fire is connected to the disappearance of a mother of three. Dallas police are now taking a look at what happened to the home of Marisol Espinosa, weeks before she went missing.

Members of Espinosa’s say police found several suspicious items that they will investigate further. Now they’re left wondering what, if anything, the items have to do with her disappearance.

Oh dear. I suppose no one else in the house saw her that morning? Uncooperative BF now missing. Either they are both victims or he is on the run in Mexico to escape arson and murder charges.

Of course, this is my opinion. He may have been taken by inter-stellar alien beings.

Former boyfriend of missing woman has violent history

In one case, her mother saw what happened and called 911.

"My daughter called me one day in the afternoon and told me to come quick, and I came and he was trying to choke her, and I pushed him," Rosemary Espinosa said.

News 8 has learned that in 2007, Valdez was arrested and indicted for allegedly stabbing a different ex-girlfriend, who later asked prosecutors to drop the case.

Her family says they recently turned over photos to investigators. They are torn apart photographs of Marisol and Valdez. The family says they found them while cleaning his house."Basically, they were all torn to pieces and hidden," Walls said.

And the family says arson investigators now believe a fire at Marisol's house just a few weeks before her disappearance is suspicious.

"That way, they can rule or rule out if it was arson, but the word he used was they 'found some suspicious items,'" Walls said.

Where is Marisol ?
This is so heartbreaking and why does it have to happen over and over again ?
Women's rights have come a long way over time but it is not enough.

Texas takes choking seriously. I'm surprised he wasn't locked up.

In 2009, the Texas Legislature passed a new law making Family Violence Strangulation or Suffocation a felony punishable by two to 10 years for the first offense and two to 20 years for subsequent convictions

Non-fatal strangulation is an important risk factor for homicide of women

Women who were the victims of completed or attempted homicide were far more likely to have a history of strangulation compared to the abused control women.
